where in nj are you gonna be staying? i live in south jersey too(about 15 minuits from the del mem bridgs) and head up to bear creek 2-7 times a week, so if your down for it we could carpool or whatnot. that being said, 5 days or so on the hill pays for an offpeak pass, which is what i would reccomend. wouldnt mind showing you around the pocono high peaks either haha
-
yeah i was too poor for anything else haha. i would guess so, either way they dont check lift tickets. i havent been asked to show my pass yet this year. edit:whoevers goin up illbe riding solo. green artifact, says hustin on the bottom.fkna

they have had more snow than boulder had their first week. and boulders lips and landings were fine until later that week when it got extremely warm and they had barely a base. if they have enough snow to make drop on lips they have enough to make normal lips.
-
i love bear but what the fuck is up wiht the lips. these werent even ride ons, they were drop ons. wtf is that.

blue is bigger vertically than cb, with longer more interesting terrain. blue is also alot bigger then frost, however east mountain at frost is more challenging than anything blue has to offer. compared to camelback, blue is a much better mountain due to lifts being actually open, no suprise closings of half the mountain, rangers, ect. the only thing lacking at blue is the snow conditions. they always seem to be the worst out of the pocono mountains, but thats just from my experience. GSS will probobly tell you otherwise.

according to my gps its 505. close enough.

i dont travel by train, but i livejust across the river from philly and plan to go up to vermont after christmas to use my free stratton tickets/ride stowe. i usually have an empty seat or two so your always welcome to join in. i get to killington on a single tank of gas, which is about 30 dollars for me so its much cheaper than taking a train.

although minimal terrain was open, there was quite a bit of snow made, and large piles on the trails that were not opened. a few days of snowmaking and alot more terrain will open up. the south peak quad was absolutely booking. fast as hell, especially later in the night. deepest base depth on the open trails ive ever seen at creek. the rails set up were way to easy and ride on, but there were a few in a hikeable section that were urban style. the cabriolet still sucks. im very impressed what they did with south. the whole mt creek south persona going on, with the paint on the doors and the revamped lodge is really cool. the lodge was clean and being a park rider, i can definately say it had more personality than a normal lodge with the new paint and whatnot. there is a sign on the street as you cross from the parking lot to the lodge that says "you are now entering the largest terrain park in the east". we will see how this pans out, but i am hopeful and i believe they will pull of some good parks this season. i will be back, probobly in february, to see how the whole south/bear park only thing works out. if every trail is seriously a well planned and executed park, then the words "holy shit" will be uttered. i forgot how large of an area the 2 peaks make up. props to creek, i like what i see so far. now all they have to do is cut some more trails on granite to replace the non park trails that were on south and bear. and get rid of the cabriolet.
