I shrunk all of them by 75%. So that should make it easier for viewing.

Yea I normally resize them, but I posted them at full res so you could steal them and not have shitty copies. On second thought, I don't know that it was worth it, haha. Either way enjoy the huge shots.

And all these years I thought they were for flowers. hmmm

Best guy to get in touch with is Chris Allen who runs Park 1260. Not sure exactly what he uses, but he seems to have it figured out pretty well. He is on PASR, but I forget his username. Here is his MySpace page though: http://www.myspace.com/park1260 . Hit up one of his rail jams, i hear they are sick.

yea, that is glenn's room mate and boss. sick helmet cam vid though!

"Damn girl, you're not that hot, you could at least say hi!" haha good times. Once a gaper, always a gaper. I just can't seem to get into the steezed out attire. Although I am thinking about this bad boy: always a good call

Agreed, I have my freeride board set up with it setback. I believe it is 10mm, and I'd like to go more. However the Burton bolt patter on my Custom has a big jump if i go to the next pattern, and it feels like too much for the length of board. I love center mounting my Dominant though. It makes riding switch so freaking fun and easy.

historically you should only matte with white, because black matte implies death. however, i always preferred black. in addition i always matte for real, and when i do i prefer to bleed mount or sandwich in glass. i consider digital pics a negative; until it is on paper it is just data and there is no need to matte. btw: your opinion of photoshop is a real shame. why not expose the photo correctly in the first place, and only use photoshop if there was a problem. adjust you white balance for the conditions, and change you exposure (slr). you'll have better pics in the long run, because you won't loose pixel info when adjusting them in PS. don't forget every time you save a jpeg quality drops. oh and fixing underexposed digital pics is actually easier then over exposed, so don't pat yourself too hard.

Just a heads up, I'm gonna have to pass on the jacket. I honestly put some thought into it, and I just can't get myself to drop money on any more snowboard gear this season. My paychecks need to start going towards kayak and climbing gear. SOMEONE BUY THAT JACKET THOUGH! IT IS MONEY! -
x3 i wish the resorts were staying open longer for you guys back home. sorry to hear it is almost that time again.

Well as I promised this weekend up at Winter Park I took lots of pics. Some serious stoke(hopefully) for all of you back home watching your local mountains melt faster then warm butter on a baked potato. We still have tons of snow out here in CO, and it is still snowing. So if you have the means to get here please come out and ride with us. I can put up people if I have enough warning, and possibly even score free or discounted tickets through work. So there be my official invite to anyone who wants to come out and shred some serious gnar. I will warn you though, Glenn has me highly addicted to the trees, so you gotta be ready to toss those silly groomers aside. Without further adieu... Glenn PMed me at some point Friday night to tell me that WP had gotten about 17in of fresh Friday, and that he was planning on hiking out to the Vazquez Cirque as early as possible. Since I had gotten back from happy hour too late to find out what Glenn's definition of early was I drunkenly packed my gear, waxed my board, and set my alarm for 6am. The early bird did in fact get the worm (in my case) as I was at the front end of the Boulder/Denver traffic rush to the high country. I happily called and woke Glenn at 8:15 when I arrived. Glenn had some snow removal to take care of so I set out for a few runs solo. While on the lift I could hear the avalanche blasting out on the Cirque, and I began to drool, literally. To my dismay however, I realized my drunken wax job was not of the best quality (forgot to scrape off the excess wax). So it felt like someone had smothered glue all over the bottom of my board. I made my way to Glenn's lodge and found a burly butcher knife in his kitchen, and used the back side of it to finish the job I started the night before. I then headed back out and Glenn called in the mist of tree run. I shot straight for the lift, and met up with him for a run through some trees on the Jane side. Glenn has been scoping a particular drop since my first runs with him a few weeks ago, and he decided that the snow was deep enough and nice enough to finally try her out. Glenn Peaking to Eye up for the drop (he is hard to see, but look for his goggles): Glenn putting on his game face as he preps for it: Me JUST missing his landing, but he totally landed it (hence why I missed it, cause i was watching him ride off and not the camera, haha): Right after hitting that drop we headed towards the lift to meet up with LD. Then it was up the panoramic lift and about a 45min hike out to the Cirque. It was a super sunny day (just ask Glenn's nose). Here is a shot looking back towards where we hiked from (the lift is WAY out of frame on the left), just past the first couple of lines: Spinning 180 from the last shot, here is Glenn and LD holdin it down: Here is a shot looking down one of the Alphabet Chutes, we took this shoot but dropped in way left of where this shot was taken (it was steeper and cooler looking where we dropped): Looking over at where we dropped. You can see LD on the left (sorta looks like she's a rock), we dropped just in front of her to the right of the rock line in the foreground: LD getting ready: Glenn's way of telling us he was ready (this pic makes the pitch look sooooo mellow, but lemme tell ya, it wasn't!): My post run shot, we dropped in on the right most section of the left shoot, just to the left of the rocks in the center: My post drop obligatory self portrait: Turning towards my left we have Glenn enjoying the soft pow: Getting ready to roll out I couldn't pass up the chance to take some shots of how deep the snow was. Now what you see is just from Friday's storm. Who knows how much is packed under there. Needless to say we got PLENTY of freshies on Saturday: We did a few more runs Saturday, but my camera stayed in my pocket for the rest of the day. Sunday we met up with some of Glenn's buddies who road tripped out here from good ol' PA, and they were not diggin the trees so much. However, Glenn and I did sneak off and made it back to that drop he did the day before. It was a lil more schwagged out, but he wanted a second decent. I decided I'd get some shots from up top this time, which paid off in some great shots, haha. Glenn setting up (backwards mind you): Glenn realizing he is backwards, and hand matching on a rock while flipping over (Glenn, I'm gonna have to get you out climbing, a simple finger crimp on this and you would have been flipped over in confidence, not that you were worried or anything, haha): Super stoked his hands didn't bust loose during that gymnastical feat: Just after the first drop, and about to hit the second: Well that about does it. Sorry about the large files, but the larger the pic the larger the stoke. Hope you enjoy! ***EDIT: PLEASE DO NOT USE THE REPLY BUTTON TO REPLY TO THE ORIGINAL POST. THESE IMAGES ARE BIG. WE DON'T NEED TO LOAD ALL OF THEM MULTIPLE TIMES! Quoting on photo at a time is understandable, just not all at once. ***

