this is why i don't go to camelback anymore. i never seemed to understand the decisions they made. doing something like this is a great way to piss off your season pass holders, because at this time of year sp holders are a majority of their business. on the other hand they never seem to give a damn about their sp holders. it is really sad. i really like the setup at CB and the size and what not. i just wish they could get it together in the offices.

I'm supposed to be at a meeting at work from 2-3. Then i just have to run to the bank and i will be on my way. I expect to be sitting on a chairlift no later then 4. Hope to see a few of you there!

its about shoulder length now. yea the lightning bolts were freaking clutch. i was dressing up as vanilla ice for spirit week. ah high school was rediculous.

well hopefully i will run into whoever is there tomorow. burton dominant, white custom bindings. black pants, mainly green jacket long blonde hair (not sure if you will be able to tell that though). just say hi. peace.

hmmm that report worries me. jeff is a total die hard, so it takes a lot to keep him off the mountain. well i'm going up there to pick up my season pass anyway. i guess i will just decide after i take care of that. let me know though if any of you are planning on going. as of now i am flying solo tomorow. so i will be looking for people to ride with. i'll be back again on sunday though, hopefully this time with a blonde ski bunny by my side.

I am finally going to be done with my finals tomorow as of noon. I am running to work to pick up a pay check and punch in for about an hour or two. After that i am on my way to Blue to finally pick up my season pass. Do you think with this weather it will be worth while for me to stick around and do a few runs? I really want to because they will be my first of the season, but i also don't want to waste my time. I could be back at my apartment celebrateing the end of the semester and getting smashed instead. So i guess i just want to hear what everyone thinks, and if anyone is going to be makeing the attempt at going as well?

i dont see a problem with that. there are many other equally worthless threads out there.

yes you def can't argue with the faux leather topsheet. when i am on that board this hippie actually feels comfy saying words like "steeze" and "fly". i def feel a bit more urban on that thing.
-
i like mine. nice amount of pop, but i don't have too much rail experience with it. i'm still using my old board for the majority of that sort of riding.

awesome night... sketchiness at Sheetz...

actually there are like 4-5 wawas in bethlehem. one on the southside, 2 on shoenersville, one on the north side, and i bet you could find another one somewhere. wawa is way better then sheetz. no questions asked. -
i love nestors. bought my last two boards there. they have always been very helpful and knowledgable about the products they are selling too. i usually read online reviews and descriptions of what i want for weeks before i actually head to the store to purchase something, and it always seems like the sales people at nestors tell me something new despite my research. they may not have amazing prices on most of their items, but their sales are usually very nice. i helped a friend of mine pick out her first board/bindings/boots, and she got all high end burton stuff and only spent like $350. It was all stuff left over from last season, but it was all quality gear. the new store in whitehall is smaller now, but it is pretty nice. i prefer to head to quakertown, mainly because the dude in the snowboard section with the dreads is rad. he always blows me away with how much he knows. only been to the loft once, and it was so a friend of mine could get a rental. so i have no opinion on the actual store.

yea my customs don't have the toe strap, but i can order them and install them on my existing bindings. the missions would have had the toe strap, but again they didnt have my size anyway. i was more then likly going to order the toe straps for my customs some time this season. sweet ill give them a try hopefully one of these days.
-
sounds like you got a good bargain. let me know how you like solomons i was checking them out when i was shopping for mine last year, and they seemed decent. however, the salesman wasnt too knowledgable on them and i didnt know anybody who had them. so i went with my original idea and got burtons. i wanted the missions, but they didnt have my size. so i settled for the customs (which are basicly the same as the missions, just a little less padding and the high back is solid with no cut outs. so there is a very minor weight difference). at any rate let me know how they work for ya as i am always in the market to buy new stuff.

To each his own, no worries. I just hear more positive feedback about a quality pair of step ins, thats all. I think i made it pretty clear though that i don't like either.
-
terrence stories are always welcome in my opinion. everyday i wish more and more that i would have followed you out there. i think most of the people who used to get bent out of shape are either no longer with us or have mellowed out by now. and come on man since when have you been worried about stirring people up? i say post away about it. maybe if you put it in an "other mtns" forum people wont get weird.
-
Then don't wait, lol. Us snowboarders will catch up... we always do . Just messing around. Thanks for the backup dharrisburg (ill use ur screen name since i'm sure nobody knows your real name). I think they are all a waste of money. I just think if your looking to buy something that makes strapping in take 5 seconds as apposed to 10 seconds get step ins and avoid the added weight. In addition at least with step ins you don't have to bend over at all.

Not to be a dick, but you asked for an opinion on a message board and you got it. Sorry i didnt answer your question exactly. You seem to have already made your decision on buying them anyway so why did you even ask? I think they are junk you obviously don't we can agree to disagree. I have to agree with the above post though. If they are so great then why don't you see any pros making use of them. I also see glenn's point on dispacing the preasure across your entire foot, and if in his situation where it sounds like he suffers from straps cutting off circulation then i think they are a good choice for him. However, i otherwise see no point in them. And Clickers. i'd get them and a good stiff boot before getting a pair of flows. It seems to me that (besides glenns issue with circulation) the only reason to get flow bindings is for quick strap in. So why add the added weight of all that binding if you just want to get into your binding faster? Seems like a waste. And i DO know plenty of people who have step ins, and high end ones and love them. and like i said i DO know people who have/had experiences with a number of flow models and various boots. So next time you ask advice in a message board try not to insult everyone who gives it to you. especially if you don't seem to even care about the advice and have already made your decision anyway.
-
Find me one owner of flow bindings who bought them for that reason though. I know a few people and they all say they just bought them so they could strap in on the fly. Then they get pissed off when i do it with my Burton Customs. Strapping in on the fly is do-able if your good. Plus the flow bindigs weigh like a millione pounds, and that is before that huge strap gaters all the powder on the mtn. I'm sorry, they are junk.
-
I'm not gonna bash DCs cause i have never actually hit a trail with a pair. However, in the store they have always seemed to be TOO stiff. Know i now a good stiff boot is what some people want, but they seem to go overboard. In addition friends of mine always say they don't stand the test of time. Now as for Flow bindings... don't even waste your money. If you are so lazy that you can't fasten two freaking straps stay home.
-
Flow Bindings= Heavy Crap DCs=Usually stiff
