It seems like when Blue is icy BC is just perfect. I like to ski cord and hard pack so to me you had a perfect day. OH, BC... I miss you.
-
I hate that. It's not like they aren't going to end up at the same place. Unfortunately you can't keep stupid people off the mountain. At least once per visit Bob and I end up on the 6 pack alone. We don't mind but it seems like a waste.

Bob and I skied 7:30 to 11:30 and had a great day. The lift lines were never really bad and the trails weren't really that crowded. The unload area at the top of the six pack was atrocious but in the liftie's defense it was very windy up there. We did Lazy to Falls the most with runs on Switchback, Paradise, Main Street, Chute, Raceway, Easy Out... pretty much every trail but Razors and Challenge. Overall conditions were surprisingly good. It was a tad icy at the top of most of the trails but not so much so that it made skiing impossible. Oddly enough Main street was powdery and a bit chalky at the top (they must have blown) and icy in the middle. Go figure. Anyway, my favorite run of the day was Raceway to Chute to Main Street. Nice and fast, not too icy and for the most part uncrowded. Midway thru our day some guy called me Alfonso from the lift. I think he asked me to meet him at the butter box but we all know that people who yell from the lift are weirdos so I passed. Hahaha. Of course the gang saw me polling and struggling and not flying expertly down Challenge but I guess that's the way it goes. Towards the end of our day Bob wanted to ski the ice slick know as Challenge and was on his way to do it alone when we bumped into Jeff, Doug and Zonked. YAY! I finally met Zonked. She is so pretty but seemed a little bummed out and jetted soon after. (Attention Zonked: Most of my ski days are bad. Take comfort in the fact that your worst day is most definitely better than my best day.) Anyway, since it was too icy for me to ski Challenge comfortably the gang hit it for two runs while I hung out on one of the base lodge on the benches. FYI, a twin tipper is very easy to spot by the massive plume of snow flying out behind them . I could honestly see Bob from the top of Challenge all the way down to the bottom of Falls. Thank God I didn't go... they were flying. I couldn't have even fallen down that fast. After skiing we hit BMDI with the boyz and had a good time. This just cements the fact that PASR should have play dates outside of ski season. The people on here are genuinely fun to hang out with. See you all next weekend. Same time, same place.

I couldn't agree more. I hate needing to pole like my life depends on it in the lift line in order to keep off of the guy in front of me.
-
Or you could give us your home or cell phone # and we'll start calling you at 4:30.
-
Me, me, me too. Bob and I will be there from 7:20 till lunch or so. BTW, I'd love free or discounted tickets too.

Ewwwww! Fe breeze works and so does tea tree oil. Lush makes a product called T is for Toes that would also probably work. Damn you guys are gross.

I wasn't going to post but I decided to throw my $.02 in. Take it or leave it... BCMark is great and his management teams seems like they are on the same page but BC's "men on the ground" leave much to be desired. I know that the poor weather lost BC a lot of their "good" employees, I know good seasonal help is hard to find, I know, I know, I know. BUT that doesn't really matter to the customer who comes to BC to spend their day (and their money) and is turned away. Attention BCMark: the face of your company is spitting on your customers. I am a forgiving person... I would like to come back to BC (I love BC a lot... I learned to ski there and always have a great time when we go) but stuff like this does not help my cause with Bob. My husband and I suspect many other BC customers do not tolerate despicable customer service. This problem must be fixed to keep your good reputation... and your customers. OK... the end. -
So glad that I did my trip when I did. Love to ski in snow don't really love to drive in it.

Bob was wondering the same thing. He was out there scraping and shoveling on and off all afternoon. I know it's bad when he comes in muttering and cursing. It was actually so slick out here this morning and early afternoon that I stayed home today... which I never do. Ugh... tomorrow should be fun.

Bare Creek sucks...period. Tubing sales at 6:30 bulls**t.

