  1. Cant wait to drive around for 5 hours at work tomorrow night!
  2. Second!
  3. it was in pine hill, and is now a golf course. Gloucester county college, camden county college both have some glades with about 70 feet of vert
  4. ^thats the route i took, 22 was a clusterf*ck because of the weather i think. the schulkyll was a disaster. I dont understand, it would be fine if people would learn how to merge. There wasn't even that much traffic merging onto the road, yet at every interchange theres about a mile backup so 5 cars can merge in. WTF. But, as said before, the snow was incredible today. It did take about ten minutes to get my RFID pass for some reason, but i forgot about the traffic after riding about 20 feet. Main street was $$$. The lips in the park were nice, but the landings were awkward. I still think come around makes for an awkward park
  5. ill put up $
  6. So who likes bell and who doesn't?
  7. Bell+peaks fangun treatment/park investment=teh sex. I love belleayre. maybe peaks would incorporate highmount, interconnect the two, and make highmount the all park area like carinthia at snow is. i can dream right? but seriously. Bell is not going anywhere. best place in the catskills.
  8. Haha i remember that halfpipe. it had no vert at all so you would just launch out of it if you actually attempted anything.
  9. ^agreed. It is a priority to get out to the knob this year. Springs? maybe for a night session after the knob.
  10. They have been posting photos on facebook of rails they bought from planet snow tools. apparently they hired a park crew too. I will probably check it out on their college night when lift tickets are only 15 bucks.
  11. It is going to turn out terrible. I use my iphone4 as a GPS, so i have a suction cup mount for it. I decided to test the camera's quality by recording a POV drivethrough of Camden on my way to school. The slightest bump caused the worst case of jello cam i have ever seen. It is fine for shooting handheld crap on the fly, but i doubt it would hold up to skiing well at all. However, this little contraption looks promising. It allows for the attaching of various lenses, external mics, and supposedly helps with vibrations. samples look good. http://www.wantowle.com/
  12. i might head up, depends on how much schoolwork i get done by then.
  13. Register for a full load of classes somewhere, get the registrars letter right away, then drop classes and get full refund.
  14. Thanks for posting. Just grabbed two.
  15. From what i hear, the tents will be going soon as well.
  16. <3 belleayre. Cant wait to get back up there this season. Possibly going to try plattekill as well, since they put bogo's in a coupon book we get in south jersey
  17. campgaw is super tiny, but really close to nyc. it was only about 15 minutes from montclair state when i went there. Apparently they have a park crew now and the park is pretty solid for what it is. It might be a possibility for you for some quick night turns or something. It may be small but i had a good time there.

  19. On the topic of the replacement of passes, for those who have done it, is it a long process? or do i need to show a receipt and all that jazz, because the pass i bought in march does not have a date on it.
  20. Let me get this straight. So even though some of us already have passes, we have to get them replaced, yet blue is not sending emails or anything. So if i did not read this thread, opening day i would try to get on a lift and be denied, possibly holding up a line and feeling like an all around douche nozzle? cool beans. Edit:Just saw that the scanners are only on the quad and sixer. But still, they should at least mail out the replacements/notified people who bought passes at some point over the off season. It is not like Barb was sitting at her desk and decided to install the system after lunch on a whim.
  21. Wow. That surprised me.
  22. I had a 2005 NS evo, and even though i loved it, as you said it was pretty damn heavy. I went into EMS (gotta love the student discount) a few weeks ago and played around with this years evo, and its lighter than my rome artifact, and i nice mid-flex, so I bought it. Im pretty stoked on riding a NS again as well, and if i can get some money together i may get an SL sometime after christmas as well. For bindings i picked up some union contact pro's, which feel pretty legit.
  23. I am assuming the state run ski areas (Gore, teh face, and Bell) have budgets set aside for snowmaking. So its not like they are continuously sucking money from the state each time they blow. lol I said suck and blow in the same sentence.
  24. Got my pass back in april. Earlybird student FTW.
  25. ^Generally speaking, mommy and daddy usually pay for kids stuff in high school. usually, college kids are balancing working and paying bills. i know that's not true across the board, but its mostly true. i work 14 hours a week, i cannot work anymore due to course load, and still have to pay car insurance/car payment. the discounted pass helps a lot (from mountains that will sell me one anyway, thanks for a lame policy jfbb)
