can't wait for the temps to break tomorrow......I'm done with this summer crap!
-
of course!

I'm lucky that I don't have to travel a lot for work. I'm only 20% on the road....don't think that I could handle a job that req'd me to be always on the go.
-
slowly lol!!!!
-
I was in TX last week for a work conference. it was like 102 degrees there....blah. at least we got two rounds of golf in at TPC San Antonio.
-
um...yeah. we had to ski those conditions during the racing clinic.....not fun.
-
i love reading these mags for stoke.
-
it's officially ski season: the 2018 ski mag gear issue has arrived! lol!

oh, I'm not saying one can't physically mount a binding...I'm talking about understanding how to correctly set the binding such that the installation is in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions and tolerances. those issues are what help keep the manufacturer's warranty in place, among other things. more power to you if you are willing to take on that risk to figure out how to get the binding correctly set, getting the proper spacing btwn heel and toe piece, maintaining the proper clearances around the heel and toe lugs of the boots, etc. I'm sure there is lots to be said for being able to have such control of your set-up in order to precisely get the settings you feel is the best for how you ski and in what type of terrain you ski. for me, I trust the shop tech to have a handle on these things based on the information I provide. I say all this in the context that I am a risk-adverse person, lol!

um, most ppl don't know the minutia of how bindings work and how they are supposed to be mounted. that's why there are ski shops with ppl who are trained to do such things. for me, i wouldn't touch my bindings with a ten foot pole unless i got the proper training.

Don't need to tune your skis when you don't make turns!
-
i heard jh is dope.
-
yeah it is....

I've been loving the weather these past few mornings. it's even dipped below 70 for over-nite lows in SEPA, which is awesome for summer time.
-
gotcha. i def enjoy skiing with them. i was also at elk skiing with you all. my wife (tinymoose) couldn't make it for that trip unfortunately.
-
nice stuff! nopoleskier and carverjill were just out there as well. did you run into them while you were out there?
-
naw.....I just couldn't catch up to him, lol!
-
what? that's silly talk. I ran into a few peeps at the end of last season. anyhow, RR is on point about Blue Mtn being the most popular amongst PASR's. I do need to do a better job about trip reports....smh.
-
kinda. i guess you can't count those multi-ticket products the mtns are doing these days. we technically had a pass to sugarloaf when we went up there last april. but yeah, we used to have passes at bear creek but haven't done that in a few years or so.
-
tinymoose and I bought these passes. too good a deal to pass up!
-
maybe it was more a dig at Jackson frost itself. derp.

from what I understand, the cars have a limiter on them and will automatically apply the brakes at a certain speed.

agreed on this point. although, we still plan on going up. I just saw on FB that montage is offering $20 off day lift tickets (thurs - sun) as a Christmas special. I'm probably gonna hit that up. otherwise, it's getting slightly discounted lift tix from buckmans.
