I just called and they said tickets are full price but they only listed like 4 trails to be open. Can anyone hook me up with a discount ticket
-
lets hope once they open the weather will stay cold so we can get a legit park up before February!
-
if bear doesn't open ill be there.
-
i hope they open by Friday. i cant do boulder again.
-
im selling an off peak season pass. $120. bear creek sells em for $340 so its a good deal even if you only go 3 or 4 times. good all non holiday weekdays, and any day (weekend or weekday holiday or non holiday) after 4pm.

full avalanche gear is required. its also advised that you hire a guide. bears ski patrol is actually super chill. ive never been hassled by one. ive only received props.
-
Thanks for clearing that up justin. ill probably go to bear creek then because i know theyre cheaper than buckmans and ill know whos working on my skis. my fks came with mounting instructions and the hole pattern stickers so ill give that to them too. should be good.
-
so since nestors used to have the equipment the whitehall shop might have it? they want 75 bills just to mount them. ill probably call them today.
-
i dont really like how buckmans sends their stuff out to be worked on so i wasnt going to take them there, plus it would probably be expensive. the only reason im considering it now though is if they screw it up their more likely to replace my stuff.

sounds good. thanks!

ever since timberline was widened its way less fun. before that was the only time it would be suitable for a skier cross course. i know they still do the usasa one on it. sean- i would love to see three jumps there, but i really dont think there is enough speed. especially with how slow the snow was last season. on occasion the bottom jump was clearable by dropping from upper cascade and pumping the knuckle of the first jump. and im pretty sure it barely hit 50 feet at any point last season. I would rather seee smaller well built jumps then one bigger jump thats not really tthat well built and not even hitable most of the time. like say one nice 30 and another nice floaty 40. what i think is key for bear is for them to play around with their options of where stuff can go and how big it can be. maybe build a drop in for speed for the tubing jumps and use fence to direct anyone thats not going to the top of the drop in to hit them down the other trail.

who is rich rieber? is he from salters? i am going to check at the tune shop at bear and see if they know how to do it. kevin thomas offered to check my forward pressure for me after they are mounted.

the website says weather permitting.
-
where would you recommend i take them? i really dont want them to get messed up. im guessing you ride them.
-
DUB post. i picked up a pair of the orange rossignol fks bindings the other day. should be arriving at my door step today. super stoked on them and to not prerelease on every landing. cant wait to mount them up to new skis in december.
-
used to rock them. they ripped easy but that was like 2-3 years ago so that probably changed.

was up at the headquarters in NYC the other night and got the official word on the whole 6.0 thing. basically all their new stuff is just going to say nike on it. eliminating the 6.0 logo. with their main focus changing i guess it makes sense that they get rid of the 6.0 logo because it originally stood for the 6 action sports. theyre still going to continue to support the other sports but will put and increased focus on snowboarding skating and surfing. the nike snowboarding line was designed to have a little more of a refined style and the 6.0 line was designed to be super durable and just really get the job done. next year the two lines will be combined with some SUPER sick boots and outerwear that i think everyone will be stoked on. they really nailed it. this year and years past you could find stuff that said nike, nike snowboarding, nike 6.0 and even nike acg, but now all the lines will be combined together.
-
Thirty two is a solid choice as well. it really comes down to what fits best. though i highly reccomend nike i have a pair of thirty twos myself and thirty two does also make outerwear. i have a snowboard and do ride it sometimes but i wouldnt say im very good. check out method board shop in lafayette hill pa. dude there named sean can really help get you in a good pair of boots and they are really nice people down there. hes got thirty twos and nikes in. they have both brands in a few different models and colors and will heat mold them for you if thats what you like.. you can find them on facebook or www.methodskate.com. the facebook or just calling the shop is more reliable though.

definitely check out the nike vapen, its priced at 199 but definitely is not a price point boot. the liner has a lacing system that keeps your heel perfectly in place. they are heat mold-able, but they can be worn without it too. if you like something a little stiffer the zoom forces come in at only 250 and are heat mold-able as well. in both models the sole can be removed if you have a wider foot or like a little more wiggle room, as the cushioning comes from elsewhere in the boot and not the insole. Both boots are known to hold up very very well but one difference between the zoom force and the vapen is the vapen uses a softer foam for cushioning while the zoom force uses an actual air pocket.

i wont be able to go if they open then. ive never missed opening day since i started getting a pass there when i was like 12.
-
i hope they don't open December tenth.
-
yepp on december 2nd when they have the waking winter party and the store grand opening there will be a hike park if weather permits.

what youre saying about the shoes is true though, Nike 6.0 was used to appeal to a completely different market then SB. core shops are going to get a chance at carrying SB before say a zumiez or pac sun. Ive heard from very reliable source that its all going to flow into one brand just as NIKE. basically like the website reads “Nothing changes for the sports we’re involved in. BMX -as well as all the sports involved in 6.0- continues to be important for us as does our world class BMX team. No one is getting kicked off, none of our marketing initiatives will be lessened. Nike 6.0 and our BMX team’s involvement at the US Open of Surfing is a good indicator of this.” Said Kevin Imamura " theyre just neutralizing the other brands like skiing and bmx under the nike name. as for the quality of 6.0s. theyre a different price point then the sb shoes and meant for different purposes. they take imput from the team riders for shoes like the oncore 2 and braata, the oncore 2 had imput from garret and nigel and really turned out to be a super solid bmx shoe. while they have other shoes in the line that are more of a "kids will buy this from zuimiez" shoe like the oncore high.
-
not sure where on NS you heard that but its a rumor. they just signed turski. they are not getting rid of the free skiing team. they will continue to support the sports that they had supported, but it will be under the name NIKE not nike 6.0. they wanted to do it to make the shoes seem less individualized i guess is the word for it. basically SB shoes can be used for bmx and 6.0 shoes can be skated. basically youll be seeing less and less of the 6.0 or SB logo and more just NIKE. they've actually invested even more in skiing and snowboarding this year, which will show up later in the season.
