  1. . But, I bet ski999 and some of the other guys have some stories to tell here... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I asked a female co-worker a couple years back for a donation for the tree. She reached into her purse and went to give me a 20. When I told her that wouldn't do and what she should donate, it damn near got me fired. No sense of humor. Plus, never piss off a woman that carries a gun for a living. Too bad to, it would have been visible from way down on the Stevenson. See y'all next week! PAX
  2. That's it!!!! I'm notifying th ASPCA. This poor dead horse has been beat enough.
  3. You don't "buy" them. That offends the snow gods. You have to talk females into making a donation or sacrifice if you would. This ensures snow. The snow gods know phony when they see it.
  4. Yes I will with Margaritaville under the parrot.
  5. It'll be mostly weekday skiing for me but I plan to be there presidents weekend to make a couple of runs with "the dude".
  6. Gonna hit Hunter and maybe Elk while I'm up but spend most of my time at CB. Look for the parrot on the helmet and don't be shy. PAX
  7. Thanks for that info. With any luck at all, I should be skiing next Wednesday and spending three weeks at CB. I'm not looking forward to that 20 hr drive by myself but it is something you'd do for a sport you love. If I can pull it together, I may have to call Skidude out for a run down Raceway. He'll have to spot me a handicap to make it fair though. The age differance is definetly in his favor. See y'all next week.
  8. I never thought I'd be asking for directions to get to CB having skied there for 35 yrs but I was always coming from central Jersey. Probably could drive there with my eyes closed and I know I drove home sometimes that way. Anywho, heading up next week from Margaritaville and I'm trying to find the quickest way from I 95 without going into Jersey. Since I'm gonna try to do it in a straight shot , I need to know some good roads from the Delaware/Pa line up to the Pocs. Any help would be appreciated. Look forward to seeing some PASR stickers while I'm up. PAX
  9. Sorry to hear about the ACL tear . The Dude is right, they'll refund you up to a certain amount but make sure you notify them immediately. When my wife hyperextended her ACL and was out for the season, I hesitated and was out of luck with any form of a refund. Best of luck with the surgery and remember to do what the doctors tell you to do. You're young enough that you'll come back strong. PAX
  10. Rough crowd here Skidude. I'm still trying to figure out who the heavily pierced Ranger chick was.
  11. Again, its not a matter of whether or not, I'm legally bound to give a report, but whether or not the rangers are authorized to clip me if I don't. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They can only "clip" your ticket if you are involved in an unsafe act. If you feel you're getting hassled for no good reason, go talk to their boss. Just don't go in with an attitude. PAX 11 days to go!!
  12. Hate to say it man but the only reason you probably got stopped and asked to help out was because you appreared to be a good boarder. They don't interview newbies.Want to avoid the stop, ride like you don't know what you're doing. Accept the compliment.
  13. Sounds like my kind of run!!
  14. It's called the rules of evidence. Don't be surprised if it actually goes to trial if your friend has to testify. An inconvience yes, but necessary. Also a great civics lesson. PAX 2 weeks to go!!
  15. The rangers are the ones that investigate and fill out an accident report. They're the ones that conduct on slope interviews . They're also usually the first ones on the scene of an incident and if you're the one laying there in pain , you don't care what color his jacket is. They're not all d---s you know. PAX
  16. No power or showers, sounds like Margaritaville this past summer during hurricane season. That does rot Racerchick. At least we could jump in the pool.
  17. No offense taken. Maybe you should change your signature to "I hate certain rangers!" LOL PAX Stuck in the80's, 80f that is!
  18. aand no rangers and not manjy sk partolers <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, the only place I ever got my ticket clipped in 37 years of skiing!
  19. Hey man, don't judge all of us because of the actions by a few. We're all skiers and boarders.
  20. The net was usually there to prevent those that shouldn't be in the pipe (kids on leashes etc) from getting in there since it reguired you to drop in from the side. When the net wasn't up, everyone would be in there ruining for you pipe riders. And yes, I patrolled the pipe and park trying to keep the ones who were a danger to themselves and others out of there.
  21. Besides, they can't outrun Motorola. I didn't know Ski911. :
  22. Probably because the fall line tends to throw you to the right and that's where it gets chopped up by the skiers and boarders who don't belong there. PAX
  23. Been there, done that on more occasions than I care to remember, got the scars to prove it. But I do love it!!!
  24. I hope you're right, but, the two week projection still calls for warm wet weather in the POCS. And that's from the same outfit providing the maps.
  25. I don't know, two week forcast doesn't look good at all, as per conditions page for CB
