snow all morning in montclair today. about an inch. crazy seeing the bright yellow leaves contrast against the snow. wish i had a camera. grilledsteezy-if newton is any higher than 456 feet, im sure theres some decent snow

lights are on. whether or not its blowing out the mice, i always like checking web cams and watching them blow some snow even if it is camelback, so effing what mang it means its coming. might not just be the mice...theres a nice big fan gun chilling right in front of the cam at the base. who knows.

i think any mountain is worth checking out. i had a ton of fun at spring mountain, and roundtop is surely bigger and better than spring. go once, make up your mind from there.

each year my lil bros hockey team has a tournament, usually in lake placid, which means i get to ride whiteface for about a week. this year though, its looking like instead of whiteface, it will be in Michigan. this is bothersome, because it will be hard to convince riding buddies to come to michigan with me, and from what i see everything is extremely small out there. im pretty bummed about this. so prove me wrong? tell me i should be excited? or am i doomed for a week? i was thinking about driving out there as my family flew, and leaving a few days before they did and hit a few small ass resorts in ohio and other states on the way, and making a little midwest documentary. thats the only cool thing i can think about. papasteeze, you seem keen on the park scene across the land of milk and honey, and Midwest input?

i was there yesterday. they need to make more snow soon, but im sure they can keep something open for a few more days.

according to google earth, the vert of the run is aorund 150-200. ill check out a topo map later when the internet speeds up, im curious now.
