  1. yeah it was fun to be back on the snow after a few weeks. it sucked because i was sick as a dog. i only ended up taking like 3 runs, but that was fine since i was staying only a half hour away. the up box is siiiiick
  2. that would require a whole trail at boulder.... just kidding probobly not, that would be sick.
  3. or surfing. surfing is hella fun even if you suck at it
  4. anyone else going to be there easter sunday? ill be visiting relatives in scranton so im going to head over for a few hours
  5. if it was easter sunday roll call my name would be on that list.
  6. http://forums.alpinezone.com/15150-tuckerm...-april-1st.html i guess its not as bad as some were saying. they got over a foot of snow in the bowl from the last storm, but it may not last if the temps shoot up again.
  7. two days is possible. i wanted to go this year, but the coverage is terrible. from what ive read, the main headwall is unskiable, you have to rock climb up to the upper snowfields which have barely any snow on them, or ski the shepburn trail or the lower snowfields. locals say it looks more like late may then early april. so with that in mind, im waiting until next year when there is hopefully more snow, more routes down open (hillmans highway, ect), and when i get an avi probe and beacon.
  8. yeah dude just send me a pm.
  9. i dont know about you, but 420 is always early at killington, no matter where you park haha. those conditions are beat. i heard it has to do with the sale of killington, and that they did not want to spend pointless money on snowmaking just to sell. most of the other northeast resorts still have alot more coverage then that. oh well. heres to waiting for killys opening day next season to start it off.
  10. if your a legit surfer, then your not gonna want it. but if your starting out, its perfect, its what i learned on. its a bic board, which is a different construction and virtually dingproof. its a mini mal shape, 7'3 ft i think. id let it go for about 150 as i used it for a week before i got my fish.
  11. if i can get there this weekend i definately wont mind paying 25. to me it seems like a reasonable rate to pay for late season like this.
  12. i was wondering that also... i think one day we will see something like this in PA. the mountains know that park riding means alot nowadays, things will catch up sooner rather then later
  13. must be. look at boulder and 7 springs.
  14. mark got very technical in another thread, and actually stated( if i remember correctly) that if they had the updates to the snowmaking this season that they are going for next season, they wouldve had the chance to remain open. word up to that. first to close isnt all that bad. forces you to go to other places you havent been too. those are always fun even if the mountain is shitty.
  15. add a surfboard to the list. dirt cheap used like twice
  16. its amazing how bad sidewinder is. didnt they get more snowguns on sidewinder this year? i wish i was on the snow right now. i just washed my car in shorts at least im going out to by lexan for my carpet setup tomorrow.
  17. have you read any of BC marks posts and the other threads in the BC forum from december and january? inluding this thread? he may be an idiot(just kidding), but his comment does have alot backing it up. you sound like someone who would run a resort like how camelback is run. pwned
  18. bear needs a trail like the old timberline. new timberline is uninteresting. wont snow on the backside melt away? theyd be better off adding trails elsewhere
  19. like killington used to do with superstar.... ive heard stories about skiing above the superstar quad, because thats just how much snow they blew on that. my dads friends refered to it as the superstar glacier..... im sure if an area around here did that, and marketed it, it would be worth it like it was for killington.
  20. ill have pics up tomorrow night. they arent beat at all. i have replacement ladders for them too(not that they need them).
  21. shrimp? are you serious? and all i got was 10 percent off? dayum. sno may be my home mountain next year for sure if i end up going to school around there. aint nothing wrong wtih tall t's, they ad steeze for the rail rats.
  22. spring mountain was also open more then bear. i cannot believe i rode spring as much as i did, and i had a lot of fun doing it, and i will go back this year. i was actually planning on heading to roundtop for a change of scenery, i was bummed to hear the news last week.
  23. how was it? its hard to find good pics of the place.
  24. until there wasnt enough snow? they opened for the season with conditions much worse.
  25. it sucks that we lost out on pretty much a whole month of riding. this season really scared me into shopping around for a pass elsewhere. i mean hell, i rode spring mountain while bear was closed, and i wouldve paid off a jfbb season pass. you cant really fault them for closing now though. they lost enough income this year. i just wish they would do something like seven springs with their late season park.
