  1. i came upon that too. I was ahead of you, no police when I went by.
  2. Got first chair at Blue this morning. Very low attendance at the start, no line at six for the first 5 runs. The trails from paradise over to lazy were all nice, rotd was upper switchback as it had no features except the wall, so it was like a giant swichback, which worked out well as switchback was hard and icy in the a.m. Razors got a little cookied up on the headwall. Crowd was building by 9 a.m. Tubing was doing well. Last run on paradise at 10:30 was crowded, making for a living slalom course. Fun morning.
  3. Very few people on the hill today. Barneys was ROTD, the bumps were good, soft with minimal ice between. Happy switchback is open. Everything I skied today was ok, the warmth softened just enough of the top layer to make it decent. The ice patch at the bottom of the chute looks to be 20+ feet in diameter. I saw GSS several times, we were a half lap apart.
  4. The cold temperature, the wind chill, and the snow making guns blowing across the six and on some trails conspired to make today quite cold. Limited open trails combined with many skiers/borders caused skied off conditions on Paradise and Lazy earlier than usual. Most of the right side of the first pitch on paradise was a patch of ice by 10:30am. Bumps were widely spaced with large ice patches between. Should be a lot more trails open this week, Large amount of snow on Upper Sidewinder to be pushed out. Large group of PASR's in the lot when I left. Awesome day.
  5. At blue, first six. Main street was ROTD. Bumps were slightly slick.Saw toast. Paradise full of large snow whales.

    Wow tree wells.
  7. Challenge lived up to it's name by late morning sunday. With razors closed challenge got skied hard. The skier/Border cross event looked pretty well attended.
  8. Looking forward to the T.R.'s.

The six was down again this morning, this time because they had to drain a lake at the entrance chutes. Razors was closed I guess to save it for racing, lower Sidewinder was closed, and both glades were closed as well. Trails were surprisingly firm to start but everything softened up quickly. The snow on Upper Sidewinder was very nice, way better than on Tuesday. There were a couple of grass spots on widowmaker, dirt showing in the troughs on Barneys, and some random brown spots here and there. The bumps on nightmare were good especially the line on skiers right. Nice day overall.

    What's a dosh?
  12. Tomorrow will be a personal day. Should be soft conditions, good for my Bushwackers.
  13. I'm with you.
  14. I'll be there tomorrow at opening bell with the other people in my age group.
  15. Skied yesterday open to 11:30. Most trails were pretty solid to start but softened a bit by the time I left. I was surprised to see that lower sidewinder was not open, a groomer was working on it all morning. The six was down for repairs at opening bell but opened by around 9am. Interesting that people were bitching about the six being closed since hardly any people were there, with no wait for the quad. It looked as though I was going to have to drop into 4WD to get out of the parking lot when I left it was so muddy.

Just looked at the cams at blue, there are a lot of people there, looks like a weekend.
  17. You live close to blue so can I assume blue has gotten upwards of 18 inches too?

I like the moguls on nightmare save for the hole that sometimes develops at the bottom on the right.

They would bite if you skied them.
  20. My boss wants us to come to work Saturday at noon for snow removal, right in the middle of the storm. I don't know what he is smoking but it must be good.

Just back from an A.M. session at blue. Snowmaking on dream weaver, upper/lower sidewinder, and random intersections. A groomer was working on razors all morning, challenge is filled with nice whales in need of groomer work. Snow was great on paradise, tut's, lazy mile, main street, come around, widow maker, midway, chute and falls. Barneys bumps were a little icy, terrain run was a little rough. Switchback opened midmorning, I was able to score first civilian tracks. The opening run on switchback had decent conditions, when we went back after a few runs on other trails it was top to bottom, wall to wall death cookies. Real good day. JADIP
