  1. It was a joke.
  2. Nice try, Bode. We all know you fell because you were hungover.
  3. You sure it wasn't Big Bear? I replied to this thread before the flyer loaded. Thanks dial-up!
  4. Does it ever strike you as strange that the only two people who have spun past 1080 on a snowboard this past season either did it on a 80+ jump or on a complete monstrosity that had to be constructed specfically for maximum airtime? Are you telling me that 99.9999% of the snowboarding world doesn't do 1260+ because they can't spin that fast? Go read any interview with Josh Dirksen or Robbie Sell and they'll explain why they don't want to spin anything past 9. Shit, Dirksen has told me personally that the only reason he does nines in the first place is for a paycheck. If he didn't have the pressure of sponsorship hanging over his head he'd never do another 900+ degree spin for the rest of his life. If lack of skill equates to being critical about the opposition then I'd better watch what you say because you're turning into a shining example.
  5. The only thing big jumps seperate are ligaments.
  6. I'm sorry but I find it absolutely hilarious that you are trying to tell us what's acceptable in freestyle skiing/snowboarding. You should really link up with the USASA crowd, birds of a feather and all that. Hands down funniest thing I've ever read on this website.
  7. You should stop posting.
  8. Oh hey, you're right. Snowboarding is all about seeing how hard you huck and style is stupid because anyone can do it. The fact that this kid was trying to frontflip a battleship box is just icing on the cake.
  9. Mods please add my new smiliey for this thread TIA
  10. Willy One-Huck in the house tonight. P.S. You should try ice skating.
  11. The two things I would ask for would be wider lips for rails (that would be raked and salted on a regular basis) and less money on circus rails, more spent on realistic stock rails. Actually, the whole "raked and salted" thing can be applied to all features, including jumps and landings. You're cutting off your nose to spite your face. There's a big difference between lacking skill to hit a jump and not wanting to hit it because it isn't maintained and/or built properly.
  12. Who cares, he was drinking the night before so the only acceptable answer is HUNGOVER.
  13. Saftey Patrol at Northstar has these things, too. It's kinda silly when they stop you. "You were going too fast" "Really? How fast was I going?" "You were going 24 miles per hour and that is too fast for our saftey zones" "Oh, well, sorry about that, I didn't realize I was speeding because there are no posted speed limits and I don't have a speedometer in my brain" "..." I'm personally a fan of stopping next to Saftey Patrol and asking them if they can tell me how fast I'm going when I tuck it on the next run.
  14. Uh. I seriously doubt you're jumping anything that requires a stiff board but if you feel like spending money on a new snowboard who am I to stop you? Hope you like riding a 48, 51, or 57.
  15. Alpine is your best bet right now in North Lake. Northstar is only really fun if you like rails.
  16. I'll believe it when I see it.
  17. If you can't slide a 15 foot downrail you have absolutely no business hitting street rails.
  18. Anything less than 15 is a waste of time, unless they're long steps.
  19. Alright, I was going to slide this for my ender-ender this year but I am in a festive mood so I will share one of my secret spots with you guys MERRY CHRISTMAS.
  20. There is no way I'd hitchhike anywhere near Bear. I think I heard banjoes playing last time I went there...
  21. When I got to Northstar today it was drizzling and when I left it was dumping. Rumor has it that we've got 10-15 inches coming tonight and we need it pretty badly. I haven't gone to Alpine yet but I can't imagine they're doing much better than Northstar at this point.
  22. I never rode any Technine products. I rode Burton stuff because it was either good quality (bindings) or cheap/free (boots/boards). I'm not wild about the whole black and red thing but whatever, they're decent bindings and my Cartels are about to shit the bed anyway so I needed to replace them. Also, the Brown Santa is the UPS man February maybe, not sure yet. Me either but they were willing to help me out so I figured I'd give them a try. The Music rode well today, still a little stiff but I'll work that out in a week or two.
  23. Mods trolling normal users ITT.
