i think peak will go for the first open up north, but boyne wants to enter the northeast market with a bang. first to open would be a hell of a way to show off your product. lets not forget some nowhere hill in nc opened first last season...

i definitely recommend bell. i haven't been to whindham, but i have heard the terrain is pretty boring. hunter has aaaalot of backcountry off of the true summit and surrounding bowls, but only in good snow years. bell has high speed lift, no crowds, good snow, and alot of fun stuff to find off piste and on. plus the vibe at bell is so chill and laid back, get at it while it lasts.

the new trails being open is damn impressive.

last october was colder, and look at how the season started. weather is a strange thing young lad. but the lack of arctice ice in the oceans this year isnt going to make the the cold come any sooner.

killingtons season now consists of set dates due to pwdr owning the place. november 15th-april 15th i believe. give or take a few days on each date.

i think the jibmid looks fun. im all about the cement mixer. ive wanted to jib a cement mixer since i first started riding. i always wondered why no resort had one, and never brought up the idea for fear of being made fun of.shit. i think the fdf needs more down to it. and the new rollercoaster looks like it could be amazing, like the one in the mtn lab video.

come around is an awful trail for a park. in my opinion, they should make snow on the other half of that beginner run off of the double near the summit lodge, fence of the side and just have an early season park there.

thats the only reason i really thought of it... top to bottom runs. maybe opening terrain run then tuts lane or whatever that trail is that goes down from the 6pack to lazy mile. the reason i thought of paradise is that with how they usually open, the beginner run they have open is so short that its flooded with people, and ive been bringing nubs up each year to try and get them into riding. im not emailing them because i know none of it is feasible. just a topic to discuss.

my mind was wandering during economics... and i thought of blues snowmaking. any chance there will be a different strategy to opening this year? i was thinking it would be cool to open the base lodge first, with paradise, the school hill, terrain run and maybe razors/challenge. or open sidewinder?
