yeah, the drive through the valley is always an awesome one. i just wish a resort would take initiative to take advantage of the terrain the catskills really have.
-
park is overrated anyway. force your friend to try skiing, tell him you dont want to be seen with him and his gayblades and maybe you can convert him. but i heard you cant turn gays straight. oh well it would be a good day for him to learn in all seriousness, since its the end of the season, good conditions, ect.

about a coating of snowat my home in south jersey, and there was actually more on my campus which is about 20 miles south of that.
-
anyone heading up midweek?
-
i believe there were plans in place to make the true summit of hunter mountain as part of the resort. check this out. http://www.pbase.com/michaeltokyo/hunter_m...in_secret_trail also, a guy at my local shop was telling me that a hike to the true summit leads to amazing tree runs that always have alot of snow since hunter sits in a bowl.
-
awesome. i hope go get to ride stuff like that someday
-
haha im going up with 2 lady friends so im sure there will be plenty of pics taken for myspace hahahahahaha myyyyyspaaaceee makes the world go round and is worth more then diamonds and oil combined and wars will be fought over it.
-
mini zep are you serious? the dude has a resort to run, and with the improvements he mentioned earlier, im sure hes plenty busy right now getting things in order. relax. its only been a few weeks. when he posts, it will be worth the wait.

i drive past lansdale on my way up to boulder, but im only going up for opening till 2 pm saturday since i gotta be back in south jersey by 4pm, so i could hook you up with a ride if you dont mind not staying all day. edit:does boulder open at 8 am again saturday? i cant find the hours for this weekend online anywhere!
-
ill be there saturday morning/afternoon.
-
yes it is. but you need alot of speed to launch off of it. stalling at the top was very tricky. the butter box tilted in the plaza was also pretty fun. they have alot of snow to last till next weekend, which would be sick if they stay open.
-
yeah it was fun to be back on the snow after a few weeks. it sucked because i was sick as a dog. i only ended up taking like 3 runs, but that was fine since i was staying only a half hour away. the up box is siiiiick
-
that would require a whole trail at boulder.... just kidding probobly not, that would be sick.
-
or surfing. surfing is hella fun even if you suck at it
-
anyone else going to be there easter sunday? ill be visiting relatives in scranton so im going to head over for a few hours
-
if it was easter sunday roll call my name would be on that list.
-
http://forums.alpinezone.com/15150-tuckerm...-april-1st.html i guess its not as bad as some were saying. they got over a foot of snow in the bowl from the last storm, but it may not last if the temps shoot up again.

two days is possible. i wanted to go this year, but the coverage is terrible. from what ive read, the main headwall is unskiable, you have to rock climb up to the upper snowfields which have barely any snow on them, or ski the shepburn trail or the lower snowfields. locals say it looks more like late may then early april. so with that in mind, im waiting until next year when there is hopefully more snow, more routes down open (hillmans highway, ect), and when i get an avi probe and beacon.
-
yeah dude just send me a pm.
-
i dont know about you, but 420 is always early at killington, no matter where you park haha. those conditions are beat. i heard it has to do with the sale of killington, and that they did not want to spend pointless money on snowmaking just to sell. most of the other northeast resorts still have alot more coverage then that. oh well. heres to waiting for killys opening day next season to start it off.
-
if your a legit surfer, then your not gonna want it. but if your starting out, its perfect, its what i learned on. its a bic board, which is a different construction and virtually dingproof. its a mini mal shape, 7'3 ft i think. id let it go for about 150 as i used it for a week before i got my fish.
-
if i can get there this weekend i definately wont mind paying 25. to me it seems like a reasonable rate to pay for late season like this.
-
i was wondering that also... i think one day we will see something like this in PA. the mountains know that park riding means alot nowadays, things will catch up sooner rather then later
-
must be. look at boulder and 7 springs.
-
mark got very technical in another thread, and actually stated( if i remember correctly) that if they had the updates to the snowmaking this season that they are going for next season, they wouldve had the chance to remain open. word up to that. first to close isnt all that bad. forces you to go to other places you havent been too. those are always fun even if the mountain is shitty.
