Awesome vid. Conditions look insane!

Yeah one of the guys going with us did it last year and said it was the best time he has ever had riding. They didn't get any snow for a solid week before he went out and were still getting untracked runs all day.

Stoke has finally been turned up to 11. In 2 weeks me and 4 buddies leave for a 10 day long trip to Whistler / Blackcomb for some serious riding. Conditions up there have been epic the last 2 weeks with record snowfalls. So I hope that continues while we are there. We scored a ridiculously nice (5 bedroom) ski in / ski out condo that is only a few minute drive / shuttle ride from the village which is perfect for shredding and night life. However, the best part will be the 3 days spent at Powder Mountain Catskiing. Day 1 (3rd day of our trip) we are meeting up with another group of friends out there and will be taking out a private cat for a day of unlimited powder runs through open bowls and steep glades. 4300 acres with a maximum of 24 people riding...should be awesome. Day 2 and 3 will hopefully only improve on that when we head up in the helis for what will hopefully be the best 2 days of riding of our lives. 387 square miles of untracked heaven. I have

Despite the wind, yesterday was awesome. Parks were in great shape and the snow was soft but quick.
-
After today it should be cold enough next week for a couple days of blowing and maybe even a bit of natural snow.

Pretty icy today...especially the last rails and jump in BB. Jump line in BB is gonna be a lot of fun after it gets groomed again. Both hits in tubing are real nice but the landing was a bit blown out on the smaller one. Top cascade jump was nice and poppy and the cannon rail was awesome. New candy cane setup is nice and the box-table-box setup is fun to play around on but was a bit sticky until the sun went down. Overall this new setup has potential to be a lot of fun with some pretty sweet options especially with the upcoming warm weather.

Looks like a new setup on the web cam. Couple more jumps in black bear.

There have only been 2 or 3 days where speed was an issue for the big hit in tubing all season. Usually you could hit both jumps assuming you land the first one clean. I haven't been through that line the last 2-3 times I've been up there since I delam'd my bigger board and my replacement isn't here yet and a 151 V rocker is not fun on jumps that size. EDIT: Just checked the web cam and they did add a smaller hit...can't tell if they redid the bigger one or not. Not sure if it was there yesterday or not since I spent most of the day teaching someone how to snowboard on the other side of the hill and only did 2-3 park laps.

BC was fun yesterday. Snow was nice which was surprising because of the warmer weather. Speed wasn't really an issue for any hits. Couple of the boxes were sticky but there were plenty that weren't. I would like the see something new at the end of cascade. The DFD and down rail are getting kind of boring there. Maybe put a jump back there like early season. Or a big ass hip or QP / spine. I also think it would be cool to add a smaller hit next to the big tubing jump. That landing prime for a 25-30 footer. It sucks having to skip the last hit if you wash out or fall on the first jump.

Free drinks and food and tons of room on long flights is well worth it.

I don't know it was pretty fun yesterday. Had to go fast at it but other then that it was pretty smooth. Snow was super slow in the afternoon but got hard and fast when the sun went down. Jump line through BB was nice, but the larger face on the second jump needs some love. It had two big rough spots right before the lip. It was possible to split right between them but that started to get rutted by the end of the day. FDF was really smooth and so was the FD. Last jump was crazy fun, short but really smooth with a lot of pop.
-
Look like the cannon rail is setup nice on cascade after the second jump and before the long flat rail.
-
Yep, it gets pretty beat up on the weekends but is real fun during the week. Hell it is even fun to just bomb at it and BS 180 over the rail. The flat down is fun setup the way it is...kind of different but still fun. I agree I think a FDF would be fun.

Great day yesterday. Hard fast snow in the morning that turned into hero snow as the day went on. Tubing jumps were prime in the morning but speed was an issue later in the day. Both cascade jumps had some weird kick to them that made them pretty sketchy. Rail line through black bear to the bottom jump was a lot of fun till the crowds showed up around noon then it was pretty crazy with people everywhere.
-
Park was super fun yesterday. Rails were a bit sticky in the afternoon but by around 5 or so they were fine. Jump line through BB was sweet. The jump to butter to jump in cascade was really smooth as well.
-
Sweet, looks like they have a solid amount of snow up there. I'll probably be making the drive up after work today and riding there all weekend.
-
Awesome. Probably heading up to Killington this weekend and this post just upped the stoke.
-
Got a good 14in or so here in west chester. Time to go shred the backyard.
-
Still dumping in West Chester. At least 6in so far.
-
Yeah. The lip/transition is perfect but bigger would be awesome.
-
3in so far in West Chester
-
The second jump in BB is pretty sweet now. Super wide and smooth transition that pops just right for the landing. Much better than this weekend.
-
Awesome conditions today despite the cold. New setup is sweet. Bigger hit on the 2nd jump in black bear is perfect, smaller one is super easy to over shoot...a longer landing would be nice. Last jump in is also really nice...lots of air time for a small jump. Cannon rail was cool and big tubing jump was really smooth. The gap-butter pad-down rail is going to be sweet, it just needed to be smoothed out a bit.
-
Setup is pretty solid right now. They FINALLY moved the light so the landing on the first jump in black bear is lit which is nice. It got pretty icy last night so hopefully the fresh snow will help and they can blow some more for the weekend.

Where is the cannon setup? Can't figure it out on the web cam. The rest of the new setup looks pretty good, probably head up this afternoon to check it out.
