Day 20. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

Day 19. Very flat light, but at least no fog.

Day 18. I could see all day.

Day 15. Visually stunning. No color tweaks.

Day 14. Day started out clear, but of course the fog returned by noon. Got to ski with my daughter and son-in-law.

Day 13. Sublime snow, but not enough people stayed in bed. Fog was so bad when I got off first chair that none of the 6 attempted pictures came out. This hours later. l

There won't be any more pics for a while. Christmas week. Might go again 12/30 and regret it. Otherwise, 1/1.

Understatement of the year... Fortunately, my goggles are really helping with it. Changed from rose lenses to yellow and it was a huge improvement. Found another shot. Not sure where it was hiding before.

Day 12. Christmas. Crowds about like a Sunday. Fog pretty bad on and off. Mountain not entirely open, but close.

Day 11. Crowds, serious fog (literally lost track of the trail entirely at one point), plus google rime. I stopped before noon.

Day 9. Pretty warm. Had to wear my "getting dripped on" coat.

It's a steep lift ride. The first year it was open they had to evacuate people from it. I never ride it unless I've hit the ladies' room recently.

Day 8. Had some sun, so more people.

Day 7. Back to no liftlines. More snow on the way.

Day 6. The locals realized the resort was open and skipped church, so I moved over to slower lifts, including the T-bar to Whisky Spring, which I haven't done in a few years.

Day 5 (yesterday). Empty again. Can't imagine why🤣. This was before it got bad. It normally improves. Not sure why I'm handling it better this year. PXL_20241213_185017910~3.mp4

If only I were 70 again... I hit Super Senior status a few years ago. I have two pairs of skis, both pretty old. Nordica Hell 'n' Backs for powder and K2 iKonic 84xTi for groomers. A third pair is still in use for the first few days of a season, but those have 300 days on them and decidedly showing their age. But the iKonics have 2 layers of metal and require aggression and confidence to perform, so they don't come out until I'm feeling that way.
