Yea i am not really sure why, but maybe it is a good thing. As a mod i wouldn't mind watching this one burry itself into the depths of the PASR community where we can all forget about it until doug revives it 8 years later.

What was your best trick landed this year
nick malozzi replied to Sno Mountain Skier's topic in General Chat
Gap the flat on a flat down rail to a frontside boardslide; landed switch. It was very clean, smooth, and stomped the landing perfectly. It isn't a very rediculous/crazy trick, but considering this was the first year i got enough balls to do jump on rails and last season i only made it to the mountain twice i was pretty happy with myself. -
Can i get an AMEN? AMEN!

That's why it was only a warning my friend. No worries.

great pic, they still have great coverage given the warmth we've bee getting. i think i will be up later this week to make my last trips of the season. i have a three day hike between now and then though. so i can't make it up any sooner then thursday.

Consider this your warning for a personal attack. His ethinicity has no bearing on his opinion on this subject. Keep it on topic. As far as spinning on boxes, yes it is quite easy, and isn't all that cool. I still do it now and again though. I also wouldn't poke fun at someone who did it. If you want to do it then do it. This hatred in the park is not a good thing. Just worry about landing YOUR next trick and not what tricks everyone else is doing. That is just my opinion.

my boss has been flip flopping my schedule for the weekend, and i have yet to confirm when i am actually working. so i won't know until probably later today which day i can make it. ill get back to ya'll when i know. i should be up there one of the 2 days though.

if its a business trip take your own gear and find a way to expense the purchase of the case! you should be able to justify writing that off in some way.

just ollie, spot where you want to land on the rail, and land. keep your knees bent and ready to take the impact. your board will absorb a lot of it, but don't give it all to your board, unles you want to buy a new one. while on it keep your knees bent. this will keep your center of gravity low. also, some speed helps. you have to fight friction here, so if you ollie on BS with no speed you are just gonna catch on the rail and eat shit. i often find a little too much speed works better then a little too less. if you have too much it is easier to bail. not enough speed falls are a lot less controlable. practice practice practice

i believe i rode nam WAY back in the day. i'm from bethlehem. so i used to ride black track, and a few other smaller tracks me and my friends had out in the cornfields. they've all been plowed and developed at this point though. now i mostly ride up on south mountain or i head to jacobsburg. on a mtn bike of course.

thats crazy, i took my room mate up to snowboard for the first time and he spraned his wrist (sp?). he kept on going though for the rest of the day, and even went and delivered chinese food last night despite not being able to carry anything in that hand. lots of arm injuries... weird.

i MAY be able to make it. won't know until later in the week.

haha, well i was in there yesterday for a handful of runs. i wasn't in there as much as normal though because i was with my gf and i didn't want to keep making her ski through there and get bored. so we were alternating between the park and the diamonds all day, plus a few paradise runs because i brought my room mate to teach him to ride, and i had to check on him every now and again...

i saw it yesterday and have to agree that is was a bit of a waste of money. i did a good number of runs through the park and didn't see a single person hit it. i was feeling a bit shakey on the rails yesterday so i decided it was better for my helath to not attempt that guy. the parks are really nice right now though, all the hits were really nice and soft with awesome lips. i was overshooting like every landing early on because i wasn't expecting them to boot my so high/far. the new set up of the lower park is nice, i like it a lot. it is awesome cause you can hit like everything right in a row and set up a nice little run. makes the easier stuff more fun because even though it is easy you really have to concentrate on what you want to do on each element to make a nicely linked run that isn't too repetitive. conditions yesterday were great minus the HUGE amount of people who started showing up aroun 12-1. Although i got a bunch of good runs in early since i was there at about 815. i saw jeff and doug zip by while i was on the lift, but that was it.

Agreed... I will comment on the parks furthur after i head up on saturday (tomorow).

One of the reasons the ride may have faired better in the ice could have been because of the longer length. You have a larger effective edge on a longer board. And in my experience the m3s were a little heavy, but i didn't mind that once i realized hom much more of a beating it took and kept going. the weight may be due to higher quality materials resulting in longer life. im interested to see what m4 produces.

Very interesting.

Certainly let us know if they do so we can check it out. Sounds like they are working hard to get it ready if they are blowing that much and shaping/digging.

tough to say becuase there is no vote for rail oriented stuff. i'd say i have pulled my better stuff on rails because i am not as good in the air. so i voted 360 since in the air that is really my best.

for an all mountain experience and some variety i have to say CB is nicer. a lot more options, and it is nice how many different ways you can navigat your way down the mountain. the option of 2 quads is certainly nice because if one is busy odds are the other one isn't quite as bad. i like the double blacks at blue over the double black at cb. mainly because i fly down doubles so fast it is nice to have a little bit more vert. if your looking for terrain park go to blue. better food go to blue. cooler employees go to blue. i'd say try CB though. i had a season pass there for 2 years and pretty much rode there for about 4 yrs. so it isn't all bad. i just hate giving their management money because they pissed me off WAY too many times. that and blue is closer for me from school. in my opinion blue is better though.
-
for all of you who take 145 take the alternate routes. especially if you are traveling between the hours of 8am-7pm. if you are coming home after blue closes 145 is not bad at all though. so just learn both routes and go the alterante routes between those hours. otherwise i'd say take 145 because really early in the morning and late at night you don't hit too many lights since they are all trigered lights. so unless there are people waiting at the intersection you should hit greens almost the entire way. plus at night you can go a little faster with less traffic around, and odds are the cops won't be out as much.

why am i not surprised... a bmx-er from northampton. i swear every kid i know from northampton rides! sorry i can't take it off your hands. i moved from those bikes to full suspension mtn bikes a few years ago. much more my style. sounds like a good deal though.

I plan on getting there right around opening on saturday. I am going to take it easy friday night because i haven't made it up for opening in quite some time. I will be there with the new gf and her family. So i am not sure i can make it for the meeting time. If i can though i will certainly stop by. Keep an eye out for me though, and don't be affraid to say hi... Flat black helmet, brown/khaki iris goggles, hunter green/white jacket, black pants, white 06 burton dominant with white burton custom bindings with pasr stickers on the high backs. i also have long blonde hair so you'll prolly see that hanging out of the helmet. the name is Nick or "jib" as most like to call me due to the screen name. either is fine for me. later!

I have to disagree. I had an 03 M3 Cap and i beat the shit out of it and i can still pull that baby out and rip on it like the day i bought it. They are war horses man, and yes my model was produced while under the ownership of that oriental terriaki sauce conglom. And last i checked that man does not own them anymore. I heard that when m3 sort of went under about 2yrs ago he sold the company to some of the riders who still wanted to ride under the m3 name. Correct me if i am wrong of course, but i am pretty sure sauce man is out of the picture. Besides, he was only collecting checks, he had no say over where the company was heading. Simply an investor from the reading i have done.
