  1. stowe is my favorite mountain so far. not sure if i'll make it up there this year or not. we're planning to hit up ice face in march.
  2. update: so i ordered my selection of boots. went with the atomic rt sc 110 (all red), the salomon x3 100 cs (translucent grey), and the lange rs 110 (only comes in smurf blue). can't wait till they arrive
  3. i'd take bob over a goofy moose any day the week....
  4. yeah, i've been to salter's before.....nice little shop. i also heard good thing about his boot fitting skills. did you get your boots there?
  5. welp, we picked up our passes this afternoon. while we were there we too a quick tour of the base area....sweet diggs. then we walked by the lifts, checking out the trail layout, etc. i was pleased that it only took us about 40 mins to get there from our house. can't wait to make some turns there thanks saurus for coordinating the discount!
  6. correction....going up tomorrow
  7. just do snowbird/ alta
  8. we're heading up today to pickup our passes!
  9. @ paskier, PM sent.
  10. right now I have nordica beast 8's....they're a 75 flex. my feet & calves are low volume, so I guess it makes sense to go with a racing boot. I also have kinda long shins, so I can flex a 100 pretty easily.... we'll see how things turn out. I just hope I get this squared away before stuff opens up around here!
  11. went to bill kaplan in feasterville. nice guy and seems to be very knowledgable.
  12. mrs guitar and i had an appmt last nite with a local boot fitter and he confirmed my suspicion: my boots are too big and soft for my feet. i wasn't planning on replacing my boots after only 3 seasons, but i suppose if the boot doesn't fit properly everything else will suck. it was our first time to a real-deal boot fitter, so i didn't know what to expect, but i was really impressed with the process (it was actually kinda fun!). the funny thing was that i was fully expecting him to say my wife's boots weren't appropriate for her and that she had to get new boots....nope, apparently she picked right the first time, i didn't! oh well, i guess that's how it goes. the dude gave me a list of suggested boot models to try on and order. i'm looking at a few boots....the atomic rt sc 100, the salomon x3 100 cs, and the lange rs 110. let the games begin..lol!
  13. sweet
  14. they posted on their FB page.
  15. so it looks like vermont and co. are gonna get some white stuff tonite. i saw that stowe has already started to blow snow. stowe and sugarbush plan to open nov 19. good times!
  16. really? the pocono mtns isn't that big of an area....i bet most people on here have been to montage plenty of times over the years.
  17. patience is a virtue, grasshopper don't worry, as soon as it gets cold enough they will blow the white stuff quickly and all will be fine (or at least skiable)....
  18. nothing like a hijacked thread, lol!
  19. money....
  20. "sno" needs to change their name if they want to make more money and be profitable, lol!
  21. hey all....the wifey and i are thinking of hitting the Blue Mtn Tent Sale this year. is it any good? how does it compare to the Buckmans Tent Sale?
  22. seriously! that was the single worst move they could have made. there was no reason to change the name from montage mtn. poor branding on their part.
  23. maybe that's what he meant, but that's not what he wrote. although, i do that kind of stuff all the time, lol.....
  24. of course it's the same issue: it becomes the same issue at the bottom line. you could be making zillions of dollars from tickets, concessions, swag, etc but be taking on zillions +1 dollars in debt, you're still in the hole. i can agree with that assumption. someone (or some company) with a good business plan and the means to execute that plan would do wonders for montage mtn.