I don't think we are going to go tubing at all now. Blue is good for skiing but their tubing doesn't look half as fun as BC's. BTW... resteraunts... lots and lots but I'm right there with him. There is no reason to have to deal with bad or mediocre service when there are plenty of places to eat, ski, tube, etc. We usually give a second and third chance... anyone can have a bad day... but after that forget about it. No wonder our dinner bills are so expensive. Ugh. -

Which is why this whole thing was such a bummer. Thanks man. BTW, the issue is "dealt with". Mark's posts were exactly what we were looking for... an honest explanation and a pledge to fix the problem. We probably won't be back to BC anytime soon if ever (cheer if you want) but there are no hard feelings. It's just our choice. OK... Bob's choice... but I'm OK with that. -

Grrrrrrr. Hahaha. Now I know why the neighbor and his friends call me Stacy's Mom. I am only 27! Sorry to stray from the topic BTW but a woman has to speak when her age is in question. -
Bear Creek maybe? I think it's between Killington and Okemo.

Wah wah what? I was in Killington last week and definitely not skiing this weekend. Are you Fing with me? -

Uh.... unfortunately he would. Thank you Mark. I too was very disappointed at how the situation unfolded and was handled... OK... I handled it a little more calmly than Bob but I wasn't the one praising BC's tubing and pushing for the group trip there. It's really a damn shame that we couldn't have been told the deal at the mountain. We are reasonable and not total assholes. Had the manager come out and explained the situation we would have been unhappy but not furious. At least you are fixing the problems which is more than I can say for the other mountain we don't go to anymore. If you are open to suggestions I would suggest that you try to make the tubing situation more clear on the BC website and maybe (you may already be handling this one) have your phone CSR's tell people the deal when calling to inquire about tubing. I think this will definitely help to avoid nights like the one we had. I honestly was really looking forward to coming and am hoping to still come (someday) but I may have to beg Bob. He does not tolerate poor customer service... period. He feels that we should give our money and support to businesses that treat their customers professionally and with honesty and courtesy. It's a tough philosophy but is mostly justified and one (with great sorrow in this case) that I almost have to agree with. Ugh. Believe me if there had been matches or a lighter that might have been a possibility. BTW, we are super rich. OK... maybe not. We just don't have kids. You parents know what I mean. I agree. I just wish there was a restaurant MB... a grocery store MB... a... well, you get my point. -

Needless to say we did not have a good experience. Unfortunately I think that this episode has ended any chance of future visits to BC for skiing or tubing. Too bad... such a waste. -
You are welcome to come. Besides, there are no wheels when we go out. We flirt equally. We'll be there at 6:30 for the 7-10 session.
-
Goggles huh? I never thought of that. As for having a good time.. we are going with a group (sister and her husband) and we 4 have a good time at Wal Mart... so I'm not worried.
-
It always snows on my birthday so expect some on the 22nd. Although maybe not this year since we have no club/ bar plans. We'll see.
-
I am soooo excited cause we are doing the 7-10 tubing tonight at BC and I've never been. Do you guys think I should wear my ski pants or do you think jeans with Under Armour would be OK? I can't wait. Say hi if you see us.
-
Nope. I was so busy with the other stuff I didn't really get to them. Anyway, people in the K1 lodge were saying that the coverage wasn't that good. Have fun. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Sunrise side. It's mostly closed.
-
Well, we're home and already missing VT. Of course today was beautiful and sunny but it looked very CROWDED. We went up to the Snowshed lodge this morning around 9 to get my Mom a tee shirt and there were tons more people there than on any of our ski days. Weekday skiing rocks! Like I've said before we really we had a blast and as an added benefit I now have thighs of steel. I see that you guys keep recommending Okemo and we agree. Okemo will be our next East coast trip because Bob likes it there a lot. I don't love the whole kids thing but for a few days we can deal. I don't really need the easier trails to have a great time though. I like skiing a hard ass trail with difficult conditions. I don't mind a fall or two and feel that for me the only way to get better at skiing more difficult terrain is to just ski it. FYI, I won't be at Blue till next weekend for the PASR day cause our lives are really busy this weekend. I'm only a little sad though cause I need to rest my bruised behind. Chute vs. my left ass cheek.... Chute- 1, cheek-0. Oh... here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure...
