FWIW, i grew up in hazleton and i considered that to be in the poconos...

yeah, as far as the local culture goes...but from a geographic/ geologic standpoint montage is a pocono ski hill. i believe elk is in a different geologic formation than the poconos.

i would consider montage a pocono resort since it's on the western edge of the pocono plateau.....elk's in the endless mtns.

and last year it got really warm in early/mid dec......i'm hoping that doesn't repeat this year...

how are those new boots working out for you?

i had service electric growing up and i remember it sucking back then. and every time i visit my parents i'm reminded by how much it sucks still. we had comcast for a few years....their speeds are good and consistent. but their prices SUCK...very expensive for what you get. we switched to verizon FIOS for a better price. the only downside is that the FIOS "basic" cable pack doesn't include universal sports HD or the golf channel....womp womp.

well, the website is up...but they don't have a revised trailmap, no webcam. they do have a website up and running that explains the new ownership and what not.
