  1. I've got a size 10 boot from about 5yrs ago (aka no small footprint thinger), and I've never had an issue with toe or heal drag. So if you rock an 11 with a small footprint your looking at the same thing as me. Unless you have both binding set a 0degrees you should be fine. I'm at -12 and 15 and i'm fine.
  2. Sorry not a fan of adding unneeded weight to gain a whopping half inch of hight. I picked up a set back in the day just to see what they were all about and it just made my board feel like a tank, and unless I was laying down huge turns on sheets of ice they were pretty much useless. You're better off dialing in your stance and buying the appropriate width board. The new smaller foot print on the Burtons seems cool, but I have no experience with them. I'd like to try a pair on though, cause if they are nice I could bump down to a smaller binding. I'm right on the bottom end of a Large binding, and I basically have to ratchet all the way to the end of the strap.
  3. NO NO (swats with newspaper)! Bad Zaldon, go lay down.
  4. -Telluride -Crested Butte -Steamboat -Jackson Hole I'd also like to take a trip out to SLC to visit a friend. Don't know enough about the resorts out there to have a preference on which resort to hit. I also want to get out into the BC more and step up my game in that area. This season should be a lot better then last as I've got my finances worked out a lot better, but that being said... I thought the same thing last season.
  5. Funny thing is the song is actually about Bethlehem(born and raised) but it didn't rhyme.
  6. Quality over quantity has always been my goal. I'm also not going to sit and explain to you for the 100th time that CO is not just about riding for me. You obviously can't grasp the concept. Enjoy Allentown.
  7. "Warmer and Drier" hopefully that means light and fluffy snow and not much less.
  8. helmets are like condoms... they look a lot better on the store shelf then on me.
  9. The number if REIs near me is obscene. They are like walmarts out here. I think I can get to like 5 different ones within a 45min drive. And yes, from what I hear... it is actually hard to get hired at the damn places. Which boggles my mind seeing as most of the people I've dealt with had no idea what they were selling me. I'm guessing the drug test can be blamed for that.

Yea I never tossed it on here cause it was initially pretty much climbing gear.

    Spadout

Old news man old news, haha.
  12. I planned on bashing you for complaining about it since it is pretty common for resorts to not honor season passes around holidays, and most of the people who complain on here just come on here and complain and that is the end of it. However, you redeemed yourself with the last line of your post. So many people bitch and do NOTHING about it. I'm glad you are taking your business to another mountain. Be advised though, that this is common practice at resorts all across the country, especially PA resorts. Enjoy your new mountain!

    Bad Info

    Yay cotton!
  14. I was trying to get up to Winter Park Friday after work, and couldn't even get out of Boulder due to road closures. So I woke up early Saturday to Berthoud being closed due to avalanches. So I hung out and refreshed the C Dot website until they opened Berthoud back up. Today was a great day, snow was heavy in spots, but there was plenty of light and fresh to be had if you knew were to be. Bitched out on a drop I really wanted to hit since I was feeling a bit out of it early in the day, but other then that I think I rode pretty well.
  15. They just closed Lovelenad pass, and I just got a call from Glenn that I'm pretty sure was made from the lift: "Nick, here's the deal. It is absolutely POOPING here. Leave work early. Winter Park is the place to be for this storm, foot on the ground already." Trying to skip outta here ASAP!
  16. That is a possibility. I really hope to get to WP though as I have free passes to use, and this is my last chance. In other words, I'm gonna fight my way through that damn pass as long as it is open. haha. I don't care how long it takes!
  17. Yea, I'm not looking forward to the drive up to WP, but I'm going to head up friday night in hopes of avoiding the Denver cluster fuck saturday morning. I was headed to WP either way though as it is closing weekend. Should be a great weekend regardless of accumulations.
  18. Winter Park. Saturday and Sunday.
  19. Indeed, but i've been putting it off for about 2 yrs now, and i need to climb trad.
  20. Should make for a wild weekend!
  21. Red Bull works, but so does just generally being in shape.
  22. Prolly won't buy and snow gear until summer (unless I come across an absolutely astonishing deal on a new board and/or boots). Next on the list for me:
  23. and this all happens the weekend i visit PA...
  24. nice jordan... diggin the tgr tr
  25. Really, this is all the action this thread is getting? Well in that case let me add to the TR since zaldon left these details out. Maybe that will stir up some stoke. I think they need no explanation:
