There is a saying... "If it isn't broke, don't fix it." I like the retro look of the custom. Especially the 154 (conveniently the size i ride). I love almost anything with earth tones. Looks like i will be picking up one to have as my all mountain board. That way i can demote my dominant to simply rails and put some more bevel on the edges.

After the wall ride. It was previously a tabletop, but now it is a set of booters similar to the top 2, just much larger.

Sorry, my sleepiness is affecting my judgment.

there are 100 footers at local mountains in PA? where is this and why did i not know about them?
-
Ah it works when you copy and paste. So they musn't allow linking.
-
Hey justo, when i click on that link i just get a page of ads, and no movie. Perhaps the link is bad or they don't allow outside linking?

I rode the park on saturday and the hits are sweet. The tables are built pretty well. With good speed they pretty much will throw you lip to landing with very little pop. So that is sorta cool. The first to booters are nice as always. The 2 big booters after the rainbow and flat to kink are sick. The smaller one tossed me WAY higher then i had exeected, but i survived. The gaps onto the rails are bigger, but so are the hits onto them. So that all works out nicely. Not really impressed with the rainbow rail. The tranny is a bit harsh, but managable if you really want to hit it. I'm not a fan of the new location of the battle ship box. I really liked going from the up to flat and then hitting the battleship right after it. Was a nice little rail area. Plus the fake little gap onto the battleship is a bit worthless, and i watched like 30 kids realize at the last second that there was actually a gap. So it just caused a lot of people to have to wait while they got themselves back up off the ground. One other complaint i had, and i am not totally sure if this is a bad thing, but... the flow of the park is now more of a "i'm going to hit all the booters" or "im gonna hit all the rail" if you want to go all the way through without stopping. So if your linking a run, it is a little hard to mix it up between rails and hits. It can be done, but it flowed a bit better previously. Oh and the reshaped hip is wonderous.

I don't think he was refering to people like yourself who is trying to learn new things. I think he was talking more about people who have no intentions of improving in there. People who just ride through so they can look at everything. That and people with little kids. Kids that are WAY to young to even come close to safely using any of the features within the park. So feel free to come into the park at any time. We all were in your shoes at one point. Like stated above, we had the 58 footer going previously. So i don't see how a 65 footer is so hard to believe. Instead of demanding a picture why not come out to blue and see for yourself.

Yea, you 2 would finish at the same time... AFTER ME
-
so what exactly are you waiting for? haha

i certainly agree about the nice long flat rails, but i look forward to ANY new additions to the park. especially since i have yet to try a roller coaster rail. so i would like to be able to say i am capable of hitting them. even if i can't get tech on it, it still would be fun. if i had the choice a nice long smooth 35-40 foot rail that is a decent height off the ground and has a nice wide lip to gap onto it with would be ubber sick.

If i didnt have class right until 6 on thursdays, and not to mention thirsty thursday is Kutztown's big party night, then yes that would be my way of saying that. However, since thursdays don't work for me it is more along the lines of my way of saying... "I'm faster then you! "

nice little backyard set up. 2 suggestins though... -plywood on the sides of the rail in case you come off it. sucks to get skiis/boards tangled up underneath there. -little less angle on the take off ramp, and give it some gapage man! haha
-
I fit in just finecause i'm not a real big guy, but i do recall them being a bit tight. The one good thing though is if you manage to get yourself in there you don't have to worry at all about the dude next to you giving you that awkward glance, haha.
-
absolutely beautiful. thats it... i'm out west as soon as i graduate. park leaves a little to be desired however, but it seems fairly well kept. i'd be able to deal with that, haha.

When is this storm expected to start dumping?

yea i heard burton hired the ninja turtles for security since they haven't been making tv shows too much lately. i just hope we never see them working a parking garage with a night stick.
-
yea u should be fine, i think all burton bindings come with a unniversal plate or a second set for oldschool.

ok i am too lazy to read EVERY post in this thread.... so is the park is currently closed? if so, when whould we expect to see it up and running again? any other rumors of new features (the 25footer has me excited, i was hoping they'd put one of those in sooner or later)? keep me informed please, haha
-
not sure i'm really digging that dominant. i like the one i have now much better.
-
It's ok we understand. That type of confidence is good though. Maybe it WILL push your racing further. Maybe you'll even get fast enough to keep up with me .
-
i'll be up there this friday, and then again for the PASR day on sunday as soon as the hang over wears off...
-
I regret to inform you all that i will not be there this week to shout obsene things as you take off for your runs. Tonight is the Keller Williams concert, and i plan to be there early and ready to groove... Next week i hope to watch/maybe beat your asses at nastar.

when i have that problem i grab an old towel and just buff the edges with it (put some force into it). It won't get it all off, but it will get enough off so that when you get to the mountain it won't be too noticeable while you ride, and by the end of the day 99% of that rust will be gone.
