no. don't go to buckmans for boots. ever. places i would go to are wick's in exton, alpina (940 boards) in white haven, salter's in eagleville, or billy kaplan in feasterville. i currently go to alpina. they carry dalbello boots....dieter does very good work. billy kaplan is excellent, but he doesn't actually sell boots.

i second the three penny taproom. solid. skinny pancake is a crepe place that's bangin' for b-fast. and if you are in the mood to splurge for dinner, check out kismet. it's a farm-to-table place that's top notch.

Montpelier is more central to those resorts. it's a quaint little town. I was there for work last fall. stayed at the comfort inn. don't stay there, it sucks. good bars and resturants downtown.

all new construction in the past decade or so has to be at least 10 feet above the 100 yr flood elevation. fema raised that by another 2 ft after sandy. its all those older homes that are screwed.

ya know, ski resorts aside, the entire east coast was lucky this storm hit on a weekend and not during the week. could you imagine all the car wrecks and related injuries/fatalities there could have been?

done with shoveling for today. on to, i mean continuing with, drinking....

just spent the past 3 hrs shoveling.....i'm spent, lol.

i don't doubt 16 inches are on the ground...but that could be wind transported snow.

ya for street parking.....both my cars are plowed in with 3ft snow banks. that's not gonna be fun to shovel out.
