we all know that blue will blow in marginal conditions.....i bet they will blow snow later this week and def next week.
-
soft snow conditions aside, the new skis rock. lots of speed, good edge grip and energy....can't wait to ski them on real winter conditions.

day one in the zipfit liners went very well. I had them initially heat molded in the shop when I bought them, but as you ski in them they continue to fit and mold. dude said it should take a couple of days' skiing to get the liner fit to stabilize. there was no real hard pressure points or excessive slop (with the exception of my right heel and instep...may need some, but not much, more cork/clay compound added to the right liner). my toes were nice and toasty warm (thanks to the neoprene and sheep's wool in the toe box), I didn't loose any feeling in my toes....no tinglies either. no shin bang either! towards the end of the day, however, the outsides of both my heels were a bit sore. looking forward to getting more days on the snow in these liners.

good first day back on the slope. we got to the lift around 12:45 or so...no line to speak of at the lift. snow was soft and spring like, visibility was poor at best with all the fog and mist. we probably got about 8 to 10 laps in...line started to back up when we called it quits. fake cheese nachos, burger, & chili was had for the apr

depends...canting work is usually extra.

kettle black?

nice and warm on the slope....not too crowded....but I forgot to pack our poles...womp womp

I use the term plaster loosely...it's a hard material. probably a hard plastic compound or something. whatever it is, it was formed by the weighted casting of my feet.
-
also, keep in mind that boots are the single most important piece of ski equipment....get the best fitting boot you can afford & spend less on other things ski related.
-
the ones he made for me are a molded plaster type footbed. he had me stand on a molding machine, thereby making a mold of my weighted foot. I'm very pleased with how it feels.
-
I just wanna make some turns...
-
we might stop by tomorrow....we're gonna be up there to get some binding adjustments done.
-
don't forget that you may or may not need work done to the boot so that it fits you properly and each shop has different rates for that work. custom footbeds could easily add $100 or more (depending on the kind of footbed). alignment adjustments, grinding or blowing out the shell, these all can add a bit of money to the base price of the boot. every one is different...you may not need much of anything else done with the boot. me, my feet and legs suck...so I need a bit of work done to my boots. good luck!
-
he has his own shop now. yeah, I know that feeling. my boots are canted as well. canting def helps with the timing thing.....not a cure-all, but it's a vast improvement. I found that after the canting was done to my boot my knees felt better after a long day skiing.

bc mark posts pictures on FB. bc themselves also do a good job of posting pics for mass consumption.

wireless infrastructure kinda creeps me out.....easily hacked.

IMHO...it's better to blow early to cool off the ground....makes for quicker base building.
-
oh yeah, I forgot about that one too....I've not skied I yet....not that there has been enough snow to ski it when I've been to jf...
-
to my knowledge...there's nothing like the elevator at other PA mtns....at least in bounds that i'm aware of.

utility companys are nothing more than legalized monopolies....sux.

i think part of it goes uphill even, lol!
