  1. Well, before you fixed it, it said "uphauling".....
  2. The SL today. At least we know she didn't DNF before this pic....
  3. appalling?
  4. How about in the awards section?
  5. Adam, are any of these you? http://www.rossmillerphoto.com
  6. Well, so much for that trophy; Bode's Trophy
  7. Someone came to Montana?
  8. Well, have you emailed them (you want to do this before they close) and tell them the results still aren't posted? They may have uploaded them and had problems and not known it. That happened here once.
  9. VERY cool. I hope all those guys actually show up!
  10. I hope the ski family is an inspiration to her.
  11. We closed today. It was pouring rain, but I hadn't planned to ski anyway, since Siblet is on her way to Park City on her first solo plane trip. We hope to ski Fernie over Spring Break and maybe Blacktail.
  12. Congratulations one and all. I hope you scraped a lot of that powder off the course for Siblet!
  13. Do they ski today? I see there are more races today.
  14. Not sib, tho. Sib doesn't fall.
  15. Here's a sequence from one run. This is slalom.
  16. Sib does the bumps.... These were taken the first weekend in March, in between race viewing.
  17. Well, you can make lots of huge arcing turns in fresh stuff, but I admit that the sensation is totally different. And once it's all chopped up into crud, it requires concentration. But, I actually chose to do some mogul runs yesterday because they are so much fun when the moguls are as soft as down comforters.
  18. I don't have a problem with fog -- I use a fog cloth. But the goggles came with these darn slits in them. Today, since it's FINALLY snowing like crazy here, I got some tape from the lady in the cafeteria and sealed up the stupid slits. It did NOT produce a fog problem, but mysteriously I still got a miniscule amount of snow in my goggles. Still a big improvement.
  19. I wear contacts under goggles. I can't stand the whole concept of someone operating on my eyeballs, so can't imagine having Lasik done. I have over-the-lens goggles I got once when I was ordered to take a break from my contacts and I liked them so much that even after that pair got all scratched up I replaced them with another pair. They rarely fog up and if it gets really bright I can fit my sunglasses under them. They have rose lenses, so they are fine for most lighting situations except maybe nighttime. I've used them at night, but clear would really be better then. The only issue I have is the "anti-fog" mechanism is a slit on the sides of the lens. This tends to allow snow inside the goggles if it is snowing out. I've thought about ways to handle that, but never gotten around to doing anything about it.
  20. In MT, a student may: 5. Participate in sports during the summer or during a season when the player is not a member of a regular high school team, providing monetary compensation is not received for services. and B. A student who becomes a professional in an MHSA-sponsored sport is considered a professional in that sport only and is ineligible for further high school athletic competition in that sport only until such time as returned to amateur status in that sport. Presumably if the sport isn't an MHSA sport it's even less of an issue.
  21. Went and looked up the stats. It seems my information wasn't quite right. He was fourth for our division, but not for the race. He wasn't even in the top 25 for the overall race. Anyway, his points are not below 100 in anything last I checked. Not sure if sponsorship is an issue for HS here as skiing not a HS sport in this state.
  22. Miller king of the world Sorry for the gobbledygook in the subject line .. tendonitis and no way to edit that line
  23. Well, siblet's boy toy is sponsored by Rossignol and just reached the lower 100's. He got picked up because he finished in the top 10 at JO's last year.
