I'd def. go with the Agent. I'm not a huge K2 fan to begin with because I've seen a lot issues with their boards, like delam and edge pulls, and their customer service is horrible to deal with.
-
I'd go to BC just because of the bar.
-
How'd the weather hold up up there yesterday? We got a bunch of rain and ice about 40 mins south of BC.
-
I bother posting to point out how whiney you guys sound asking for stuff like discounts on lockers and crap.
-
If people are already bitching about lockers that cost .50c image how many posts we have on here if the pass holder lot was full on a day they wanted to go. The bottom line is that with a season pass you are already getting a HUGE discount on the cost of using the mountain...that should be more then enough.

Yep, day trippers are where all the money is.

Its been said a bunch of times that it is just a jam not a comp.
-
I thought they said it was fun jam not a comp in one of the other threads.

That a frame is wider than I thought. Looks sick.

Never wore crash pads. I did however start wearing a shin pad on my left shin after busting it open on a rail two years ago.

32s are great. Not a fan of their BOA system though. Vans also makes great boots.

A shovel and pickup truck. They cut the ice many times a day and dump the zamboni usually every 3-4 cuts. Once the weather starts cooling off the piles start to stay around longer. Although a bunch of rinks dump their ice inside so they can filter and reuse some of the water.

If you are a season pass holder you go to CS and have them look up that you are a vaild pass holder and get a replacement pass.

Take your own advice about the reading thing. He is saying he has an offpeak and wants to buy a pass on a weekend morning...not upgrade to an unlimited pass. I know why he wants a discount....duh! But what is BCs incentive to give out discounts to off peak pass holders? The entire point of the off peak pass is you aren't paying for part of the season. Why should an off peak pass holder get a discount on something they haven't paid for? They are already getting a discounted rate on the part of the season they did pay for. Think about it for a minute or two.

Perhaps you should work on your comprehension skills a little bit.

No. Why would there be?

Just go early or late and the crowds aren't bad at all.

Water isn't cold enough yet. Plus do they have the staff hired yet to man the park?

Flat down flat is the way to go. We already have a down flat down.

The ICS system allows for a more consistant flex from tip to tail that a conventional mounting system. The conventional system will always have dead flex areas because of the mounting hardware. The ICS eliminates those dead areas and allows for true tip to tail flex. One other area that the channel system will help in is maintaining a true base on your board. I can't even count the number of boards I have seen where the base has been damaged by people over tightening their bindings. Makes tuning the boards properly a pain in the ass. This is a minor thing, but back when I used to work in a tune shop it bugged the crap outta me. Yep, I wasn't to big on the ICS system when it first came out. I thought it would be just like the old Forum system. But after riding a few Burton boards with the ICS/EST system I was amazed at how well they rode. Is everyone going to feel that way...no chance, but there are some many options out there that everyone can ride what they like.
-
No worries, I like these types of conversations and am always open to others input on all products. I can agree with your weakness idea of the ICS ystem in theory. Look at the Forum slider system as a perfect example to illustrate your point. Those boards had horrible feel and chatter because of the weaknesses and odd flex patterns caused by the channel system. However, I haven't experienced that with the Burton system. I rode a Custom last year with ICS and it felt the same as the regular Custom 3D. Most of the weight savings is from removing all the mounting hardware of the traditional system. Only time will tell how the system stands up to use and abuse though.
-
Not going to argue the engineering stuff since I don't know all that. But you are wrong about a few things. ICS boards do not weigh more and you are not locked into Burton as the only bindings you can ride. However, to take full advantage of the ICS system an EST binding is recommened. Same could be said about any innovation. Cap straps, rocker, etc... someone has to do it first. Also the ICS system allows for a better tip to tail flex, you don't get the dead flex spots from the traditional mounting system. You saying that this systems only benefit is stance options leads me to think you haven't ridden a ICS/EST setup. The difference in board feel between a standard binding and the EST binding is huge. Is everyone going to like it? Probaby not, but it is IMO one of the huge advantages of the system.

As long as there is more room on the side of the big stair set I don't care what they do with the pipe area. I'm tired of not being able to hit it because of groups of people hanging out all around it.

Actually last year alone I rode over 60 different board/binding combinations from ever company out there. It
