Nice Barb! I'm soooo jealous. BTW, I'm right there with you on the powder + extra long runs = jelly legs. The hot tubs at Okemo were my saving grace. That and I typically prep for the season by doing millions of weighted squats.

Drinking + skiing = bad times. Haha. I typically don't crash but I was pretty toasted by then and forgot the golden rule of mush... keep your skis pointed down. Oh well... I laughed. Wait... why didn't you say hi??!!?? You had to know it was me.

Agggghhh... I can't post the pics cause my membership hasn't been updated. I was going to do a full TR but everyone else pretty much covered it. Conditions were better earlier and got mushy and hard to ski as the day went on. There was thick fog early on that eventually burned off but while it was there it made skiing the top of the mountain... interesting. It was really fun skiing with all of the PASRs especially looking as fine as we all did. Thanks to Doug for the compliment about my skiing BTW. I really feel like I've improved this season and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. I guess I should add that I was super drunk by the time I got home. I'm really glad we only have drinking days once a season. We took a nap when we got home and when we got up I was still feeling it. Woo hoo! Thank God I don't get hangovers. I'm sad that my season is pretty much over... I can't come Saturday cause we have a party unless we leave at like 11. Bob says maybe. I guess if we don't show I'll see you all next season.

I meant that he'd get tired and ski slower but I guess only true gapers like me ski that way. We park (or I should say Doug parks) a few rows before the main door. Drugs are bad.... mmmmmmkay. It looks good on my black car.

I just got off the phone with Blue Mt. and they said that as long as you are dressed up when purchasing your ticket it will be $10.00 at either lodge. Our plan is to just go to the Valley Lodge and see what happens. Oh... to answer you question though Melissa, yes you can drive from the top down to the bottom if they won't do the $10.00 deal at the bottom. It that's the case then I suggest you do drive down because we definitely do some parking lot pimping. If you want to park with us... I have a black Mitsubishi Lancer with a Thule ski rack and a DARE tag. We'll probably park next to Doug tomorrow instead of our normal spot though so we can drink and stuff. Good... if you're weighed down I'll be able to keep up with you.

I have a bunch of jackets and stuff too which I will have with me so if you aren't loving your outfit you can always shop at SK Boutique.

I just finished putting my outfit together just now and wow is it... tight and soooo gaper. One thing I was wondering though... were arms shorter back in the 70's & 80's? Every damn jacket and suit I tried had crazy short arms. Oh well the lamer it looks the better right? At least what I got comes to my wrists... sort of. I am definitely wearing a one piece and I think... wait for it... so is BOB. I can't wait.

I think it should be... Early bird meeting: 7:15 at the lower lot Lazy ass meeting: 9 AM at the top of the six BTW I'll have everclear shots to share and champagne for me but I won't be drinking on the mountain if I can help it. I might also have Jager bombs... I haven't decided.

I love cord and would take it over powder any day. When we were at Okemo I was honestly happier the day after the powder dump and I wasn't alone. A bunch of people stayed in on the powder day and Okemo's snow report acknowledged this the one day by saying that "everyone who avoided the powder" yesterday is in for some perfectly GROOMED packed powder today.

I have 3 outfits so far so I might need to do a costume change or two. Everyone look out for a possible wardrobe malfunction. I'm bringing my extra stuff. Haha. Exton has the Sophia room temp and cold. BTW, if you want to know the proper way to store alcohol while skiing PM Doug. I won't totally blow up his spot but his method was pretty entertaining. I'm planning on doing my drinking in the parking lot. We tend to take a lot of breaks on Gaper Day and I need to be able to make it down the mountain so I think this is best for me. We'll be down at the lower lot so the car and therefore cooler will be right there. I'm saying screw the Summit Lodge and their $10.00 tickets!

I'm hoping the chick on the phone didn't know what she was talking about. She wasn't even aware there was going to be a "retro day". She had to put us on hold and ask someone. I wish the info was on the website.

Hey Doug... if BC is open longer than Blue you should come down and ski it.

FYI I called Blue for details this evening and they said "you have to go to the Summit Lodge to get the $10.00 and registration doesn't start till 10 AM so that's when the discount tix are available.". They also said the $10.00 tickets will only be good for the afternoon session. I think the girl who answered the phone doesn't know what she's talking about though so I am going to call again tomorrow to confirm. I guess worst comes to worst I'll just use our Spring Flings.

March 10th for the spring flings. The lady today gave me like 10 of them which makes me wonder if they aren't going to be open too many more weeks. Thanks for the nighttime TR Funk. I've never actually skied Blue at night.

The ticket window lady said today that they were shooting for the 30th as long as the weather cooperated and there was demand as she was giving me like 10 spring fling coupons. If today's crowds are any indication of demand then I think they'll close sooner than later.
