i was thinking the same exact thing. the fact that its harder to get to because of the flats is better too. its just that cascade->tubing or cascade->lower black bear is probobly a bit longer than timberline
wow. mark that sounds great.
and to clear things up to everyone else...my comment about the continuous snowmaking was thinking that it may be for staying open later
i was checking out blackbears cam and it looks nice. i was planning on going up until i saw the carnage. many people just riding over the lips. oh god bears cams on the weekends are top notch entertainment. kid tries to stop at the top of the lip only to get blowed into. I LOVE IT.
i chcked the place out on google earth, and it looks to have some fun trails. is there snowmaking? its a shame someone had to be a dildo.
edit:looks to have some decent vert for a private hill-500ish
ill be up with another PASR. i probobly wont get there until around 330- 4 though as one lanes of 476 north is closed for 10 feet to fix an overpass and no one knows how to merge correctly , but i do plan on staying all night.
no offense taken. its not alot, but ive always just ridden smaller boards. i think that a larger board would be better for a variety of thigns as well though. im on a 152 now
make black bear the same as it was at the end of last season. most fun park setup at bear ever.so much flow. and where the hell is the good wallride at?
so this pipe is all snow? seems like a waste of money/resources to me. if it was dug out, it would make more sense.
i stopped at snow on my way home from relatives in dunmore on saturday. i was impressed by the amount of snow.
st pattys day has potential as well. bear will close around the 20th of march. boulder sometime in mid april. and sno could easily last just as loung as boulder.
so we still have about 2 months
