  1. Just got an email that they are doing sunglasses now, 2 or more makes them each 19.99 and free shipping. Email said they have glasses the retail for 80-200 bones. So seems like you could pick up two expensive pairs of shades for 40bucks and save like 120dollars. Might be worth it and just turn around and sell a pair in ebay for 40 bucks. Thus free glasses.
  2. How many BTU would it take? Seems like it would be pretty limited with your highly evolved brain power.
  3. We seem to have a lot in common, want to come over to my house for some ice cream?
  4. I'd love to be enlightened. Go ahead, enlighten me.
  5. Fascinating. Simply Fascinating.
  6. You speak as though I don't know what a creeper is. I'm perfectly aware. I'm just glad you figured me out so fast. Now that we are past that I can start convincing you we should meet in a dark alley to play dungeons and dragons. Would you mind if I was the dungeon master? I love to be the master.
  7. Man, so stoked that in your short time here you already figured out who is who around here. Sleep with one eye open... dush.
  8. No, you just spend hours hunting down old worthless threads to revive. Guess you must have missed this one.
  9. links would be helpful... with links bringing up such an old thread would have been worth while.
  10. Thanks for the review. I'm going to be in need of a new board at the end of the season, and RC or not it will be a Never Summer. Right now my biggest issue is that they don't have the RC tech in any of their more big mountain boards. I know the SL-R is a solid all around stick, but I want something that is going to handle the pow and the steeps better. They have the Legacy-R, but I'm not convinced I need a mid-wide board. Let me know if you get it into any pow or on anything steep. Thanks!
  11. he's not kidding. 4 pairs of shoes for 40bucks including shipping. there are 4 on the way to my door. thanks for the tip.
  12. Really unless we get DUMPED on, there are plenty of trails that would feel pretty similar to what you are used to back east. It does not take long to get used to the little bit of pow that lies on some of the trails. Really don't powder let discourage you, you will have a blast out here no matter what. Guaranteed. Edit: Another piece of advice. If you have really narrow skis just leave them at home. Some of the resorts out here will rent you some nice fatties. Plus it makes traveling easier and cheaper.

  14. http://www.backcountryoutlet.com/outlet/gr...-Pipe-Skis.html most expensive ski on that page is 370 http://www.backcountryoutlet.com/outlet/gr...ntain-Skis.html 409 on that page http://www.backcountryoutlet.com/outlet/gr...eride-Skis.html 479 on that page
  15. I think that goes without saying. If that wasn't the case 99.9% of skiers and riders wouldn't be out there covered head to toe with exception to their face. My point here is that when you look at your average skier/rider the body part that is least insulated is their head, and their feet. Most people pick up on the basics of layering their body correctly, but fail to take care of their head and feet. I shoot for zero cotton, but that is just me.
  16. Because with how fat skis are getting these days you pretty much are buying two snowboards. Backcountry is a great way to get this years new gear. Click on the button at the top of their page that says "Outlet" that will have all their deals on older stuff. Usually 40-60% off, and sometimes more depending. There are also lots of great reviews of all their products which for someone who is unfamiliar/unsure it could be very helpful.
  17. There is a big difference between trying on an expensive piece of outerwear and actually using it while you're on the slopes. I'd be willing to bet these people who are cold are rocking cotton somewhere, and/or layering improperly somewhere. One thing that I have noticed. Is a lot of people just go out and blow their load on the latest greatest jacket, but invest no money in a good pair of pants/socks or hat/helmet. You loose an immense amount of heat through your feet and your head. If your head is cold at any point in the day you should reevaluate what you have going on up there. Same things goes for the feet. One last note, I've also talked on lifts with a handful of people shivering or sweating. I tell them they should close/open their pit vents and they look at me like I'm speaking Greek. READ THE TAGS ON YOUR GEAR AND UNDERSTAND WHAT FEATURES YOU HAVE AVAILABLE TO YOU!
  18. I think he was afraid to drive it through boulder.
  19. Core, maybe you'll get lucky like a friend of mine did a week or so ago. He was supposed to get a Sebring as well, and when he got here they didn't have any left. So they sent him out to the lot to talk to the guys out there. They spoke really broken english, and all he heard was that he was supposed to get like a mustang or something. They just told him to go grab one and be on his way. He was walking through the lot and noticed all the keys were in the car. So he takes a turn and stairs an h2 and an extera in the face. He said fuck it, hopped in the xtera and off he went. Never reported back to me as to weather or not they charged him more when he got back, but I'm guessing not. Worked really well for him as it was dumping the day he got here.
  20. core if your up for that it is def the way to go.
  21. I haven't hit up steamboat, due to not really wanting to put in the effort of driving that far. Copper and WP are both pretty solid. Resolution Bowl at Copper was freaking sweat when I was there last week. Copper is nice because it is right off rt 70. So getting there isn't bad at all. WP you get off 70 and have to drive another about 40min over Berthoud pass. On a sunny day I love driving that pass. It is absolutely breathe taking. On a bad weather day it is a slow go, and a bit sketch in spots. That being said I wouldn't make WP a home base. Might get cumbersome having to drive the pass in the morning to go to Copper, and then back over it at night to come home. I'd try and get a place somewhere halfway between the two. Frisco would be a bit closer to Copper, but from what I can tell has some of the cheaper places. I can't think of the name of the place we stayed last weekend, but it was only like 110 for a two queens on a Saturday night, and a basic continental breakfast. Either way, keep me informed. It be rad to meet up at some point over the time your here.
