its amazing how bad sidewinder is. didnt they get more snowguns on sidewinder this year? i wish i was on the snow right now. i just washed my car in shorts at least im going out to by lexan for my carpet setup tomorrow.
-
have you read any of BC marks posts and the other threads in the BC forum from december and january? inluding this thread? he may be an idiot(just kidding), but his comment does have alot backing it up. you sound like someone who would run a resort like how camelback is run. pwned
-
bear needs a trail like the old timberline. new timberline is uninteresting. wont snow on the backside melt away? theyd be better off adding trails elsewhere
-
like killington used to do with superstar.... ive heard stories about skiing above the superstar quad, because thats just how much snow they blew on that. my dads friends refered to it as the superstar glacier..... im sure if an area around here did that, and marketed it, it would be worth it like it was for killington.

ill have pics up tomorrow night. they arent beat at all. i have replacement ladders for them too(not that they need them).
-
shrimp? are you serious? and all i got was 10 percent off? dayum. sno may be my home mountain next year for sure if i end up going to school around there. aint nothing wrong wtih tall t's, they ad steeze for the rail rats.
-
spring mountain was also open more then bear. i cannot believe i rode spring as much as i did, and i had a lot of fun doing it, and i will go back this year. i was actually planning on heading to roundtop for a change of scenery, i was bummed to hear the news last week.
-
how was it? its hard to find good pics of the place.
-
until there wasnt enough snow? they opened for the season with conditions much worse.
-
it sucks that we lost out on pretty much a whole month of riding. this season really scared me into shopping around for a pass elsewhere. i mean hell, i rode spring mountain while bear was closed, and i wouldve paid off a jfbb season pass. you cant really fault them for closing now though. they lost enough income this year. i just wish they would do something like seven springs with their late season park.
-
honest opinions here, is the park good enough to warrent a 2 hour drive, or should i just go to blue for an hour and a half drive?
-
loser has to buy the most expensive season pass camelback offers for next season... guess ill be at sno tuesday. first time in 9 years.
-
im not even bothering heading up. its raining, going to be total slush, and i know ill have a bad time. ill just wait till tuesday to ride somewhere thats still open wtih even less of a base.
-
ill carpool anyone who wants to go. no joke. this week cannot be my last. jer, what are your hours going to be for the next few weeks(or however long your gonna be open for?)
-
are you just at steamboat or are you riding other places too? i need to seriously get out west. places here are dropping like flies. bears closing sunday, now i gotta treck to blue or sno. beat.
-
last year blue was dead, even after bear closed. ill be up at bear tomorrow night, i hope its a good night. this week is a tossup between blue and sno. i heard both parks are in terrible shape, any comments on that?
-
thats the last thing i wanted to hear haha. im so stressed out wondering if ill get one more day in next tuesday or wednesday. its supposed to get colder first week of april so maybe the snow will firm up. it was pretty slushy at bear on tuesday, i was having trouble clearing the bottom kicker in the tubing park(not the huge one).
-
i hope bear at least stays open until next Tuesday or Wednesday. i wanted to get one more day of filming in this season, and it looks like boulder will be closed midweek, and other resorts are dropping like flies.
-
yeah def keep us posted. if they are closed im going to have to head out to seven springs or southern vermont for a day trip, becasue i have a feeling that bear wont be open next week, and i swore off blue. maybe snotage will stay open though, who knows
-
haha i forgot i made this. i gues 50 for the bindings. also, add a pair of rome 390's to the list. still in great shape.
-
so does this mean they wont be open next week? i was hoping to get up tuesday and wednesday. the new schedule does not say anything about before the 31rst, except that theyll be open this weekend. what gives?
-
agent is my favorite board to ride. works good at high speeds, and its not much harder to press then my artifact. ive retired my artifact to strictly street sessions since its out of control and not fun to ride on anything more then packed powder.
-
rome agent, black and white figments, if your there look for me

hey bcmark, you know how you guys have waivers for hiking in the summer? after you close, post some printable waivers on the website, and get very detailed into them. and make these waivers for hiking up the terrain park trails to ride or ski them. this way you wouldnt need to run a lift, and wouldnt have to pay park crew because the people hiking the park would maintain the features themselves. or better yet, make it a season passholder only option. i think that would be really cool, hiking for your turns/tricks in pa, and the waiver waves you guys from being responsible for injuries. you could even require helmets....

does this mean the parks are closed for tomorrow? because i was planning on going up....
