  1. Had another migraine yesterday, so bad my husband had to come fetch me, couldn't even talk to people after I came in from skiing to the locker room. Nevertheless, somehow remembered to take ONE picture.
  2. Eye candy for those who want "action" in the powder
  3. Had a migraine today, didn't stay long as the clowns were still here and two of them almost nailed me because conditions were tough. Deep snow with a skin of ice on top on some exposures. Anyway, down on Hibernation:
  4. Hadn't planned to go today due to holiday crowds (supposedly 7000 last two days, which is about the highest number we get), but it's just been snowing and snowing so I had to do some sampling. Skiing with Siblet on Gray's Golf Course: Good Medicine:
  5. I didn't start it, though. I'm just the one posting (and skiing?) the most.
  6. My friend in Elephant's Graveyard today. Too bad we were both skiing with headaches, I could have lapped this all day.
  7. Too late, they are HERE!!! Today was like a Saturday, so writing off the next three days. It will still be crowded on Tuesday because of all the Canadians, but not as bad as this weekend is going to be. I don't line up for Chair 1 if the corrals are full, I head to Chair 2 and ski and let all the "first tracks" nuts up there and then I head up. I'd rather be skiing than waiting. There's 3000 acres here, I can wait until the nuts get settled down.
  8. I don't want no stinking people on my trails. Actually, there is a small dot in the distance that is a skier. From what I hear, the hordes are going to be there this weekend. They are saying it will be worse than Christmas. And...wouldn't you know...it's supposed to snow Saturday and Sunday. Here I was planning on staying home for the three day weekend. Might have to skim the cream by getting a few runs in before 11 each day.
  9. Powder Trap after fog lifted.
  10. Gee, I like those kind of trees, you can see around them.
  11. That's two from East Rim Face, one from Whitey's looking down, and one on Whitey's looking at East Rim (the nose and the chutes).
  12. Pics from today. Sorry, couldn't decide which to post...
  13. You must have missed this thread.
  14. Deep fog, yes. Actually have lost about 6 inches of base in the last week.
  15. Looking up the Ant Hill today. Yeah, there is a hill right in front of you...with skiers on it. Great Fun?
  16. Another grey day.
  17. I am always prepared. Skigee attached to every pair of mittens I own. Fanny flap and SECOND PAIR of ski pants kept me dry. I don't let weather stop me. By the way, a PASR member may be coming for a visit....
  18. Riming day. Pain in the butt.
  19. Fine. Today was uninspiring, but here you go:
  20. Do you want pics from out of PA? Just wondering. Seems like if it's PA Ski and Ride, then Sugarbush wouldn't qualify. I always take a "pic of the day" personally, but not sure that is what is needed.
  21. Another gorgeous day. An inversion was going on, and the air was crisp, so we got the inversion, along with sun dogs and light pillars and diamond dust dancing in the air.
  22. I have to second the problem with the Mantras on late day conditions. I loved them right until then and decided that I really prefer a less "lively" ski that doesn't buck me around so much. I've been demoing three days this season and so far can't find anything that meets my requirements. I have also discovered that I don't like twin tips. So far haven't been able to demo several skis I'm interested in, no one carries them around here.
  23. Here's an action shot of Siblet, now gracing the home page for the mountain:
  24. "Action"...in Evan's Heaven:
  25. Actually, now that I look at the picture, I'm realizing that the trees have less snow on this face, that should have tipped me off that it was getting blasted by the wind relative to the trees on the opposite side, where they still have their snow. MUST REMEMBER THAT ONE......
