I was at blue from open to 11:30am, the six and the quad were spinning so short lift lines all morning. Paradise was open with good conditions. Snow blowing taking place on challenge for a couple hours. Groomer on razors and razorback pushed the whales out now ready for a finish groom. From the bottom of the first headwall it looked good, pretty much edge to edge coverage. From the bottom of the first headwall to the top there was coverage from skiers left to 3/4's of the way across the trail. All the other open trails were in nice shape with good snow. Lazy started to get a little heavy on skiers left but not bad. Barney's had freshly seeded bumps that needed some traffic. Toward the end of my session paradise was getting crowded. Interestingly, it was large packs of people with empty trail between, so you would ski alone for a minute then catch a crowd of people and have to thread your way through, it was fun.

Skiied blue from open to 11:30a. Thin crowd, first 5 runs no line at lifts. Barney's is bump less. Main street, tut's, falls and lazy in good shape, midway decent, come around and burma hard as concrete. Blowing on paradise, razors, and little gap along with random spots here and there. Glad to be back in the valley lot.

Wasn't it originally 15 commandments but Moses dropped one of the tablets?
That was the funniest part in a very funny movie.

I was at opening bell for opening day 2.0, very surprised at how few people were there. The first few runs had virtually no wait for the lift, the lift lines never got too crazy, especially after they opened the Burma chair. Lazy was decent, main was death cookies, chute was hard and smooth, everything else was pretty good. Lots of snow being blown, whales on tut's and Burma. Met up with Angry Hugo on my way out at 11:30a. Good first day, happy to be back. Finally got to ski my new Latigos and was not disappointed.

As I said toast posts the best photos on PASRwouldn't be surprised if they do.
just got back from a quick evening session. it was alright. as expected. Jeff's parking lot beer was good. Met up with him, Justo, GSS, MBike, Indiggio. felt just like last year.
Saw a car from NJ get stuck trying to drive down Shuttle - had to get towed out by a groomer. LOL.

Are those season pass prices?$175 one way or $325 round trip. Need to buy a ticket in advance. Good luck finding where, though.

love smuggs-1 at the mountain for 1st trax with about 5" of new powder and foot deep drifts. No wind, overcast. Skied the sterling lift line t2b as well as a few other trails that were open. No crowds or waiting in line = 7 morning laps. Might go out again after lunch.
They were blowing on the base of Madonna, I expect to see that open in the next few days.

awesome. looks like they blew on homestretch for a second or two.Blowing on Central Park.
-
Hope they get open to the six, I like the valley lot better.

Toast is the best on snow/on lift photographer in paskiandride. the best was the picture of the ski patroller that wiped out uder the six out of bounds.

Blue knob has great terrain but there needs to be a lot of snow.

Says the guy who drunkenly admitted to visiting A-Town's Adult World and Playtime Boutique's video booths for their glory holes, claiming it wasn't gay because "I don't know who's on the other side." True story.
Doug, my bet is that it was never a girl on the other side of those walls.
And I miss ski9, too, from the ASRA days. And that Metz kid who immitated the tard from that old TV show.
One post and you throw a haymaker like that, wow!

Says the guy from Jersey. Yeah it's not the Wasatch but I'm pretty proud about having 1100 vertical feet 15 minutes from my house and multiple other ski areas within a 20 mile radius. Plenty of states (including New Jersey) don't have that luxury.
Wish I lived 15 minutes from the slope, I would ski under the lights again. Haven't skied at night for a long time, I miss that. My ride home is too crazy after dark, I seem to attract deer at night.

They need to blow on tubing. They make so much money there. They have had to cancel this New Year's Eve tubing parties before because of no snow.
Doesn't bother me as long as it brings in money.
So true, no money, no blue mt.

Friends keep telling me how great okemo is so I feel like I should go, but looking at the trail map and you tube videos it looks kind of mellow.

Looking at a trip in February in Vermont. Up in the air between Bromley, Magic or Stratton. Will probably do Bromley and Stratton. I am concerned about the lack of Grooming at Magic for my wife.
Killington during Spring Break.
Stratton does do a nice job grooming.

Nice scoot, awesome flames, looks like a nice array of accessories. That bike looks all day comfortable. Good luck with it.

Logs poops or poops logs?

this is just my opinion, but dont bother buying a diesel truck for a personal vehicle. Diesel is costing more than gas these days, and the savings in mpg will quickly be swallowed up by repairs. Diesel trucks are really expensive to fix. Definitely do not buy a ford with a 6.0 or 6.4. the market is flooded with those because they all suck. i have a couple of them here, and it takes a fleet of mechanics to keep them running, and they are horrible on fuel. they tow stuff well, but thats about all i can it give kudos for. Chevy's duramax is better, probably dodge's cummins is better than chevy. Your budget is pretty low for a diesel truck, with that money you would probably end up with something with a ton of miles on it.
Long story short, buy a gas engine.
FYI - you will need a CDL class A to tow a trailer over 10K GVW. And just to make that clear, if you have a trailer with a GVW of over 10K hooked up to your truck with nothing loaded on it, you still need a CDL. Are you going to get caught? chances are slim. But i dont think you want to see the fine for that one.
+2 A fellow coworker always buys used diesel trucks and has nothing but trouble with them. Compared to the several trucks he has had to buy and the amount of repair work he has shelled out for, he would have saved money buying new.

No they are on it. The fairing hides them in my picture, they aren't sky high, about 14".
