I own them. The straps are soft, not overstuffed to the point of not being soft. Agency makes solid bindings and was my second choice behind the Cartels. I picked the Cartels based on the fact that they are designed in conjunction with Burton boots (which I own) and my last pair of Mission Greeds lasted me two years and probably would have lasted another two provided they didn't get stolen. Plus the straps are awesome and Danny needs to look at a color wheel

Cartels cost $200 and don't have retardedly overstuffed ankle straps.
-
Oh, what kind of boots do you have?
-
Look at every am/pro snowboarder who doesn't have a binding sponsor. They ride Burton bindings. That's because they're freaking awesome. Cartels are around $220 this season with tax and are a steal.

I was riding some Rome 390 samples but was having trouble with the rachets so I figured I'd just get a new set. I rode the Mission Greeds for two seasons (first gen. Burton capstrap binders) and I like them. I paid $180 but I would have gladly paid retail ($225 including CA tax if I remember correctly). Burton makes awesome bindings and I never have a problem paying for a quality product. When it comes to the capstraps, I like them. I've been riding this year's straps for a few months now (had update straps on my old bindings) and I think they're the best straps I've rode. I'm glad Burton finally decided to make some multi-material straps, rather than go with just leather (all the leather straps I've had ripped out after two or three months). Not much has changed to the Mission design, other than the updated highbacks (material was removed to make the bindings lighter). Rode them today for a few hours and they work perfectly with my Burton Sabbaths from last season, and I'm sure they'd work find with any boot after a little strap adjustment. Highly recommended. If you've got extra money to spend and you like a stiffer binding, look at the C60s. I know a few kids who ride them and they're pretty popular. Super-light and stiff, but a little harsh on the wallet. Edit: Also, I went with the stock Mission Cartels, not the limited edition ones. Honestly, all you're paying for is a heelcup that is more hassle than worth and an argyle design on the highback. I guess if you're really into having the most expensive and newest gear it'd make sense to buy them, but the stock Cartels will do everything the limited ones will, but cheaper.

I finally bought some new bindings today (Burton Cartels) and they're fun.

Ahahahaha holy shit everyone would die.

Bear had a rail with those exact dimentions last year. There was a contest to see who could be the first person to slide it and get it on film. I forget what the prize was. Personally, I'd either want the down flat down that Mammoth had last year (20 feet down, 5 foot flat, 20 foot down) or a nice 40 foot long 3 inch wide mellow downrail.
-
Ahahaha that's the biggest crock I've heard in a while.
-
That'd be fine if certain drugs didn't give you an unfair advantage. Regardless of how athletes want to be viewed, kids still look up to them for different reasons.
-
And I'm selling one right now. Hell, I'll knock 50 bucks off for you (or anyone else who wants it). Click here for more info

OK, knocking $50 off the price. Now you can get this board for $150 shipped.
-
Here's the two biggest reasons why: They don't have the park budget that MC has They don't advertise in TW
-
They will tell you that it's not their fault your board broke, it's the board company. The board company will then tell you it's because of the plates. Good luck.
-
More like 20% but I'm pretty sure you know what I was getting at.
-
Surefoot scans your foot, then builds you a custom mold based on the scan. There was an article on it in the TW Buyer's Guide, if I remember correctly.
-
Street Dwellers retail for 150 and have no metal edges at all and are wood construction. Not worth it. The jury is still out on the recessed edge. If you properly detune your board there's no need for a gimmick that will make it "easier" to slide rails.

That's like saying if you have enough footage of the Sahara you can edit out the sand

Nope. VT is right with pizza delivery.

In Mammoth? No, just going to be visiting a good amount. Right now I'm living in Carnelian Bay and working in Tahoe City.
-
Yeah, they have one in Mammoth, and I'd be willing to bet they have one somewhere in Truckee. I'm not quite sure if I can afford the price, let me think about it and I'll get back to you.
-
Are they ski specfic or can I get snowboard liners, too?
-
Actually that message (minus the "PLZ NO MESSAGES) is what you see when you try to send a message to someone else on this messageboard. I guess I should change it if it's confusing people.

Personally, I think there are a handful of rails that every mountain with a park should have. These rails should be the building blocks for a sucessful park. They're all rails you can learn a handful of tricks on, which can then be take to bigger or more difficult rails. Every park should have a flat box, flat rail, flat down box, flat down rail, and a down rail. CB is skipping some major steps. You wouldn't want to open a mountain with 29 black diamonds and two green trails. I don't know why Camelback is getting "advanced" boxes when they still lack basic features. Oh gee thanks problem solved I guess we can stop posting about Camelback's park because there are far better ones in PA. (p.s. that's my smartass comment for this thread hope you liked it )
-
Thanks. Living outside of PA has nothing to do with the way I post. If you go back and read some of my posts from years ago on the CB board you'll find much of the same. I learned to snowboard in the Poconos and they hold a place in my heart. This is why I continue to post on PASR and the CB message board. I assume this is why Sibhusky and snowskilz still post here. I'm confused as to how you associate me saying that your source sucks with me "trashing the poconos." First off, it's SNOWBOARD DOT COM. If you had posted a thread with a half-decent source, I probably would have said something along the lines of "oh wow awesome I wish mountains opened that early when I lived in PA." Rather, you posted a thread with a rumor from someone who has nothing to do with BC. The rumor was debunked by offical BC reps, then you say that I'm bashing the poconos. I really don't see the connection. Oh yeah, and feel free to talk trash about where I ride. It doesn't really matter to me, becuase I have fun here. It's pretty similar to how I didn't care about people talking trash when I rode at CB. Some of you guys get your panties in a bunch if someone even says the slightest negative thing about PA mountains, and that doubles if the person doesn't live in PA. Get over yourselves (or your respective mountains). Hay guys I heard Batboy and Elvis were having lunch at a diner in Topeka. My source is the National Enquirer.
