  1. Got back a little bit ago from a decent day at Ski Roundtop. I am chillen at my cousins house this weekend and it was about a 30 minute drive to the mountain. I didn't get there in time for first chair. I slacked after a night of drinking and made it there 30 mins after opening. When I pulled up the lower lot was roped off and saying no more spots, but then I saw that it is for season pass holders only. The upper lot isn't that far, and they have shuttles running all the time. Conditions were great. They must have blown A LOT of snow. Fresh cord was everywhere and the grooming was great. The mountain is really small so it must be easy for them to cover the terrain quickly. It was a bluebird morning which was great because the snow was soft and carvable, but not all that slow. I don't know any of the names of the runs but I started with a whole bunch of the one that goes right along the quad. They have some rollers on the sides that I was getting some small air off of and pulling some steezy spread eagles. After about 10 runs I went to the skiers right side of the mountain to hit Gunbarrel and Ramrod. I don't remember which one is which but one has the really steep top, and the other has bumps. I was not a big fan of either. The steep one is only steep for about 15 yards, smaller than Falls at Blue. It was all dug out and you had to go basically down chutes and then hit bumps. Just not fun. Then the whole bottom was really choppy and full of just random bumps here and there. They should really groom the bottom part. Would make it much better. The other double black had bumps on the top. They were terrible. No rhythm and really pushed out from kids on snowboards that get over there, then just slide down. I did each of them a few times then went back to the other side. I did a bunch of runs mixing it up between the two diamonds and one blue run. All in all it was a pretty good day. It never got real crowded which was nice. Snow stayed great. The locals are very friendly. Every single chairlift that I was sitting with someone, they would start up a conversation. Only downside of the mountain is the size. You spend more time on the lift because the runs are SO short. I have never made less turns before on a run. Also there is no high speed lift which is ok cause of the size but then your sitting more than skiing. Peace out
  2. That slopestyle looks just like Blues terrain park....

    WP GR 2

Sick pics dude. I am pumped for March.
  4. Skied from 8-4 and had a great time except for the guns blasting all day and sticking to my goggles. That was annoying. Rode the lift with Eugene on like my 4th run. Also met Melissa. Was lookin for you ski and an orange helmet. I was on the NF for most of the time but never saw you.
  5. I dunno how far it is from PSU, but I hear Holiday Valley in NY is a sweet mountain.
  6. I really couldn't tell ya. I never went through it cause I saw what it looked like. Sorry
  7. Don't you work as park crew?
  8. Deer run is great. You can get lots of speed and make huge GS style turns on it. Only problem is that it is pretty short. But yeah def get some runs down Deer Run. Forgot all about that one As for the terrain park, last year what I saw you could hardly call it a terrain park. There were a few rails and a few tiny jumps, and a school bus just covered with snow. I never once saw a "park crew" and it wasn't maintained. Things could have changed, but all of my info is from last year.
  9. Unless they get a foot of snow, don't try the glades on the lower part of the mountain. They are very rocky and only open with lots of snow. Not worth tearing the shit out of the bottom of your board. Now that i look at the map, none of the lower stuff is open. Grooming was always good when I was there early. I recommend getting fresh tracks and ripping down Jack Rabbit or Expressway. If they get fresh snow, they won't always groom Expressway and it is fun before it gets skied out. Mambo is a fun long green windy trail, but normally gets skied off quickly. If they do open any part of the lower mountain, Stembogen is a fun trail and also Upper/Lower High Hopes.
  10. Starting to stick here in Illadelphia. Hopefully it snows for a while in the Poconos and I can still find some freshies at Sno on Sat.
  11. I will be up early on Sat. Black Jacket, White Pants, White Gloves, Camo Twin Tips. Holler at me.
  12. Thoughts and prayers go out
  13. I went there about 8 times last year and not once was there any crowds. Being MLK weekend there might be a little, but it won't be nearly what it is over here on the far east. As for the park, it is basically non existent. Maybe a few rails and a couple little jumps, but I never saw a park crew on it once. Which direction would you be heading to go to the Knob.

    helmet audio

RED HiFi Audex Subwoofer. They go for $160. Only heard good things. I have one on the way. Had to order mine from Burton's store cause they are hard to find in Blk and size M.
  15. You wear bubble wrap?? Thats tight dude. I should try that cause it will protect me when i fall. Good idea
  16. I would assume they would, cause most board pants are baggier than ski pants. I have always worn snowboard pants cause ski pants seem restrictive to me. I like bagginess cause I feel more mobile.
  17. Well I know backcountry.com sells like every size and a lot of pants. I have a pair of Burton and Oakley pants and Burton runs bigger/baggier than Oak. Thats all I know cause thats all I have used.

    OH MY GOD.

Blue is better. Cya for first chair.
  19. The kids that want to get out of the city, work their asses off to get out. They are the motivated ones that want to change their lives. The ones that don't care and just wanna get out of high school, they are the ones getting the low SAT scores cause it won't change their life anyway. And wtf is this about? The kids in your school spoke better English because THEY ARE AND HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE. This guy doesn't speak that great of English CAUSE HE DOESN'T LIVE HERE meaning he doesn't always hear proper English and isn't speaking it that much. He also said that he is over here visiting family, that is why he is boarding in PA. Grill off the guy.
  20. Funny you say that cause I took my SATs, got a 1200/1600 and then took then did the Princeton Review where you are "guaranteed" to raise your score. Well my next score was 1150/1600 and I got a full refund. So no its not about the tutoring. If you put the effort in, you can help yourself.
  21. When it gets closer to march and I make a decision of where I will be going, I will post back and ask for suggestions on what to hit at each place.
  22. They are last years Look PX 12. I see on backcountry.com they have wider brakes I can buy. I have a heat gun and all the tools at my shop, I might try to bend them and if it doesn't work, I'll just get the wider brakes.
  23. First off, learn to spell. It's license. Second, you don't go to Blue Knob for the park, you go for the terrain. You must not have gone to many mountains to believe that Blue Knob is the worst mountain ever. Third, if by tightest you mean the most crowded and the shortest runs and everyone being so tight cause you can't move, then yes, go to seven springs.
  24. I got a new pair of skis and already had a new pair of Look P 12 bindings. Only problem is, the brakes aren't wide enough for the skis. Can I just bend them out? Do I need to buy wider brakes and if so where? Or is this problem unfixable and I need bindings with wide enough brakes on them?
  25. Wow, just wow. Mad jealous
