The Republicans hate universal health care even more than the ACA. Until we get the money out of politics that's never going to happen. Look at our totally unqualified so-called Education Secretary. She bought that position.

I was confused thinking you were getting on 78 East. 78 West and 309N run together up to where they split past 222. I would just call it 309N to 22E since you stay on 309 when it splits to 22.
-
Why do you get on 78 from 309 to go to Blue?
-
Cool pic, Barb. But I liked the cougar pic that you posted the other day better.

Good deal. Thanks for posting.

Razors and Razorback are listed as open. Planning to head up after work. Any reports from today appreciated.

Thanks for the report. I'll be there on Friday. An update on conditions on Thursday would be great.

Ski options for day trips on Thanksgiving Weekend

Greek Peak opening Friday. http://greekpeak.net/new-york-ski-resorts/hours-operation -
The WNEP Card gets worse every year and the price stays the same. I could use Gore, Shawnee, and Big Bear but not a great deal at that price. The ski club Pocono Card has Shawnee and Big Bear and I have a deal for Smuggs. If they still had JF/BB and Montage it might be worth it. It used to have Greek Peak too. Doubt they sell out this year. If they end up dropping the price later in the season it might be worth it to get it just for Gore depending on the price.

I hope that's an April Fools joke. If not, that is not a good thing.

Nice place but nothing hard. Mostly blue cruisers. Their steepest but short trail, Screamin' Demon, is closed. Nice lodge with a nice bar. I don't know what trail map GSS is looking at but their website does have their own map. It's not a good map. The area is actually better than the map. If you like blue cruisers go. If you like steeps and bumps go somewhere else.

So tell us something we already know...... Why are you infatuated with this? It would just be a waste of money to run the Long Haul on a weekday without upper Fast Track open or even if it was open. The only time it makes sense to run it is on a weekend with the whole mountain open. Have you ever even skied there? I'll save you some time..... 2/5/16: Closed today.

Ray used to do the 4:00 groom. Night skiing was much better then.

Blue will be mobbed on Sunday with the "snow in the backyard crowd" even though there will be more snow in their backyard than at Blue.

^What Schif said.

If you've ever skied Montage you would know that the Long Haul is not a well placed or designed lift. Montage skis like two areas one on top of the other as opposed to side by side like most areas. Novices and intermediates ski the top of the mountain. Better skiers ski the bottom North Face. If you want to ski top to bottom take the Phoebe and the Iron Horse. If the Long Haul not running is keeping someone from not skiing there, good. Less lift lines for everyone else.

You can get tickets for less if you buy on line and reload an RFID card. -
Those 8 yr. olds ski moss and rocks and come into the lodge and tell you how good the conditions are. I don't care how good your kid is in NASTAR in PA. They'll kick his ass. Those kids can ski!

No need to YELL. Ever hear of a place called Bear Creek?
-
Seven Springs does.

Sorry. My mistake. The WNEP Card has Gore but not Whiteface. That is worth it to me because a good friend has a place 20 minutes from Gore and I go there several times per year and it's hard to find discounts for Saturdays at Gore. If I wasn't going to Gore I would go with ski club Pocono Card. The MyChamplainValleyCard has Gore and Whiteface, I'll use that at Gore, Whiteface, Burke, Cannon, MRG, Middlebury, Bolton, and Smuggs. No Jay this year but still a great deal.
-
I joined the Princeton Ski Club last year for $30 just to get the card. You mail your application in and order the card at the same time. Contact info here http://www.princetonski.org or check out any of the ski clubs here. http://www.njssc.org Didn't do it this year. Bought the WNEP Card because it has Gore and Whiteface.

Those Hall lifts run forever. They've been upgraded and are inspected every year. No worries.

Magic does a great job of grooming. They have a lot of easy trails off the top of the mountain that are long groomers and they aren't crowded. Your wife would probably love Magic.
