1)Quads 2)They are the only poc mtn i know of with a messege board, a crappy one, but they have one. 3)They dont charge you for salad dressing in the caf. so when you absolutely need a few more packs of ranch dressing for your pizza its there for free. 4)The Bra Tree

Hey, how about a little help out there!!!
nick malozzi replied to Margaritaville Skier's topic in Camelback
that would greatly depend on time of day. you aren't going to save anytime on that portion of 22 between about 830-10am and 430-6pm due to rush hour traffic, and even noon gets a bit busy. any other times though you are prolly right on that. -
If you do find any info on a boardercross let me know. I've always sort of been interested in doing one. I am half decent in the park, but i like to consider myself pretty fast (ask atomic, haha). So let me know.

Yea 95-476 is def the fastest way. otherwise your going to have to shimmy your way over to 33 somehow, and i think you'll just lose time doing that. -
That is just the thing. The propper means have been taken and ignored. E-mails have been sent, and i am fairly sure letters have been written to no avail. Then we took it to the CB message board and only had topics deleted without answer. The closing early isn't really a concern to me, because i will just go elsewhere when they close. It is the issues they have that come about when they are open that bother me. No it dosen't make sense to lose money, i agree. However, how does irritateing long time customers help you gain money? This is also a never ending battle that many of us have been involved with for some time, and i fully expect little to nothing will change. However, i felt it needed to express my views. So this is where i end my involvement in this topic.

i tried getting one with my camera phone, but i couldnt get close enough and still feel like i wasn't a stalker.

The sad thing skii999, is that missy may be too young to even know what your talking about. haha.

My problem with CB is mainly the feeling you get when you are there. I always feel like i am giving my money to a corporation of shareholders that don't really care about the skiing/riding experience. The slides don't bother me, except when i get the feeling that things are being altered on the mtn to allow for more summer attractions (ie: earlier closing, elimination of portions of trails, etc). As for prices, i really dont mind spending my money. You can ask anyone i know and they will tell you i spend money like it is going out of style. However, i dont appreciate eating cold fries being served by people who are leaning against the wall and rolling their eyes at me. As for ticket prices, again not a big deal to me. However, if i am going to pay money to ride lifts, i want a pleasant experience, and the way they run lifts at CB is just pathetic. And no this dosent just happen on busy days, i have been there on almost empty days and they still cant get the lift situation right. Now with that being said, i go to places like killington, sunday river, attatach, etc. These are all resorts being run by a large corporation, and over charging on everything! Now why is it that when i walk up to the ticket window at a place like this they have people greating you and asking if you need help with anything? Why is it that their lift lines are seperated into lines (which are appropriately wide enough) for groups of 4, 3, 2 and singles? So i guess what i am trying to say is that CB is indeed a business that focuses mainly on profit, as well are the reorts run by the american ski company. So why is it that one company can care about the customer and one can not? Sure the american ski company is a much larger company, but that means more overhead. So with a smaller overhead why can't CB provide that same experience? Sure i may be harsh or what have you, but it is my opinion. So i plan on spending my money else where from now on (well unless CB can gurantee that hot liftie will be shoveling snow in hardly anything everytime i get off the lift, lol).

everyone says i have some in my head and that a few of them are loose? never had surgery up there though

No this girl wasnt rocking a hat., and her hair was like perfectly in place with no signs of hat head. So she wasn't wearing one earlier. I kinda remember a girl at the bottom with a black hat though, cause i said hi to her too, lol.
-
You aren't kidding, i saw a few others. However, it was her who had me standing at the top of the mtn watching her shovel snow onto the exit ramp. It was splendid. I may actually pay to go back to CB now that i think about it, lol

You'll get over it..... i did.

Oh i agree 100% it was def the nicest i have seen it. I just thought it would have been noticably wider. Seems as though what they did is working though. So thats awesome!

Whoa now, dont assume i favor Blue. I dont favor any mtn. However, i got really irritated trying to navigate through lift lines while people constantly ran theit rental gear into my brand new board (first time out with it by the way, and it is sweet!). At least at blue they use common sense and organize their lift lines. I was getting so irritated at people getting in the singles line and then ending up all on the same chair (why did u get in the singles line then morons!?). In addition, if i have one more person on a lift with me who waits to pull the bar up til the last possible second because they are on their cell phone, i think i might murder someone. On a good note though... Has anyone seen the hottie working the top of the quad? Good lord.

Yea rhodo wasnt too bad, but the beginner park was a mess. The landings weren't proportional to the lips, and the last hit put you into a trench if you actually could clear the table section off the tiny lip. When i cleared it i got all squirly cause of that trench BS. As for Rhodo the first hit was relatively nice, and i enjoyed it. However, the second one was way too long unless you bombed it like full speed. Thats all well and good if you wanna just do long strait airs. I put my knees into my chest though then i tried a 3 over it cause i couldnt get as much distance.
-
Yea it was rediculously crowded for the rest of the day too. I don't think i will be giving CB any more of my money anytime soon. I will say though that the hits in Rhodo were an improvement, but the ones in the other park were retarded. I love how its a beginner park, but they have landings that are death traps. It was also the first time i have ridden there pipe and it wasn't horrid. However i thought they were makeing it wider? Seems pretty much the same to me. At least if they did widen it, they didnt make it significantly wider. Oh well.

Get Well! G-luck with the surgery and the million and a half trips to the Dr for check ups and other various rehab activities!

Sorry i was only wakeing up at 9. I had my alarm set for 7, but i hit the off button instead of the snooze, and when i woke up next the clock read 8:55. So i knew i wasn't gonna make it by 9, lol.
-
Yea they took my name and address and phone number down when i was filming my buddies jump off this ledge between trails. he said since i watched them do it i was at fault as well because i wasn't doing my duty as a "spotter" and letting them know they were going off trail. they almost got my real name, lol. This was one of my pre-season pass years of course.
-
i woulda told him to go F himself. you payed for your pass and where ridding within the responsibility code. no reason why he should be wasteing your time unless you volunteered it.
-
No i actually did fine, but i only did one run down cause hiking back up it was just too much, lol. I love lifts!

You aren' kidding, that is some GREAT training. Get well missy!
