  1. No you didn't...
  2. They are my customer. Maybe my company could sponsor you. How do you feel about skiing in a thong?
  3. I am working on Bob now. We should be there Sunday from open till lunch. Maybe we'll stick around and watch some of the Slopestyle.
  4. Isn't the PASR day Sunday, March 5th? Just checking.
  5. I just went to CB and they had it and it was really cool. BC def. needs music in the park.
  6. I am all for safety, so I understand the closure, but I wish they had handled it better. They could have used the PA to announce the closure or posted on of the lifties, who were all standing around talking, at the "point of no return" so the people still on the mountain could have avoided the closed lift. I was very disapointed with CB's service, which sucks cause the mountain itself was pretty fun. This was only my second visit to CB and based on what I saw it is most likely my last. Oh well.
  7. There are bumps on Asp? I was there Saturday and I didn't see any bumps.
  8. BOARDERCROSS & SKIERCROSS-Registration from 8am-9am,in the Summit Lodge, $10 to enter, Course Preview 9am-10am, race starting at 10am. Awards after last heat. Will take place on Raceway trail. Age groups are Women, Men 14 & under, Men 15 to 18 and men 19 & older.
  9. I agree. Bob and I are usually out of there right after lunch.
  10. I love Humps and I totally had the BEP song in my head while skiing it.
  11. Damnit Doug, your avatar is freakin scary.
  12. I have always wondered if they disable the cam on busy days so you can't see the long lift lines and decide not to go. It could just be that everyone and their mom are trying to look at the same time I am, but I like the conspiracy theory better.
  13. Does anyone know if this is still on? I was planning on skiing that day anyway cause Saturday I have a fitting. Who is planning on going, weather permitting of course?
  14. Oooohh, I would totally hurt myself on that thing. On behalf of Lehigh Valley Hospital I would like to thank Blue Mt. for installing the new rail in their park. It looks like it will be great for business.
  15. Do you guys have a pic of the new rail? Sorry if there is one earlier in this thread, I quickly browsed it but was too lazy to hardcore search.
  16. Skiing as a 27 year old felt warmer than skiing at 26. Oh wait, that was just the new jacket I got for my b-day...my bad. No, all is the same for now. I'll keep you updated on what falls apart as I approach 30, so you know what you have to look forward to.
  17. Conditions were really good early and we got to ski quite a few first tracks. As a matter of fact, the first few trails we skiied were Bob, Sexkitten and...well... no one else. Being a weekday, the crowds were pretty much nonexistant in the morning and it stayed very sparse most of the day. The weather was fairly warm and the sun was bright but it was hella windy and the gusts at the top of the mt. were crazy. Bob did quite a few runs in the mini park and got a lot of practice jumping, since we were the only ones in there. We checked out the main park, which is so small compared to Blue & BC. The pipe was tiny but they were playing "My Goodies" so I can't hate too much. Everything, small as it was, seemed seemed well maintained and the snow was oh so frosty and granular which equals FAST. Around 11:30 they closed the quad by the double black because they said the wind gusts were over 40mph and it was unsafe. It really sucked the way they did it becuase they decided to close but didn't post someone at "the point of no return" to tell people. We ended up skiing into the stantion only to be told that we had to turn around and hike uphill to use the triple that only goes halfway up. Needless to say Bob was pretty bent. I am not sure why that quad was unsafe to operate but the all of the other lifts were OK, but hey, that's just me. Because of this I did not get a chance to ski the double black, but it looked pretty icy at that point anyway. The 3 single blacks on the other side were in the best shape of any trail I have skied this year and we had a ton of fun skiing those. After lunchtime the wind and the softening snow made for pretty bumpy/ rutty conditions. Most of the trails that weren't groomed/ packed powder sucked becuase the wind and skiers/ riders had pushed most of the loose the powder into giants bumps and ruts. This exposed alot of the ice underneath on the steeper parts of the trails and made for really messy flats. A ton of people were falling, and I may have taken a spill myself on an icy patch on the double blue, maybe. Overall the day was good, my only complaint would be that CB should have handled the lift closing better. It really seemed like CB's management was like "Hey, it's lunch break time and we have no one to cover the quad. Since there isn't a crowd today, lets just close it and hope no one says anything".
  18. Bob is in.
  19. Actually I think we said that everyone who lives in Coatesville is a "troublemaker" and that Allentown is doomed to the same fate. And yes, when you are a snobby eliteist like me, it gets pretty hard to keep looking down on people. I usually get a massage at least once a month for the sore neck I get. I also don't tip the masseuse.. damn dirty Coatevillians.
  20. I went to Wicks and they were great. I have also heard that Nestors is very good. Years of dancing on pointe have resulted in many borken bones below the ankle and flat feet, but my boots always feel like bedroom slippers. If your feet hurt you aren't going to have fun. Get new boots, ASAP.
  21. It depends on when you buy. If you want a deal and can wait, Wicks in Exton, PA has great off season sales. We got skis last year for 75% off.
  22. We would go open till lunch anyway, so I am pretty sure crowds won't be a problem.
  23. That is what we are thinking. If you read other forums you will see that I have asked about almost every mt. in the tri state area as well as the ones in VT. I suck. We just don't want to drive for hours, pay a small fortune and have a crappy time. We would almost rather ski a mountain we know.
  24. I have only been to Camelback once and can't remember the mountain at all. We haven't been back to CB because we are too far to do a week night and don't want to fight the weekend crowds. We took off Friday to ski and have been trying to decide on somewhere to go besides Blue. Do you guys think that CB's Blacks are better, steeper, harder at than the ones at Blue? Would you go to CB or Blue if you were us? Thanks in advance.
  25. Really... how old are you? The nicer parts of "da ville" are pretty close knit from what I've heard. Maybe you know Bob.
