  1. There really isn't all that much snow up there. I was at Killington and Stratton the last two weekends. While trail coverage is good the tree skiing is minimal (tracked out) or non existant. That said, crowds are also really light so just blasting around on nice long empty runs is a pretty good time.
  2. True. I'm heading up there this weekend. Been years since I have been there but I have always had fun there. Usually light crowds and great snow...can't really go wrong with that combo.
  3. Fun morning session today. Soft fast snow. First jump in BB is nice, loving how wide it is. Second jumps are super poppy. Bottom rail section was a bit sticky but set up nice. Cascade setup is sweet. Down cannon a long wood rail the best.
  4. I demo'd a Burton Freebird last year in Whistler. Being the only one I've ever used I don't really have anything to compare it to but I enjoyed it. If I lived somewhere that got enough snow to really use it I would definitely get one. Touring around was a ton of fun and a great work out. The one I rode was either a 157 or 158 and I'm pretty sure it used Voile hardware.
  5. Nice, if the rain holds off I'm heading up this afternoon.
  6. I'm there all the time between open and close and see park crew all the time. Not sure what you are talking about.
  7. I ride BC 3 or 4 times a week and park crew is usually out fixing or doing stuff when they can. Cascade didn't have enough snow on it to do a decent build before they did all the blowing. Plus why would you do a build only to hammer the trails with snow and have to dig everything out and rebuild? It might be a bit warm today to be doing a build but other than tomorrow most nights the next 5 - 10 days are decently cold so we shouldn't lose to much snow...hopefully.
  8. They were blowing all weekend, can't build and blow at the same time. And I disagree, the park has been pretty damn good for how shitty the weather has been. But maybe that is just me, I grew up riding before there were parks and learned how to make the most out of any feature no matter what it was like. People seem to be so stuck on lips and landings being perfect, jumps have a certain kind of pop, and rails being setup just right or whatever. Just get creative, have fun and ride whatever is there.
  9. Hard to tell from the cam but that might just be dirt from the sides of the trails. Cascade seemed to have plenty of snow on it this past weekend.
  10. FB page says new build on Cascade. Definitely looking forward to it this week.
  11. New setup is pretty slick and the big air contest was awesome. Some pretty sick tricks got thrown down. They were hammering the mountain with snow guns yesterday so conditions are pretty sweet.
  12. Definitley want to get up to Sno before the season is over. Rode there a ton when I was in college but haven't been back in years.
  13. Same thing happened Sunday on the first jump. Little kid got hurt and him and his dad were in the landing. Jump was blocked off but idiots just keep launching the roller till ski patrol blocked off the entire thing.
  14. Oh well, plenty of other places to drink your ass off.
  15. Another fun day yesterday. Soft fast snow, great jumps, and warm sunny weather. Only issue was Black Bear got really crowded at times due to the lack of features on Cascade. Some little kid got hurt on the first jump in the morning and then I saw at least three other pile ups due to people just bombing at jumps when they weren't clear. Nice to see they were able to blow some snow on the web cam this morning. They definitely can use it.
  16. Today was a ton of fun with soft hero snow and fun jump line down black bear. That said, I hope it gets cold soon because snow is disappearing fast.
  17. Meh, mini jumps are fun. Hip needs some transition...but its hard to complain when its 60 degrees out.
  18. If you ain't falling, you ain't trying.
  19. I liked Blackcomb a bit better than Whistler. Terrain was a bit more fun IMO, not saying Whistler is bad though. Check out Longhorn in the village it usually has a bunch of smoking hot Australian girls working there. The Peak to Peak is fun to do if its clear because it gives a really crazy view of the mountain.
  20. I was pretty much lapping cascade from open till 12:30 and didn't really notice any sticky snow. I was running a fresh tune and wax though.
  21. Conditions where awesome this morning. Nice park setup, crowds were light and park was pretty empty due to the rail contest.
  22. They still cost more than a similar spec'd PC ($200 or so more seems to be about the number these days) and working on it yourself will void your warranty. But whatever, both PC and Macs are great, just use what you like. Personally I run a loaded to the tits MBP (thanks work!) and dual boot OSX and Win7. Recently spending more time in Win7 because I'm not a fan a big fan of Lion but still need to use it for work every now and again.
  23. Awesome, more rain!
