  1. I was up in the morning and it was one of the best days at BC in recent years. Great snow, lots of off trail riding, and no crowds. The drive up was sketchy as hell though lol. Hoping this next little storm fills everything in for tomorrow morning.
  2. There really aren't any more big contests this year so it makes sense.
  3. Jump line would work as well. I'd like to see a Flat-Down or Up-Flat setup made out of the flow boxes again. There was one a few years ago that was a ton of fun.
  4. Yep, I love it when it is really cold. Keeps crowds away. iI you dress properly it doesn't matter what the temp is.
  5. Would like to see a smaller hit next to the big one in BB. Because of the setup with it just being one big jump the majority of people have just been going down Cascade making it a shit show when it gets crowded with people that shouldn't be riding in the park. With the flat light yesterday morning that big jump was sketchy to hit which sucked because it was hitting well. A smaller hit with that nice big landing would have been prime yesterday.
  6. Setup is really fun right now. Hip in Cascade could use a bit more transition on the landing but the face hits really well. It would be nice if the lips on the jumps and possibly the knuckles got so paint / dye on them. With the flat light yesterday it was pretty difficult to spot landings.
  7. I've lost track of how many snowboards I've had lol. Currently have 4 that all get used fairly regularly. Snowboarding isn't going anywhere.
  8. Lot of fun up there yesterday morning. Great snow and light crowds until about 11. Fun park setup. It got really crowded by 1 when left, the upper lots were filling up.
  9. Yeah there is some serious video game level type stuff in that video.
  10. A few years ago BC used to offer some epicly good cheese fries in the Grille. It was like $4.5 for a bucket of curly fries topped with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, sour cream, and green onions. It was enough food to render a normal person immobile for at least 3 hours. Combined with a happy hour pitcher of beer it was a perfect ending to a day of riding for under $10. Sadly those are no longer offered and have been replaced with what they call American Poutine. Which is fries, with gravy and cheddar cheese. While delicious...they don't quite stack up to the now defunct bucket of cheesy goodness. *pours out some melted cheese* It is also just Doug beating a joke into the ground until any trace of humor has been completely and utterly destroyed.
  11. U mad bro???
  12. Ok, Doug.
  13. You should always use the right Doug for the job. And a fire tint at night isn't the right Doug. Edit: Strange, my phone auto-corrected the word "tool" to Doug.
  14. Wet Snow (WS) or Wet Powder (WP) are commonly used terms on conditions reports. Typically they refer to unpacked powder snow that has became moist / heavy from a thaw or rain.
  15. Fire tint at night...even better. Way to go Corey Hart.
  16. The snow didn't really crust up...just rode like wet pow.
  17. Fire lens on an overcast, snowy day...seeing is overrated.
  18. I posted a few pics but for the most part it looked like this:
  19. I think the turn over to ice and rain at the end of the storm probably kept a lot of people away. Oh well made yesterday morning even more fun for me. Great snow all over the mountain again with powder stashes and soft cord everywhere.
  20. Yeah it will probably suck. Last time we booked the same trip they got over 8 feet of snow while were there. It was horrible.
  21. I just locked up 7 days in Whistler with airfare, 3 bedroom ski-in / ski-out condo, full sized SUV, 5 days lift tickets and a day of snowcat backcountry riding for 4 guys for just over $1800 each so $2k seems a bit steep.
  22. Got up to BC this morning right about 8:45 and was on the snow at just after 9. Speaking of snow...for man made it doesn't get much better. The BC snowmaking team should start offering classes or perhaps contract out time to other local mountains. It was that good. Perfect cord in the morning that turned into nice edge-able snow without chucking up or turning into Blue like cookies. Park setup was the same as before but they started working on the jump line...looked like it should be open tomorrow along with the rest of the mountain. Fun hits of the side of cascade, cut over to BB for some rails, snow whale hit at the cascade / BB intersection, followed by some pow turns and small "cliff" drop into the end of the jump line was the line of the day. Looking like all but 1 trail is going to be open for this weekend...pretty nice for mid Dec. Ended up riding from 9 to about 4:30 with a quick break around noon for some food and adult beverages. Overall a great day and this weekend should only be better with cold temps and hopefully some help from mother nature.
  23. Yeah last night was definitely fun. Firm fast snow that didn't turn into death cookies. Pretty surprised at the amount of snow they were able to kick out in a few days...should definitely be able to expand the open terrain by the weekend. A new park setup for the weekend would be pretty sweet as well.
  24. Looks like they cranked out a ton of snow on top of the natural they got. Should be fun this afternoon.
  25. The back bowls should be all time today.
