I honestly don't know how you guys can even begin to say that Blue's rails and boxes are better quality than Bear Creek's rails and boxes.

I think I've just gotten to the point where there is nothing that CB can do that would really surprise me that much. I haven't seen that mountain make one smart move since I started riding there in '98.

PL already designed and fabricated all the features and I'm sure they played a major role in training the current staff on grooming. The "hard" part was already done and there was no contracts signed for the season, apparently. I still don't know the reason why they were let go but I can't imagine it wasn't something that could have been settled a different way.

Unfortunately the two often go hand in hand. I think it's pretty clear that PL got a raw deal and I think you're arguing to the counter just to rile up Rob

My fairly unbiased "predictions" 1. JF/BB 2. BC 3. Blue 64. Camelback I guess you could throw Shawnee in there somewhere, I don't really know too much about it. Also note that those "predictions" completely ignore the 3PM first chair at JF/BB (incoming run-on) mainly due to the fact that it means less traffic but you also miss the best time to ride park thus making it a moot point as far as I'm concerned. Edit: I heard Sno is going to have a park but I've heard other dubious claims about that hill, so I'll leave it out of this discussion.

Well some of them are buddies of mine so it wasn't that much different from the norm I guess. It was overcast for the majority of the day so we were just taking quicklaps, not really going for broke or anything.

I want to post about this because it was awesome but I don't feel like making a new thread; today I rode with Robbie Sell, Stephen Duke, Jussi Oksanen, Erik Lines, and Travis Parker, in addition to most of my awesome Tahoe friends. Quite possibly one of the best days snowboarding in my life.

There's a rumor floating around that Northstar is going to become a private resort at some point over the next ten years. This is a stupid idea.

Once you realize that there is absolutely nothing you can do to change the current weather your life will become much easier. Stop checking the forcast every twenty minutes and accept the fact that mountains will open at some point and there is little to nothing you can do to change that fact.
