we arent saying it is any different, simply comenting on the continued use of a poor layout and design that they are trying to pass of as new with a new backgroud color.

i think just about any resort has that same idea in mind nitro. they all want to promote to the crowd that is willing to spend the most money, and that is tourists/vacationers. the only local friendly mountains around are small privately owned comunities out west with addition to the few scattered about the east coast. don't forget resorts are simply businesses at the core of whatever marketing vibe they send out. so even some of the big west coast resorts (vale, mamouth, etc) who boast themselves as "local friendly" and "an at home mountian" are all just feeding you that line to get you to buy their over priced lift tickets. i myself have never been to big boulder, but i have heard good things. however, i am not just a park rat. i love the park, but i equally love to beat atomic down a black diamond so i can hear him tell me i wasn't in control haha (sorry jeff, it was too easy). Anyway, maybe ill check it out this year when i am in one of my park rat moods.

lets do a little math.... professional designer=MONEY CB= owned by cheap ass shareholders with no desire to reinvest profits CB+Professional designer= MONEY owned by cheap ass shareholders with no desire to reinvest profits. lol so when you add the two it just dosent work!
-
couldnt have put that better myself chris, hahahaha

well they prolly arent getting money for the website by advertiseing on the site. however i am sure it was in a contract somewhere with subaru that they had to advertise for them on all media outlets in order to receive whatever large lump of money they got. so yes, in turn i guess it helps pay for the website, but whate i am saying is i am sure that they are getting enough money from them that the website isn't the only reason it is advertised on there.

that entire site is horrid. fonts are putrid, color schemes are totally off, and the addition of red is just nasty. not to mention it is very porrly organized. one word daves FLOW CHART (ok maybe 2, lol)!
-
u prolly could, but i don't think you'd want to do that. since it is wide enough for a board, the skiis would just bounce around inside of it and hit eachother. id be more then willing to sell it to you anyway, haha, but im not gonna sit here and lie to you, lol.
-
yea dude, if i was a solid skiier like you (or maybe even a skiier at all, haha) i'd be trying to get on a team like that. that would be a blast, and ski999 is right about the frat party shit. its much more fun to party else where if the option is available.

Ouch, is it a general practice to wear a cup while racing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> whats the equivlent of a cup, for girls? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i dunno if it holds true for skiing. but i know that the girls who play hockey wear what they call pelvic protectors. they arent as "cupped" as a cup. more like a thin flat peice of like triangular plastic that just covers all the important stuff. lol...... is that what the girls use when it is that wonderful time of the month? cause i can't imagine it being comfortable wearing a mens cup, in addition most girls are too self concious to walk around with an unsightly bulge coming from the crotch region of their race suit. lol. im sure those race get ups dont exactly hide something like that, haha!

ok, the pictures should be enough for me to make a decision

i didnt mention either of those two for the simple fact that i have never rode eaither of them. so to judge them would be unfair.

CB is pretty beat terrain park wise. they made a small comeback on the jump end of things about 3/4s of the way through the season last year in rhodo. the first hit was pretty gnarly, cept if you were any good you were clearing the landing almost everytime. rail wise they are obviously behind. they installed a flat box that was pretty weak except for learning new stuff on. they also put in a flat down box that had potential if you got tech on in. CBs pipe as always sucked donkey dick. i didn't get a chance to ride blue last year, but i can tell you that the sidewinder park as of the year before was better then both of CBs parks this year. and from what everyone told me, it was even better this year (rails got fixed and everything was taken care of a lot better according to friends). Mountain Creek is the hands down best park in the area if you are willing to be in NJ with all the NY tourists and lack of parking. So if you want to stay in PA hit up blue and i think you'll have a pretty good time.... oh yea, and.... welcome aboard bro

give me more details on the drum set. i may know somebody who is interested.
-
haha is that really the law? never stopped me.

"there ain't gonna be no jib tech" nice double negative. so i am assumeing he meant "there isn't going to be and jib tech help". or something like that... rumor...hyped PR rumors....and the vicous cycle has begun again. this is an early one, so i am wondering how outlandish the fall rumor is gonna be?
-
Probably: 04 Never Summer Evo Burton Bindings(not sure which pair yet, the burtons i have now are fine, but i may get a new set). 32 team 2 boots
-
we care so much because it (at least in my case) we realize how nice of a mountain CB is and hate to see poor management destroy a nice place. i also can gurantee you i will never be up there this summer. i have never gone to camelbeach and dont have any plans ever go. we all want better jumps and rails, and this is the reason i will be frequenting blue mountain next year instead.
-
i have no real fact, but i bet is that it is just a PR rumor that they are using to stimulate some buzz about the riding community. they do it every year by telling us they are putting some totally sick feature in, and then they are real secretive about it until like the week before the stuff goes in. they did that with the new rails 2 years ago, and the boxes this year. prolly just more hype again over a minor improvement.

my green is going blue as well

you got it. keep you weight on the uphill/back leg. there isnt a ton of friction involoved with this type of stop, it is mainly just the sudden trasnfer of momentum. i really wish i could explain it better, but it is just too hard without being able to visually show you. and it can be done at high speeds, you just have to be more prepared to absorb the momentum, and have good balance in the extreme case that you may still keep going in the forward direction. OH! and yes, it is VERY similar to the hockey stop on ice, just with the wider stance and no friction to help. sorry for takeing so long to reply, i just got back from a week at the beach. later!

ok this is advice coming from a seasoned hockey player with and previous aggresive inline skater. i have come to know that the "t" stop is good when going slower, but lets be honest, that is a fairly hard position to hold while going very fast. and dont rely on it when u need to stop suddenly. thanx to my inline hockey years i learned a variation of the hockey stop that we do on the ice for inlines. you basicly turn and lean all ur weight on ur trailing leg. let ur leading leg swing hard in front of you and keep a little presure on it. it is a very quick and abrupt stop. the front leg extended keeps u from catching and flying head first. the whole principall behind it is to just abruptly take ur momentum forward and thrust it to one side which is then absorbed by ur body causeing u t stop. it works on all surfaces and is very reliable. it also is the least dangerous once u get the hang of it. cause lets be honest. if u "t" stop and ur front foot hits a small crack or rock....ur one hurtin dude or dudette.
-
i get great reception with verizon at CB. i find it hard to find places verizon dosent get a signal at. i know a ton of people who say veriozon's signal service sucks, and then i find out they are using a 3 year old phone. verizon works great as long as u replace your phone every so often, but that is the same for any company. if ur phone blows it dosent matter what company u go with.
-
but i have my ways.... this isnt the best, but u may be able to work with it if u really have nothing better to do...... it seems as if jeff "removed" that picture from my post. i will repost it later
-
i dunno whats scarier.... that many of skidudes face at once, or the fact that u took the time to creat that.

havent been in there in two seasons. the last time i was in there they put on a stomp pad on for me and told me it was good enough adhesive to go ride on it right away. 2 runs down i look at my board and it is gone. i have a few buddies that frequently get the 5 finger discount though. not me, im a good boy.
