i'm not going to have this battle, everyone has their preferences. i agree that there is a HUGE mark up. that is a given. all i was getting at was that somebody (not me) is going to come in here and defend Burton to the teeth and in a week all we are going to come to is "Well we can agree to disagree". I happen to ride a Burton, and I've been very happy with it that is all I have to say on the subject.

http://www.burton.com/RiderServices/eCatalog.aspx not sure why it stopped working. if that does not work for you. it is in the top right corner above the product search on all the pages of the site.

btw: - the burton website has an e-catalog. it has every spec you could want on every model board for 2009. find it here: http://www.burton.com/RiderServices/eCatalog.aspx -if that is hard to read you can request a catalog be sent to your home here: http://www.burton.com/RiderServices/Contact.aspx -if the catalog is taking to long i'd be willing to bet they'd answer all your questions here: http://www.burton.com/Community/CommunityHome.aspx -if you are turned off by message boards because of us then try this: info@burton.com -and if you no longer are interested in burton, i'd be willing to bet most other big companies offer their own versions of what i listed above. start here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=s...mp;aq=f&oq=

Just realize that this was probably directed at me. Well every week day I'll be sitting on my ass working, and counting down the minutes until I can get out and climb, ride, or kayak. Stick around though, it will make my days in the office much more amusing.

Dude is all over the place.

i'm calling troll on this one folks. we've got one thread (this one) where he is claiming to be an x snowboard instructor, and another thread where he can't even figure out how to size himself for a snowboard. seems to me like someone who held a job teaching other's to snowboard should know a thing or two in that area. either way there robby, enjoy that deal ya got. keep us up to date on it's performance though... just kidding please don't... but really please report back soon.

you're just a scrub. but really. my advice would be to pack that baby as full as possible and then decide what straps need to be trimmed. those straps you aren't sure the use for may be some sort of extra cinch straps for big loads. or may just be there to strap things to the outside. once it is completely loaded down all the strap usage should become apparent. if at full load you still have straps you can't account for, and can't possibly think of a reason to use them for, i say axe them. At that point you should also be able to see which ones are just flat out too long, and trim them. i'd leave the shoulder straps at full length regardless. I've found being able to open one side up as long as possible makes it real easy to get the pack on and off. That way you can get the length all dialed in while out using it, and just bust open one strap to take it off. Then the next time you use it you should be able to just balance the straps back out again and be good to go.

I ALWAYS make sure I buy a board that is solid on ski jumps. You should see my aerodynamic helmet I rock. Nah, Glenn is truely a panty waste. Always pushing his gear to the max on double greens. So def not experienced. Wow, def took the words right outta my mouth there. We all eagerly await your review. $180x4 = 720. You're right you didn't waste 700 dollars you wasted 720... 720 woot! yea! like the trick. never mind that totally makes it worth it then. shred it brah, just shred it. i SO wish i was like hip to the jive.

the one he is selling will not fit on a factory roof rack bar like you are describing, and i'm 99% sure thule does not make an adapter to make it fit. even if they did, by the time you bout the snowboard holders and adapters you may as well just order the one that already fits your bars.

a lot of hockey players wear no socks. grew up playing with lots of them. always worked fine. you are however more prone to blisters. check out point 6 socks, they are freaking sweet. here is a link to their snowboard socks, they have a "thin" pair, but i don't know how thin they actually are. they have socks for other activities that might be thinner. either way they are all merino wool so your feet are guaranteed to stay warm and dry even if they are thin: http://www.point6.com/men-s/men-s-socks/sn...ingMens-p1.html

suit case method on a side note, still the only trick i REALLY do well.

All I got was a new jacket and pants. So we'll at least be on the same page as last year, haha. I know your one board is broken, but what else is broken. I have an extra set of bindings that work fine. .

I believe he said you can't carve a pencil line, and it seems to me that he thinks Magne Traction is good, but does not like it personally.

seems like you guys know ur stuff. method, in your OPINION (im not looking to start a debate here, just curiosity), what would the advantaes/disadvantages be to going to a 6x1 bolt pattern. this gets rid of any ICS issues you address (at least from what i can think of). I'm thinking a 6x1 centered pattern would add a few more mounting options (or maybe not, i dunno). I just really like the idea behind the EST binding system, as my first bindings on my morrow mounted that way, and i loved how i was lower and really felt the board. I had my initial issues with ICS as I knew many who hated Forum's 2 slot rendition. So only having 1 slot seemed inherently flawed to me. Anyway, just my 2 cents. ps: i would totally pay more to get a board with a 2x1 pattern that you could specify where you want them. i understand it would be a manufacturing nightmare, but i've pretty much dialed in where i like to be front and back, and occasionally tweak my angles depending on the plan for the day. anyway, it be cool.

I was climbing in WY this weekend, about 2hrs outside of Jackson, and we got snowed on while on the wall. Word around the town was that Jackson got some decent accumulation.

i'd be shocked if they don't replace those under warranty.
