I don't love powder dumps either. Give me a nice groomed trail and watch me go. Hero snow is my fav, hands down. I love ice. Seriously, don't you think they'll be blowing then? I agree about the organization but not about the number of days. It would help if there was a designated meeting time and place. It's hard to know who's who too. Maybe nametags...kidding. I liked the number of days becuase it gave people who didn't want to or couldn't travel the chance to participate.

No thanks to Blue. Sorry Blue, but I still haven't received my info yet. WTF?
-
Not when you are padded like I am. Kidding. Luckily for us we did most of our night sessions at BC late in the season when it needed to be night to keep the slush together. I like ice BTW. When I conquer it I feel all proud and indestructible...like I can ski anything...which is far from the truth. OK, I live in a fantasy world, whatever.

You can expect to see me falling in the park, hurting myself and flipping off the picnic table. Sorry but I blow in the park (not literally, although at least I look like I know what I'm doing at that). I actually like jumps but I like them less steep so I can get more distance and less height. I really do want to be able to play in the park a little bit next season though, so I have been practicing my flips and handsprings on the ground. So far this summer I haven't had the chance to practice with my skis on the tramp but I will. I like the park at BC when there is no one there, like early morning and late night.

I am honestly thinking about getting the K2 T9 Misdemenors, which are the twin tips for girls. Someone needs to roost Bob, so...
-
Woo hoo Blue, way to spread out your new attractions to keep people coming back.
-
I hopefully will have them right away. After last season ended I started a rigorous strength training program to get and keep my legs in shape for this coming season. Lots of weighted lunges and squats and stuff. No more quad burn for me I hope. It has also really helped my arthritis and made my legs look hot in shorts so I am pretty happy.
-
I'm kicking myself cause we forgot to pay before the early bird ended but Bob said not to worry cause we are going to do more mountains this season and won't be hitting Blue enough to make season passes worth while. We also have a few "up north" trips planned too. We'll see. BTW, I will NOT be on the first chair, sorry, but Bob is a fair weather skier.

Bumps on Chute?!? There was barely had enough snow to cover the trail let alone enough to push into a bump or two. On second thought, a ton of newbies accidentally go that way and fall, so bumps there would really make for interesting people watching. Hmmmm.
-
Nope, it's Bob's choice and I know there is no way in hell, so.... Oh, he is so that guy, but that's why we love him, or love to hate him. You decide. P.S. I love ya.

It was kind of nice too becuase it gave us the chance to learn without rush or worry that we were falling in the way of someone who actually knew what they were doing. We only went to CB once (never going again, but that's another story) on a Friday and I swear we only saw 2 or 3 people on that trail besides us the whole day. I also liked the little lift that serviced that area. It made 700 runs down the same trail bearable.

Bob and I liked the little park in the middle of the mountain (Rhododendron Glen I think) cause it was a nice quite place to practice and not be in the way. What...there aren't supposed to be giant crevices and ice chunks in the pipe?
-
Well, it's been like 11 years, but I'll see if the place is still in business...so you can report them to the proper authorities.

I used to have an awesome fake ID back in the day. It cost me $200.00 and was worth every penny. The strip worked when swiped and the holographing was perfect. Ah, those were the days.

Snowboarding in June in Wisconsin town 1 hour, 1 minute ago Here's the catch: The snow is leftover from March. The operators of Badlands Sno-Park outside Hudson saved about 10 acres of snow that fell in March in a ravine east of Hudson and covered it with tarps. It will be hauled out in about seven semi-truck loads and spread out Friday for two or three days of snowboarding at the St. Croix County park, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "It's going to be fun. This is the first time we've tried it," said Maggie Hall, who owns and operates the park with her brother, Pat Kinney. "We are going to start summer out on a snow bank ? in swimsuits." The park is on the siblings' 120-year-old family farm. About 35 years ago, their parents turned part of the farm into a sledding hill to help support their 11 kids. In the mid-1990s Hall and her brother added snowboarding, Hall said. She expects about 30 snow boarders Friday and about 150 Saturday. Hudson is about a half-hour drive across state lines from Minneapolis. ___

Vegas! We booked a suite at the Bellagio. I am counting the days. P.S. I asked Bob if I could post a honeymoon report and he will allow it as long as he gets to edit it first. What happens in Vegas...
-
We are getting season passes when we get back from the honeymoon. Yay Blue Mt. Sixpack here I come.

I think we should have PASR day at Brew Fest. Who's in?

Anyone planning to invest in Blues new Condos?
sexkitten replied to ColoradoHigh's topic in Blue Mountain
It doesn't matter cause we would pay cash. But they are on site, which is better than an hour and a half away. 7:30 A.M. openings would be a lot more fun if the day began at 7:00 instead of 5:30. -

But we would never trade, sell or try to rent it out, so I think we'll be fine. -

Plus think of all of the sick parties we could have! I am (thinking long term). A house would require too much upkeep in and out of season for us. We don't really want to drive an hour and a half each way in the off season to mow grass, check the pipes, etc. and we can't really have tennants (because we'd want the house empty for ski season). A condo is just more appealing to us and the addtional cost is not really an issue. Besides, if I add more house chores to Bob's list (which keep him from his motorcycle as it is) he might have a nervous breakdown. -

We requested info too and haven't received it either. We are seriously considering a second home and a condo at Blue is pretty appealing to us. Depending on the cost it we might break even considering the price of food at the mountain, gas, wear and tear on my car and lost time (driving McArthur Rd. in the afternoon sucks ass). Plus there is the tax benfit of a second home. Cha ching. We'll see. -
Thanks guys and girls!

OK, I have one pair lined and one pair unlined ski pants and I am not sure if I should wash them in the washing machine or just hose them off and line dry them. The unlined pair has a pretty good gash in the leg (thanks weird dude who ran me over twice on Challenge this year) so that pair is the one I am most afraid machine to wash. What do you guys (or your moms) do? Thanks.

I have seen the light... and the light is Blue

Not to get too off subject, but since you guys are talking about BC does anyone do the picnic table? Bob and I saw it closing weekend and were wondering.
