And Glenn and I are friends on Facebook, so we communicate occasionally. He's big on white water kayaking.

Fwiw, I'm in touch with ski999 practically daily. His third book just came out, I finished it last night. He is still doing coaching and photography. His daughter still races, but is more soccer, and I don't think she will be traveling to races anymore.

12/8 or 9th is soon enough. No rush. Just need to beat last year. Not sure what the story was last year. Must be age.
-
Doug, I'll ski 70-80 days. No point in getting hit by someone the first day.
-
Personally, I usually give Day 1 a miss. And sometimes even day two.

I'm breaking in my new boots by doing my ski tuning in them. :-D

Sounds like you'd love Denton.

I agree. We're 2.5 hours from an interstate here. The population of our county (which is 60% of the size of the STATE of NJ) is all of 90,000. 5.3 million are sitting in the same space over in NJ.

They call the ski areas "metro ski areas". In other words, it's never going to be anything really neat...

Snow stake at the mountain

The snow here is lasting and getting refreshed every day. Have had to start shoveling the walk.

This morning.

Here's two: Found one for Tut, remember one on Asp. It would be interesting to know the numbers.

Well, for sheer fatalities, Marjie's might take the win. I would have expected them to say Cliffie, but given the perennial ice of Marjie's and the sheer number of people on it at once, Cliffhanger was easier. There have definitely been deaths on Marjies, but I don't know the number.

View from mine

Get ready.. My outgoing boots were 60... Which is why I didn't just get new liners. It will be interesting to see me getting used to stiffer boots. The old ones were great off piste..

I know the feeling, Justo. The first pair of boots I tried on felt perfect. I kept trying on more boots because it worried me, ended up totally confused. Then took the cousins of the first probably because I was leery of picking the first one. Can't imagine skiing 150's. Unless I was always on a bowling alley surface.

Your own self. Only reliable place out there.

I apparently stayed the same size, not surprising since it's the same brand. Tried on a Rossignol, sloppy in the mid foot and ankle. These boots right now are snug enough to drive me crazy sitting at the PC, which I hope means they pack down to perfect. I did loosen the last size and now my red spots are less so, which is nice for future needs as I plan to have these a few years as well.. A buck a day sounds good.

I don't have a Lange foot, what can I tell you?
-
These are 99-101.
-
Ummm, yeah, I was a little concerned, but my foot wasn't pressured at the time, as it was up in the air. Frankly, I'm thinking of loosening it so I can tighten it later and not pack it too quickly. Sat with the boots on today while I worked on the PC. Several red spots that were not noticeable while the boot was on, might go away if I loosened it. Too dangerous to walk in this house though, no carpet. The adjustment is pretty tiny, 2mm.

Yes, a little screw on the sole. However, while my foot was in it, he tightened it and I didn't feel a thing...

Got myself new boots after 462 days on the last pair. http://www.head.com/ski/products/boots/women/challenger-110-mya/6366/?region=us Interestingly, they were ten bucks cheaper at my local store compared to any price I've found on the net since then.
