  1. we will be there tonight. my son will be doing nastar tonight
  2. my son is 9. the money isnt a problem to put out. his uncle is all ready looking to get him racing skis. the problem is we cant get up to the mountains on the weekends cause of work. our nights on the mountain are wed and thurs. so im guess im going to be stuck with private lessons unless there are programs on those days
  3. will anyone be doing nastar tomorrow night at bear that might be willing to watch my son do a run and tell me if he has what it takes
  4. i would like to get my son into racing too. i too have no clue as to where to start. he did nastar last week and loved it! i think i need to get him a private lesson with a racing person to see if he has what it takes to race
  5. when up in Vt this weekend on our way driving over to see what stowe looked like there were these 2 guys walking down the street with a t shirt on their head underwear on carrying a 6 pack. at the time it was like 5 degrees out
  6. we went to blue went to the lower part and the line was way crazy. no shot at waiting in a line like that. i didnt have to wait that long in Vt so we turned around and went to bear. it looked like everyone who had a snow day today was at the mountain. to many kids skiing pizza for me
  7. we just got back from bear. great skiing there. by the time we got there the crowds were leaving for home. they were blowing snow on timberline. just seems like a small mountain after coming off a trip from VT
  8. over all i was not impressed with smugglers. maybe cause my first ski trip was to killington and i just fell in love with there that the smugglers didnt impress me. i loved killington alot better. we did drive over to stowe to check out the night skiing there. from what i could it was just one trail and it was sooo cold there that we didnt do it. we drove there at night and again that didnt impress me as much as killington. we would like to try sugarbush. hopefully that will be the next place we hit on our trips to Vt
  9. the snow up at killington was great!!! and killington just WOW's you when you get there. it is way better skiing there then here! it is sooooo worth the trip. we didnt have a had time finding a room either. we booked our room the week we left. its a must ski for everyone who loves to skis i think
  10. ill be leaving for blue in about an hour. whos going to be there ? what are the good trails?
  11. on sunday we got up at 430 am and drove to killington from smugglers. as soon as we got on killington Rd it was snowing. it was very hard to see the top of the mountain. we were on the first set of Gondola's up to the mountain. at killington peak it was -11 to start the day off with. snow coverage was excellent!! great skiing.
  12. we skied smugglers notch on saturday. the temp on the way was down to -6. coverage there was thin, icy in alot of spots. this was my first time there and i was not impressed with it! the lodges were small it sort of reminded me of skiing back here. cool thing there was the midway points on the lifts where you can get off the lift mid way up the mountain. i have never seen that. but also makes for mistakes too. my brother and my son had to jump off the lift to join me cause it looked like a midway point but was really at the top of the mountain. my son loved that. he also liked the tree skiing. and they only have double chair lifts, that go really slow! over all i was not impressed with this place at all and wouldnt go back there again.
  13. i think ill leave the nastar all to my son
  14. i was there.. conditions were good.. a great skiing night!!
  15. its going to snow my thongs are hanging on the tree as of last night

  17. what mommy and daddy need to do is to teach the kids what and what not to do. my son skis with me or his uncle. we dont let him ride off alone. i know he would be find alone or with another buddy but we havent found one for him to ski with yet. but my son knows what he can cant do on the mountain
  18. welcome back daddy i have found that link.. thanks
  19. we are either going to smugglers, stowe or killington
