  1. Burton has a pretty good warantee policy, but honestly, it wasn't worth it for me. Sure, I got a ton of free boards, but what's the point when I break them after an average of about 20 days on hill? They're fun to ride but I've found boards that are just as fun and much, much more durable.
  2. Johnny Lazz makes another PASR appearance...
  3. I rode slicks for a season and a half and they were allright, I guess. I rode the old blue/green 152s and used it for everything (jumps, pipe, pow, rails). I went through them fairly quickly (about a board every month and a half), but it was probably because I was jumping on a super-floppy board. I probably won't ride one again, but it was fun for a while.
  4. Even if the 40 foot rail was 3 feet off the snow it'd still suck. It's wavy as all hell.
  5. If you want I can take them out of the bag and post a photo of someone wearing them. The figment is a regular size, mabye a little on the big side depending on what goggle you usually wear.
  6. Anon Sabrosa goggles, new in wrapper, $35 shipped They're a little smaller than the Figments. Atomic Discharger 158, new with sticker still on base, $150 shipped UPDATED PRICE It's a 158 and pretty wide, good for those of you with large feet. If you buy the board before someone claims the goggles I'll throw the goggles in for free. Feel free to post any questions you have.

  8. Why am I not suprised at this "revelation?"
  9. Wait what? There was a cash prize? If I knew it was going to be that much I would have flown home for a week :/
  10. ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  11. That's the "super-reduced" price? Yikes, what's the normal price?
  12. It's a bad combo because all it does is slightly cover the ground, and when you make a turn you're going to cut straight to the ground. New snow this early is good for establishing a base to be built on (provided it stays cold enough to make snow after the fall), but even if it snowed a foot you're still going to have a problem with riding on it without a base. Plus, a base will keep the snow colder so it'll stick around longer (even if it rains). That's fine, just don't expect your local mountain to open up the day after the storm.
  13. No established base + new snow is a really bad combo. FYI.

    goggles

That's the standard price for those goggles without a mirrored lense. Sounds like the website screwed up when listing them. You could try emailing them, I guess.
  15. I know :/ I'm basically depending on using wifi at this one coffee place for uploading the website, and when I went there last night they were closed. They either turn off sharing at night or I can't get a signal outside of the shop, so I'll be uploading it in a few hours.
  16. They probably ordered a bunch of shitty pre-fabricated rails from Blue J Rails (or an equally horrible company) again.

    goggles

Isn't that kinda the point of mirrored lenses? Tint wear and scratches will happen to every pair of goggles you own unless you are super anal about taking care of them and don't ski in rain or snow.
  18. The guy actually clipped that side with the tails of his skis. Sketchy... Yeah, I updated the website today and forgot to rename the one folder, I'm going to try to see if I can fix it right now, otherwise it'll have to wait until I get my laptop back tomorrow. Edit: yeah, can't fix it from here. Website should be back up tomorrow at around 8PM EST.
  19. I've kinda got one. Planning on being there for a few days this season, for old time's sake
  20. Boreal Mountain had a rail jam last night, and this morning some buddies of mine got what was left of the snow. We headed over to this wooden 22 stair handrail in Kings Beach and got down to business. I still haven't bought a pair of bindings yet, so I was regulated to photog. Here's some pictures, video should be up in a few days. I haven't messed with them in photoshop yet, so they're still a bit wonky color-wise. My roommate, 'lil Johnny Lazzareschi. First try!!! front 50/50, stomped the hell out of it. This kid is 14 and KILLS it. Check out some of his video at www.theohyeahinternetwebsite.com. Unfortunately, you don't stomp everything you try. The skiers were having a bit of trouble. Here's some photos of pre-fall action; And here's how the session was brought to a screeching halt; Like I said, video in a few days. The session-ending fall is pretty good

    goggles

Oh, and I'm going to go ahead and suggest against the Wisdoms, unless you have a ridiculous amount of money to waste and like goggles that break easily.

    goggles

I've got a set of Figments, a pair of Electrics, and a couple of Smiths and I've been happy with them all.
  23. It's sad that MC has to do this, but I guess it's for the best. The only thing that makes it a bit silly is that they have to pay people to check passes at the trail, but whatever.
  24. Nine new rails that will all be ride-on. THANKS CAMELBACK!
  25. Every other major resort in North America would care to disagree.
