  1. Seasonal stats mean exactly zip. Some start counting in October, some start opening day. What counts is what is ON THE GROUND.
  2. Didn't anyone tell you, it's not the length, it's what you do with it?
  3. Just because you're spending money doesn't mean you should throw it out the window with a bucket.
  4. Concept was to stay in Summit County or Park City and near a lot of DIFFERENT ski areas. Don't pay Vail's prices. Take your business elsewhere. Don't pay for a reputation. Pay for what YOU are skiing.
  5. The thing is, you can only cover so much territory in one day, no matter what the size of the place is. You're paying for terrain you are not using. If you want variety, ski a different area each day and pay a lower price per day.
  6. I would only have fun if someone else was paying... If you don't count the locker I'm only paying $8 a day or less... Which is why I never go anywhere.
  7. YIKES,!!
  8. I think the only person still regularly on here in the fifty to sixty year old age bracket is me... And I'm the token liberal... I add diversity.
  9. In case you're missing my pics, I'm sitting in a hospital, missing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yK3wjd3lXHQ I'm fine, it's my mom.
  10. Today. I won't be able to post pics for a while. Family problems mean I have to fly to Denver tomorrow.
  11. That's fine if you're made of money. http://www.trulia.com/real_estate/Jackson-Wyoming/ http://www.trulia.com/real_estate/Whitefish-Montana/
  12. Wasn't feeling so great yesterday, so just getting around to posting this. Might go again tomorrow, depends on health. Typical crowd level at main lift.
  13. No, go back a page. But, we have had a lot of fog this winter, it's been warm and I think that's what is causing it. And,of course, there's TON of pictures here: http://www.wmr-guide.com
  14. Groomer day, but good cruising:
  15. Unfortunately, it's as bad as Christmas. We are always popular with the Canadians anyway and President's Day lines up with their Family Day... or maybe it's Family Week. I bitch for a week. It's probably nothing like hitting Killington that week, but there are lines. Same issue with all the states bordering Western Canada.
  16. Here's today's pic, but if you want to see what it was really like, click on over to Epic.
  17. The mobile version drives me nuts...
  18. Some old pics just to make Doug happy. https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/773588_10151344648662488_431505380_o.jpg https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/736101_10151312908912488_242985505_o.jpg
  19. I wouldn't know. It just drives me nuts with the trenches, you have to keep an eye out that you don't line up your skis into one of them and always cross them sort of at right angles.
  20. I know I am always saying we don't have a lot of snowboarders. Well, we do have these guys...
  21. I seem to have fixed the permissions problem from the earlier post...just need someone to remove the earlier posting for me. The second one has an extra pic.
  22. Oddly, never saw anyone I knew all day except some uphill skiers. And yet it was fairly crowded for a Tuesday.
  23. New URL's. East Rim: East Rim Face: Caribou Trees -- tree well territory: Hellroaring Basin Panorama: End of day on School Road:
  24. Really??? I can see them. Just the last bunch or all of them? Oh, wait, I refreshed my screen and now I can't see them either. Hmmm.
  25. I've got one new pair of skis. The other two pairs are still on active service, but each have over 140 days on them. If I had a job they'd have been replaced a couple seasons back. And that is the biggest difference between skiers and boarders, the income issue. I don't think it has anything to do with the sport itself. I could see a real decline in interest as you age to having to sit down and strap in at the beginning of every run, although there is a grandma here that does it, many of us would have to have a friend to have us up.
