I honestly can't believe some of you bitching about judging in the xgames. White killed it and deserved the gold.
-
Most likely. You should request me as your counselor
-
Not coaching, hopefully counseling. I'll let you guys know when I know 100% what job I've have this year.
-
If you snowboard, you should be going to HCSC.

Here's a little video from today. For some reason this guy thought the landing of the hip would be a good place to stand. click here Edit: the video really doesn't do it justice.

What nights does your school club have their outings at CB?
DHarrisburg replied to setagehtta's topic in Camelback
If I remember correctly we were there 4 to 10 on friday nights. -
If you want to spin off a jump (this goes double if you want to cork) you have to go faster than you would if you were just straight-airing it. That's a fact.

Nile will never be a terrain park. The grade is too mellow for any decent sized jumps, the trail is too long for CB's current terrain selections (unless they decide to build 50 new rails for next year), and it's a beginner favorite. It'd be nice but I seriously doubt that CB is willing to make the commitment of a Nile Mile terrain park.

Congrats. I havn't seen you post anything about moving to JH, good luck with it. As a sidenote, I'd suggest reevaluating your life if you feel the need to compare yourself to someone half your age.

I don't really know where this came from but it really doesn't bug me because I rode two feet of new snow today (and there will be two more feet for tomorrow!).

Rails: hard way front 270 on street-style rail Jumps: Cab 5 in pow Cliffs: 40 footer Scariest thing I've done? Pointing it switch on this trail at June Mt. My eyes were watering

I'm pretty sure you have to find a woman who wants to have sex with you first. ROUND TWO: As if you didn't have enough endless posts already.

Ahahaha did you go to High Cascade this year? We OD'd on neon HARD. It was always hilarious dropping kids off at the airport, though. You'd be able to spot a HCSC camper from a mile away -
barley also why is that hard to come out fakie? the hardest part of it is getting it back to regular (or getting it back to fakie the hard way )

the airblaster leashes started as a joke and got really, really trendy. It's a bit of a waste of money but honestly it's not like snowboarders don't have money burning holes in their pockets. -
All that matters is that they're buying them. Most "soccer mom" skiers started riding PEs because they're wide and cheap.

Depends on what wind stop speeds are set at and the direction of the wind.

If your friend is interested I've got a 06 K2 Darkstar 150 for sale. $315 shipped. P.S. brand new in wrapper

This thread reminds me of how annoying it is when people are compared to Nazis, Hitler, etc. Once a ranger and/or the PR head of Camelback begins wiping out an entire race, feel free to compare. Until then, please stop being such a big drama queen.

At CB it'd be a bit silly to ride a fixed grip, considering all of the terrain is accessable by quad. Usually fixed grip chairs get tracked out less because nobody wants to ride them, so they're a plus on a pow day. 65 MPH is based off what I've been told by Maintenance and the strain I've seen lifts operate under. To clarify, those are 65 MPH gusts, not a steady 65. At Mammoth we'd usually shut down shop if winds would get around a steady 45 MPH. Anything over that is just no fun for anyone. Staff doesn't want to stand outside and guests usually retire to the lodge after one run. Honestly, I'd rather see resorts play it on the safe side. Chairs won't fall off a line with gusts at 65, but it's very possible that guests can get blown off chairs. I wouldn't suggest relaying any of this info to anyone important. I'm not quite sure how far info from a kid who worked a season as a lift op will take you.

Fun Fact: Your average Doppelmayr high-speed quad is cleared to operate in crosswinds up to 65 mph. Fixed grip lifts can go a little higher, if I remember correctly. Nine times out of ten, mountains shut down due to lack of interest, not because it's unsafe. They'll tell you it's a saftey issue so that they don't have to refund passes.

I'm not on it, and I have absolutely no inclination to join. Suprisingly, I'm not frothing at the mouth for Rob to stop posting about it. Maybe it's becuase I can ignore it. I suggest you guys try the same approach. You all sound like the people at the CB board who are moaning because too many people have PASR in their signatures.
