Fun session yesterday. Little powder runs down through the tubing line in the morning, then it warmed up and the snow was nice and soft in BB. The lip for the down rail turned out to be a fun sized jump for nice over the rail tricks. 420 box was fun in the morning but got bombed out in the landing by around noon.

I would actually like to see the down rail setup as an up or flat rail. And the flat rail at the top setup as a down rail with the kink at the end. And drag the wooden a frame out for tomorrow!

I've ridden plenty of parks not setup like that but with a variety of features in a line. As long as you can go from any feature in a set to any feature in the next set means the park has flow. I was going flat rail to down rail to the candy cane all day long yesterday with no problem.

Uhh, just because the features you want to hit aren't in a straight line doesn't mean the park has no flow. LOL.

It was open yesterday. Sasquatch was a ton of fun early in the morning with great snow on it and fun bump hit on the left side.

Very fun morning. Park rode well, snow was great, bunch of people but nicely spread our over the mountain. Good times.

The down rail was really fun last night. I like the lip, but if the rail was 6-12in higher it would have been perfect. Still a good time though. Hopefully they can get some more features in for the weekend before the temps warm up.

Apparently they had some equipment problems last night. From BC Ironworks: "Unfortunately equipment malfunctions resulted in a less than stellar build last night. We got about a third done of what we had planned." Still, down rail looks fun and Coverage is looking a lot better as well. Kind of surprised the guns aren't on though.

Looks like BB is getting groomed and rebuilt right now.

Give them time, I'd rather they pound the mountain with snow for a few days and then get a legit setup up instead of just throwing things up just to have them. With the weather I would expect them to have a decent park setup by this weekend, at least from a rail standpoint.

Did a quick session this morning. Good snow but a bit windy and cold. They put down a bunch of snow yesterday, I would say they could be very close to 100% open by the end of the week with a few long nights of blowing temps. Pretty good number of people there but the extra lift and trails spread everyone out nice so the lines were non existent while I was there.

Sun - Thurs the Grille closes at midnight. Fri and Sat it closes at 1am.

Just got back. 4 trails open. Snow was great with a bunch of powder stashes all over. Little jump / butter pad was fun. Interesting rail selection for opening day, nothing for beginners but a nice setup. Guns were going the entire time on almost the whole mountain. Rode for 8:30 till 11 when the lift lines got pretty long. Prior to 10:30 the line was 5-7mins long. They were running over 10mins after that. Lots of people sporting the $10 passes. Bar tender in the grille said the hotel, grille, and cafe have been packed since Friday so that is good BC. Looks like they should be able to get more trails open tomorrow.

The one day it had nothing to do with cheap tickets, it was a holiday weekend. BC stopped selling tickets and were turning people away at the entrance. They called the cops because the traffic on the road was crazy with people trying to turn around and people yelling at the lot guys for turning them away...my friend was one of those people.

I was there twice when they had to turn people away. First time BC called the police not the other way around. But damn BC for doing a good job and attracting so many people!

I can't wait for tomorrow so we can go from complaining about management to complaining about the conditions and park setup! What exactly would you like them to do? The upgraded 22 guns this season and bought 6 more just to try and get open. I guess that money could have been better spent on a weather controlling machine.

They can't be doing all that bad, try booking a hotel room for tonight through tuesday, booked solid. But yeah nice to see you hoping that a mountain that supports the sports that we all love, as well the local economy, does poorly this year. Good job showing your true colors.

Good news is the guns are still going so they should be able to go non stop all night and most of the day tomorrow. I can't ride tomorrow anyway but fingers crossed for Sunday.
