HAHA funny thing is miguel, method is a snowboarder.
anywho, sweet pics. ive always wanted to hit that but there was never enough snow when i was there.
woah wait up. you actually go to bear to ride non park trails?
we need a freakin roflcopter emoticon.
the snow in the woods off timberline has a greenish hue to it...or im goin nuts.
what screwed me up the most was not having my weight centered over both of my feet. center your weight, put a slight amount of pressure on your heel edge, pop off (this is key), and look behind ya. look between yer feets to land right. the key to staying in control during the spin is the centering of your weight on the pop off the lip.
and dont prespin. or else.
at the beginning of the clip, the girl is behind him. maybe he saw her, maybe not. but it does look like their shouldve been some barrier between the two trails(it looks like the girl merges from another trail)
yeah the website says 49 for a weekday pass. id pay that if southern sojourn was open but of course it is not. they did used to have a student discount, i remember paying 19 dollars once a few years back.
i was thinking the same exact thing. the fact that its harder to get to because of the flats is better too. its just that cascade->tubing or cascade->lower black bear is probobly a bit longer than timberline
wow. mark that sounds great.
and to clear things up to everyone else...my comment about the continuous snowmaking was thinking that it may be for staying open later
i was checking out blackbears cam and it looks nice. i was planning on going up until i saw the carnage. many people just riding over the lips. oh god bears cams on the weekends are top notch entertainment. kid tries to stop at the top of the lip only to get blowed into. I LOVE IT.
i chcked the place out on google earth, and it looks to have some fun trails. is there snowmaking? its a shame someone had to be a dildo.
edit:looks to have some decent vert for a private hill-500ish