Yea totally wish I was there. I think Glenn and I actually saw people at WP wearing some of those outfits for real this weekend. Well done outfits all of you, and the parking lot antics was totally legit by the looks of it.

awesome! glad you are having a good time... look forward to more pics, and details when you return!
-
Just to add to your stoke, it is snowing here in boulder, and was snowing like a banshee when i left winter park. i know you are going to vail, but i'd guess they already got hit or may also be getting hit.

Yea man, that is the holga I have. I went digging in my camera bag tonight, but i left mine in PA. I'll have to pick that baby up next time I'm out. Make sure you cover that hole in the back with something! I used it for a project in a photo class in college. I took head shots of people, and then I slid the enlarger to the edge of the table and projected the huge image onto a random scattering of 8X10 paper that was on the floor. Then i processed the paper and pieced them together all crazy on a board. Made some awesome combos. Pretty fun old school pre-photoshop typ stuff.

Yea man, he always leaves me in the dust in the trees, but I'm getting better. I remember the first lift ride up with Glenn, we were about 2 chairs away from the top and he says "So you're good with trees right?" I'm glad I am, cause I would have been hurting if I wasn't, haha. btw: glenn i just picked up beer. -
Are you talking about a Holga? I have one, lots of fun, but every single shot is a total gamble since you really have no idea if it is going to be in focus or not, haha. Great for taking trippy ass pictures of landscapes though. I also love how there is a small hole in the back of them that exposes the film if you don't keep it covered. I solved that with some duck tape, and only pull up the tape to make sure the film is lined up right. I'm glad you brought this up. I think I might have to dig mine out and play around with it, although it may still be back in PA.

I think that is pretty much anywhere you go, a groomer is a groomer. If you come out here just stay in the trees.

Man the snow looks great. Looks like WP has a slight chance of snow everyday for the of this week/weekend. I hope it snows for my Saturday arrival (just not until I get there, people on 70 are idiots). -
Looks like you guys had fun out here. nice TR. Come back again real soon!
-
bummer dude, hope that heals up. weird how we were just talking about our lack of health insurance on the lift the other day. gluck with that!

Been trying to bring this place back to life so someone actually wants to buy it (besides doug).

I want pictures of you getting shit on... that kind of stoke would bring some mad vibes.

dude, i love the jacket, but i got to think on it. it is the end of the season. so it is hard to convince myself to buy new gear. not to mention i'm not a huge fan of white, but it is a good price. gimme a few days to think about it. if someone else wants it let em have it, but i do in fact need some time.
