  1. Pretty cool video showing the changes at JFBB. They did more than just replacing a ton of lifts. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1311420689606791 (facebook account not needed to watch) Hopefully vail will install lights at jack frost. Having to drive from one to another for night riding is stupid.
  2. I’ll take the long haul over the doubles at blue knob. I’m pretty sure they just let the local meth head run on a human hamster wheel for a free season pass to power those things. Not to mention I think the haul ropes needed to be shortened years back, so much slack and bounce even when not loaded.
  3. It seems strange that spring would buy something like that, especially when their lifts look like they are about to collapse. I wonder if it's just to fill patches between snowmaking weather?
  4. Its a borvig, but you can have it.
  5. I plan on using a steel wire disk on an angle grinder. The hanger on my chair looks to also be welded to the chair as well as bolted, so that should be fun. im not sure I want to remove the hanger or not. It will be easier to turn into a swing chair without it, but it will probably be more stable with it.
  6. Spring mountain made snow today.
  7. I got the chair sitting in my backyard. Plan to strip the layers of paint, seal it from rust, replace the plastic seating pads with wood, and paint it over the next couple weekends if the weather holds.
  8. They should have at least paint the damn slides like a forest green (or ordered them in that color). It would have reduced the circus factor by 6 percent.
  9. I would be inclined to blame the supply chain for this, but everything at blue takes forever. most other areas are installing lifts no problem this year.
  10. Unfortunately, I think within the next decade most areas will have a circus of their own. It will be kind of like the 70’s and 80’s with resorts investing into snowmaking. Those who did stayed afloat, yet many who didn’t became nelsapped.
  11. seriously. Camelbacks looks almost completed. At least blue’s it won’t take 5 years to install like Magic’s quad. (Hopefully) Watch this year be crazy cold and everyone open for thanksgiving, and blue opens with just vista chair due to the new lift still not being done.
  12. They are 150 pounds. I’ve put more weight in kayaks on my roof. Just can’t lift solo.
  13. If anyone lives nearby and wants free beer, I could use an extra set of arms to lift onto my roof racks. they aren’t helping to lift into/onto cars like every other mountain does with their chair sales and my friends bailed.
  14. Did anyone pick up a chair? I got a double but have received no information about picking up the chair.
  15. Boulder is apparently getting new trails too. A new intermediate trail, a couple new crossovers, and the lift line for the Merry Widow lift will be a trail as well.
  16. I wonder if a relocation of that ski patrol building will happen in the future. it breaks up the top to bottom flow for laps off the new lift, and its not like ski patrol can just hop onto a lift next to the building anymore.
  17. Do you still have this seat by chance? I keep ripping through seats on my impreza and according to internet experts there is a good chance this will fit.

  19. The valley cam now has a fantastic view of the quad.
  20. About ten years (maybe further back) I dont remember, but they closed due to inclement weather. However their website said they were open and so did there phone line, even while i was in the parking lot with a bunch of other people being told by security guard that they are closed for the day due to rain. It ended up being a bluebird day in the poconos, and i drove over to shawnee. It was at that point i saw the light...not just blue mountain, but anywhere else besides camelback
  21. Looks like camelback is moving pretty quick! I’ll probably never ride PA’s only and best bubble.
  22. Nidecker now owns flow. They expanded on the rear entry and are now have something called the supermatic. It looks more promising than burtons step ons because you can use any boot.
  23. Blue is really committed to not tearing down that metal power line structure thingy.
  24. If i had to guess, I would say they need space for the bottom terminal which would be pretty substantial in size. It would hav made that intersection an even bigger cluster F*ck. This new alignment if done right would allow Burma road to flow right into shuttle or the valley school hill. That also gives blue two really long top to bottom beginner routes. Beginners love being able to say “they went to the top”
