A little over two hours left on everything and so far the only thing sold is the board. This is a good opportunity to get some really good gear wicked cheap.

People don't get hurt when they slide off and hit snow because that's not really possible. People DO get hurt when they land wrong and blow knees/tear rotator cuffs/compress their backs/tweak their neck.

Coincidentally this is the same airbag that I watched sideline multiple dudes this summer. I know I'm belaboring the point right now but these things are sketchy at best and dangerous as hell at worst.
-
Saw the thread title and assumed that the thread was about the current resurgence of snowboarders spinning 180 while on rails. This is honestly the most disgusting thing you can do on a rail, please don't do it :/
-
They had those at one of the camps this summer and they're good for one thing; getting completely broke-the-fuck-off. They are really really dangerous and I've seen multiple people get severely injured on them. If you can't sack up and don't have the abilities to throw something on a real jump then you probably shouldn't be trying it in the first place.

Didn't read thread, Glenn I've got a pair of brand new medium black Holden pants I'll sell to you for cheap. IM/PM me. welp nevermind.

Boots are probably the most important piece of equipment because if your boots are not comfortable then you will not want to snowboard. Please do not force your son to use boots that are too small unless you want him to really hate snowboarding. If he's really growing that fast do a seasonal rental like Glenn said or go to Play it Again Sports and buy him a pair of boots that fit for $75. Saving a hundred bucks a year on a pair of boots is ridiculous when you factor in how much money you're going to lose on day tickets or a season pass when he takes two runs then spends the rest of his time playing Time Crisis in the lodge.

Hahahahahahahahaha. You're like that annoying dipshit who played football in high school and is constantly reminding people about how good he was even though he didn't have the chops to play college ball or ever actually do anything with the small amount of skill he was given. You are the snowboard equivalent of this guy; No one here is impressed with the majority of the nonsense you post because we do the same shit and in some respects do it on a much bigger scale. Have fun pushing your $900 snowboards to the limit in the 6 foot "halfpipes" of NEPA. Just to expedite things, here's the link to my facebook, seeing as you are apparently getting your junior internet detective degree by googling people who call you out in this thread.

Haha, I remember this guy from a long time ago. It's nice to see that he still is claiming his USASA wins like they actually mean something. Also the concept of a decent pipe rider who's local mountain is Camelback is absolutely hilarious. Isn't your name Jer or something? Wanna tell us again how you used to ride with Keir back Shawnee?
-
Ahahahaha oh how the tables have turned.
-
15% off any roundtrip flight I'm going to fly roundtrip to denver for the tradeshow for ~$80
-
Oh yeah I just remembered that thanks to absolute dipshits that post on this forum I have lost the ability to edit my posts! Thanks guys! Here's another; Don Vivi's Pizzeria (2727 NE Glisan St.) Also, a big part of me suggesting against riding while you are out there was before I remembered about the Greasebus. It's an awesome service run by some friends of mine who charge $10 for roundtrip service to Meadows. If you have the means to rent a car then by all means do it but I would still recommend taking the Greasebus regardless of wether or not you have a car. It's too cheap and too easy not to ride it, most of my friends who live in Portland use it exclusively to get to the mountain.
-
Honestly? Meadows is your only option (or Ski Bowl for night riding, I guess). Bachelor is 4+ hours from Portland (not including winter weather road conditions). Meadows is about a hour and a half with clean roads. If you don't have transportation your only logical option is The Greasebus. I've spent a ton of time in Portland and have rode all the Hood mountains during the winter and if you are going to be spending a week or less in the area I'd suggest just having a really good time in Portland and don't bother spending the time or the money visiting mountains that won't even begin to parallel what you've got at home. While you're in Portland you should do all of the following: Restaurants: Rocco's Pizza (949 SW Oak St, kitty-corner from Powell's Books, cheap giant slices and cheap beer) Nicholas' (318 SE Grand Ave, Turkish restaurant a few doors down from Andy & Bax) Voodoo Doughnuts (22 SW 3rd Avenue, this place is basically a tourist trap now I guess?? I've never been there myself but everyone I know says it's amazing and that you should go so...) Meat Cheese Bread (1406 SE Stark, good sandwich place) Stores: Powell's Bookstore (1005 W Burnside, kitty-corner from Rocco's Pizza) Andy & Bax Military Surplus (324 SE Grand Ave, few doors down from Nicholas') The ReCyclery (they have a couple locations, awesome used bike shit) Activities: Baghdad Theater (3702 SE Hawthorne Blvd, old theater converted to a 21+ movie theater, tickets are $3 and they have a full bar and some pretty good concessions) That's just the stuff I can think of off the top of my head, I'll edit this post later and and add a bunch of other stuff that would be worthwhile to check out.

NITRO T1 158 WIDE- $150 Excellent condition, rode a handful of times and has no coreshots or broken edges. There is one small chip on the top of the sidewall on the left side but it is completely cosmetic and does not affect the board at all. Makes for a really good pow board or park board for a bigger rider. 09/10 CAPITA STAIRMASTER EXTREME 156- $200 Very good condition, no coreshots, cracks, broken edges, etc. HOLDEN PERMA PRESS PANTS- $150 Condition: New, never worn with tags Color: Black Size: Medium Outer: 10,000mm waterproof / 10,000gm breathable vintage twill stretch polyester with fully taped seams Lining: nylon taffeta and moisture wicking mesh Tricot lined handwarmer pockets Tricot lined seat and knees Two-way zippered mesh vents Stretch leg gaiter Leather belt loop / lift ticket holder One-piece powder skirt zipper integration All prices are without shipping, if you're interested I can take better photos and can estimate shipping based on your zip code.

Ordered four pair and got them today this deal is/was awesome

I have a powder board (Nitro T1 158 wide) that gets waxed regularly and has decently sharp edges. I don't need to tune it often because it's only really brought out on pow days and I'm never hitting rails with it. I've got a park/everything else board (Salomon Sanchez 152) that is pretty beat to shit. I took the edges off with an angle grinder and got it base ground once and I wax it if I think I'm not going fast enough.

Like I said earlier I couldn't imagine a Stash on the east coast with the limited amount of tree snow that mountains end up getting per year. The only real feasible way to keep something like this open for more than a few days per season would be by putting all the features on an area of the hill where you can easily blow snow.
-
The Stash at Northstar was awesome when it'd snow 6++ inches, I'm curious to see how an east coast equivalent is going to work out with the lack of natural snow.
-
I've got an IRO Angus and a Salomon Sanchez/Nitro T1. I don't know what that's supposed to mean but OK.
